I highly recommend Rita Lyons. My husband and I are renovating a 100 year old home we purchased during the pandemic. I consulted with Rita on a number of projects. Each and every time she went above and beyond. She has an exceptionally keen eye. She listens carefully and is readily available to discuss the project. Rita research’s options, provides recommendations and steps in so you don’t make any mistakes. Rita’s follow through was my lifesaver time and time again. Finding the right professionals to work with determines the overall success of the projects. Finding Rita was the best gift I gave myself. My only regret is that I didn’t find her sooner.

I am currently a renter and not planning on staying at the location I'm in indefinitely. Rita helped me understand how I could repurpose my furniture for the home. We discussed window design, rugs, pillows and ESPECIALLY COLORS - Rita is great with colors and textures. My husband and I will be consulting her when we move to our permanent home!

Rita came to my apartment to help me arrange furniture and wall hangings I had just moved in after a divorce and leaving a 3 bedroom home and wanted it to feel homey and not cluttered but most importnatly I wanted it to feel like mine using some of the things I had but incorporating some new peices rita has an eye for color, design and was able to see things differently than I could , her advice and ideas helped make my living space so cozy as well as showing me how to make the most of my space considering apartment living is certainly different than having the space of a home but Rita treated me as if I was in a million dollar home

Rita is a true professional. She has excellent contacts and resources to draw from. Her and her Team of contractors transformed my galley kitchen into the kitchen of my dreams. I knew what I wanted to do, but just needed someone to help pull it all together. She saved me time and money by doing a lot of the leg work and came to the table with materials she thought suited my taste. In the end she really nailed it! I was always under the impression that an interior designer would be cost prohibitive but in my experience I found her work to be well worth it and with someone to help hunt for the best prices without wasting time it is a savings in the long run.

Rita is extremely professional and knowledgeable. She helped with the many decisions that need to be made when renovating. Rita helped with tile selection, lighting, wall color, countertops, etc. In addition, whenever problems presented themselves, she was on-site helping come up with solutions. She interfaced beautifully with contractors and was extremely patient when we went out to select materials. She also was great at helping me incorporate existing home decor in the new space for the greatest impact. Once Rita came onboard the project ran much smoother. Her ideas were very sophisticated. We are a high-rise luxury condominium complex on the Gold Coast in Northern New Jersey. We used Rita Lyons Designs on a few projects. As a designer from planning to installation on a Lobby Front Desk, Seating Area and a modernization of our Library furniture. We also used the firm as a consultant for our hallway carpet renovation. She was fantastic - her presentations were wonderful and spot-on for a multi residential building.. Rita followed each of the projects in a timely and professional manner and was ever cognizant of the residents and their demands and needs. Would highly recommend.

We renovated and expanded our 100 year old home in Fair Haven, NJ. Rita understood my plan and vision and was able to pull together unique designs and create a cohesive, sophisticated, welcoming space throughout. My home feels like it tells a story combining the old house charm with some modern pieces and open space. It feels like the beach to me. I like to tell my friends and family that while I think I have some good ideas, Rita was able to wrap them all up along with her creativity ideas in a beautiful bow! This project was so much fun to work on with Rita. With Rita's experience, artistic talent, an eye for timeless pieces and access to design resources, we were able to pull together special places throughout my home. It was really was a great team effort having Rita available to bounce ideas off of my architect and builder when we needed to make some construction changes during the project. I also wanted stained glass in my kitchen. Rita and I worked together with a local stained glass artist who created a one-of-a-kind piece for my kitchen window. Rita was very flexible with time and communication - from me shooting her random texts at all hours to meeting during lunch at the D&D Building in NYC to accommodate my work schedule. If I ever embark on another interior design project, I will definitely reach out to Rita.
