I recently complete this Greenpoint apartment together with Courtney. The design knowledge, understanding of construction process, budget control and attention to detail set her apart from the average designer. The client moves in on the date as promised and she is very happy with the result. Can't wait to start the next project with her.

Courtney is amazing!!! I hired her to spruce up my bedroom and living room and to help me create space in my child's room for another baby. What started out as a daunting task for me turned into a really fun project! She has great taste and style, and helped me maximize impact while being both cost and kid conscious. Courtney loves what she does and brings a joy and excitement to her projects that is contagious. Rather than feeling overwhelmed by how much I felt I needed to do, I learned so much from her and ended up being totally energized. I am thrilled with the results!

I hired Courtney McLeod to decorate my 1 Bedroom condo, We had 2 discussion at the site, and after paying a retain she developed a site plan for the living room. After reviewing the plan, I indicated that I had some concerns about the plan, While i had indicated that I was looking to do the condo in a gray and purple color scheme the shades she had chosen were too dark for a small space. I also had a number of issues with the furniture layout, The sofa which was for watching TV was diagonally across the room and had a bad angle to the TV, Next to the TV was a eames chair and ottoman which i liked but thought was too big for the space. So instead of working on improving the design, She simply quit.

We needed help furnishing and designing our new apartment, especially since we didn't want to bring many of our existing furniture with us. We hired Right Meets Left, and Courtney has done an exceptional job. I have a design background and we've worked with interior designers before, but Courtney has provided an unparalleled combination of flexibility and creativity in meeting our desires while staying within budget. As others have noted, she worked with and effectively combined my husband and my divergent tastes into a unique blend that appeals to both of us. What is most impressive has been her ability to stretch our styles beyond what we would have chosen on our own (pressure-free), and resulted in choices we both love. She was also cognizant of the fact that we have two young children, and helped us make decisions that look fantastic while being kid-friendly. Courtney has an incredible depth of knowledge of design (both current and historical), and provides sound advice on where to invest and where to save. Most importantly, she is a pleasure with whom to work - confident, relaxed, adaptable and personable. I should also note that in addition to designing the look of our apartment, Courtney helped us design our closets and bathrooms. On top of her amazing work, she has a strong, trusted network to help in general contracting, art selection, painting, cleaning, etc., which made life that much easier for us. We could not be happier with the work she has provided.

I contacted Courtney after seeing her amazing work on Houzz. From the first contact, she was professional, responsive, and flexible. I have worked with a lot of people in the industry, and Courtney sets the standard not only for her beautiful, creative designs but also for her respect for clients' budget, timeline, and personal style. Courtney transformed our parlor floor into an eclectic mix of old world charm and sleek modern design. My husband and I moved into a recently renovated modern brownstone and wanted to bring back some of the traditional character, warmth and comfort. Creating the "mix" we were looking for was not an easy task. Courtney immediately had a "vision" for how to transform the space balancing my traditional taste with my husband's modern aesthetic. She really listened to us and offered up relevant suggestions and ideas. She also helped guide us and get us to agree on things. For example, my husband wanted fans while I wanted chandeliers -- Courtney managed to incorporate both into the design and each of us got what we wanted. She also made sure that the space was "kid friendly" for our toddler. Courtney has AMAZING taste and is very creative while at the same time she is a fantastic project manager. She kept the entire project moving and came in on time and under budget (when does this happen?). She was constantly looking out for our best interests and helped guide us on where to make investments versus where we could save money. She also negotiated effectively on our behalf with vendors and secured some fantastic deals for us. Courtney was a pleasure to work with and her work speaks for itself. Everyone who comes to our home now comments that our house looks like it belongs in a design magazine!

I hired Right Meets Left Design to help me design my studio apartment (rental). Like most New Yorkers I have moved constantly and have never really designed my apartment to reflect my personality. Right Meets Left Design helped me to extract the design aesthetic that I could never quite define and did so within a very small budget. I have truly enjoyed the design process and working with the head designer, Courtney. Right Meets Left Design has made what would have been a consuming monotonous process fun and exciting and Courtney's enthusiasm for design has been contagious. My apartment now looks AMAZING and it reflects who I am! I found Courtney completely by accident, and had a hunch we'd work well together. She is a complete professional who loves what she does, and it shows. She may be the one designer I've met who respects a budget and sticks to it. If the high end option seems prohibitive, she always has other options to offer that achieve the same look. She has an encyclopedic knowledge of design sources and impeccable taste. I never felt pushed into doing anything i wasn't comfortable with - quite to the contrary. She was able to take much of what I already had and incorporate it into I home I now love. Having this kind of a relationship with my designer made my experience an entirely positive one. In fact, after working with her, I would not hesitate to give her my keys, and let her do my next apartment from floor to ceiling.

I live in a beautiful high-rise close to the empire state building with balcony and east, south and west views. I did a little bit of furniture buying before reaching out to Right Meets Left Design. My goal was to warm up the apartment, give it a light, seaside feel while incorporating existing furniture and most importantly, stay on a tight budget. Courtney was incredibly easy to work with and made sure that she understood what I was trying to create by constantly providing options which made my preferences also easier to express. Courtney is very smart and has an incredibly good taste, while still be resourceful finding unique pieces at ebay, street vendors, etc. I was amazed at the quality of work and if at times parts would increase the budget, she would always check in with me first. I’m incredibly happy with the apartment and she made a great difference in how the place feels.

Courtney was a superstar for me from the beginning of redesigning my apartment throughout the whole project. She has a great sense of style that is both creative and elegant - but what I really liked is that she also was very intent on crafting a look that would work uniquely for me - and fit my style, price and comfort. I would highly recommend Courtney for a variety of interior design projects - she is passionate, proactive, and very detail oriented- so I could relax and working with her was truly enjoyable.
