My husband and I had moved to a wonderful new townhouse that had good flow and light, but our furniture from our previous home didn’t work. With driftwood tone floors, white kitchen and baths, and staircase, we had too many brown furnishings that looked dull and tired. Aliza and Anita of Roomantics gave us a neutral background of beautiful upholstery and case goods and zeroed in on our favorite shades of blue and green for accents. Besides the furniture, the art, rugs, pillows and even the accessories, greenery and silk flowers were selected with great care and artistry. Besides truly enjoying our “new beautifully furnished home” ourselves, the project has also been enthusiastically received by our friends and family when we entertain. We feel Roomantics really captured our style and taste and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

Anita and Aliza are true talents! They transformed 2 dated rooms (living room and dining room) into up to date beautiful living spaces. They work beautifully together and with you to fit your color sense and your style to personalize your home in a showcase. They have a great eye for just the right accessory and placement of your own treasures and heirlooms. They also spruced up my family room and kitchen to create a beautiful flow of overall color and theme for my entire first floor of my home. Truly exceptional designers!

COVID isolation was the perfect time to renovate our dated kitchen and adjoining family room. But how do you do that when you don't want to work in person, or can't? We reached out to Roomantics, and worked together via Zoom. The process was seamless. Their experience gave us ideal solutions to problems we had struggled with for years (like how to get our microwave off the counter). We were able to keep our cabinets by painting them, and leveled out our two counter areas (one which had a lower area for deskwork, and the other a high-low center island). Everything is now bright an updated.

I just loved working with Aliza and Anita, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I had no idea of how I wanted my space to look, so they walked me through each step--finding ideas I liked, deciding what to keep and what to get rid of, picking colors, and choosing furniture and fabrics. I wanted a unique look that was all mine and a livable space for my family, my cat, and me. That's what I got! It's a perfect look that emphasizes my great windows and a few special pieces. Anita and Aliza redecorated 2 rooms for us as well as recommending new paint and floors for most of our house. We bought new furniture and rugs for the dining room; and in the process changed the whole color palette and made it so much lighter and brighter and more modern. We love it. They were able to take a mirror and a couple of paintings from other parts of the house as well as other objects that we love. The second big project was our powder room. We went from having a toilet and pedestal sink to a toilet and beautiful unique vanity. They also added wallpaper, a mirror and new lighting, The room is stunning! Anita and Aliza are so much fun to work with and you get both of them!

Anita and Aliza are an amazing team from start to finish. Their work and style is impeccable. They worked with all our quirks and have transformed our family room to a retreat we love. They are responsive and communicated with us every step of the way. I recommend them highly.

When we bought our new townhouse in Arlington, we decided to completely start over and moved in with a couple of suitcases and some folding chairs. Although we were very excited about our new home, we felt anxious and overwhelmed and had no idea where to start. Enter Anita and Aliza, an amazing dynamic duo that quickly put our minds at ease. From kitchen flooring and backsplash recommendations, to hanging curtains and artwork and everything in between, they transformed our space into a beautiful, yet cozy environment that we now call home. Anita and Aliza provided their expert guidance through every step of the process, and helped design every aspect of every room from the rugs and furniture, to the room decor and accessories. After getting a sense of our taste, they pre-selected pieces that met our color scheme and budget. This approach made it extremely easy for us to select items we liked and didn’t like until each room came together perfectly. Once everything was delivered and put in place, Anita and Aliza did not stop until each room was immaculate. We always looked forward to them trying a potted plant here, a tchotchke there, a sculpture on this shelf, a basket on that shelf, swapping items in an out until we found the ideal arrangement. We are absolutely thrilled with the end result and can’t thank Roomantics enough for their thoughtful, detailed, and tasteful design.
