Ms. Raso and her team were wonderful to work with during the remodel of my kitchen and bathroom in my 100 year old bungalow home in Seattle. I was grateful that Ms. Raso could apply her years of experience with designing high end home remodels to my more moderate project. She knew how to utilize the most cost efficient sources for window cushion fabrics, appliances, custom builders for my window seat, lighting and fixtures, and creative space saving cabinets. She is a delightful professional who respected my concerns and my budget and taught me so much about design.

We have had the pleasure of working with Paula for over 10 years. During that time, Paula helped us update every room in our house. Paula listened to our ideas, often vague, and came back with a complete vision, new and better ideas and great recommendations. Paula has the ability to sense what you like and incorporate that into every aspect of the design. With our projects, Paula worked closely with the contractor during every phase as a go between making it go much easier on us with our busy schedules. In the end, every room flowed together making our home so beautiful with everything we needed and a joy to live in. We recently purchased a new home and are beginning a whole house remodel. We are really excited to be working with Paula again on another big project. She is such a pleasure to work with and brings so many great ideas and recommendations to every part of the project from the early design to the final stages from floor to ceiling. There is no one else we would use to design our home and to make it a home we will truly enjoy.

Paula's exquisite sense of space, color, shape, flow, and texture were invaluable to us in our total remodel of our Kirkland home. She has a rare talent for both understanding the client's tastes and desires while also opening their minds to new ways of looking at things, resulting in beautiful, comfortable, elegant home surroundings. Architect: Charles Strazzara of Meng-Strazzara Contractor: W G Clark Project dates: 2007-2011 Project scope: Our project involved building and decorating a residence to highlight our art collection. We began working with Paula during the design phase of our project. She worked with the developer, contractor, sub-contractors, and workmen. Her interaction with everyone was gracious, thoughtful and considerate. She made suggestions and changes to the plans, and worked with us to select finishes, counter tops, flooring and wall colors. Paula is a genius with color. She managed to select one color of paint which would work well with every piece of art and maintain continuity throughout. She drew electric plans for special lighting, cabinets for media equipment, and figured out a way to place televisions in locations other than above a fireplace! She offered a variety of fabrics and furniture for us to select. The finished product is very elegant, urban and livable. Her suggestions for a variety of places to eat, work and entertain were creative and proved to be perfect. All of the subcontractors were excellent. In all we worked with Paula for five years and she became a friend during that time. We relied on her expertise, design acumen, and professional contacts. She has since helped our daughter with several projects. We have also referred her to friends. She is easy to work with. Listens carefully and articulates our vision better than we could. She knows where to spend money and where to get by with less. We highly recommend her.

A designer interfaces with many people in the course of a project. Paula Devon Raso is a skilled and diplomatic go between for the client and the subcontractors, which is a rarely acknowledged aptitude that can have great influence over the quality of a finished project. I am a specialty contractor and have worked with Paula on a number of projects. A a designer, she is wonderfully creative and thoughtful. When she calls me in to participate in a project, I know it will be well organized, well run, the other subs will be the best on the market and that the finished project will be very, very beautiful.
