Laurie was the designer in our remodel for our whole house, with the exception of a few rooms. Her expertise and professionalism exceeded beyond what we could have imagined. It's been almost a year since completion and we could not be happier with her touches. She is exceptional with color, space and finding creative ways to make any idea work in a room. The style I was going for was Modern Hollywood Glamour and she nailed every aspect. She paid close attention to every detail, brought her own ideas, listened closely to mine-and honed in on functionality where it was needed. She spent endless hours with me to bring my ultimate visions to reality and and my husband and I are so thankful to her. She is so talented, energetic and always positive - you will not be disappointed if you hire her;-)

Laurie is FANTASTIC! She is very creative with her thinking and ideas. I felt she really listened to what I wanted and had to say. She responds and gets appointments set up quickly and manages all components in a timely manner. Plus, she stayed within my budget. She would come up with ways to save ME money. If I was to remodel or build I would definitely use her expertise. She was referred by my son and wife and they love what she did in their townhome. In our new home she helped with paint and furniture color, furniture placement-indoor and out. She really knows how to pull a room together for that comfortable feel. Laurie is amazing at her craft. When I have moved in with my boyfriend he had a total bachelor pad. It was outdated need a lot of TLC. I tried picking out colors myself but it was a fail. So I asked Laurie to help me. she really made it easy for me. She was prompt at getting back to me, had great ideas listened to me, And really made the process fun. I had a fantastic experience - we looked at the area I wanted to paint and focused on a few color choices. On a second appointment we discussed the differences, natural vs. artificial light situations and decided on the final paint scheme. It turned out fabulously and I am glad we had two sessions and spent the time before the project was started. It was well worth the money considering how much quality paint costs - this way I knew the result would match my expectations. High recommended ! thanks JP

I can't say enough about Laurie's remake of my home! She was able to blend my ideas and preferences for some areas with her guidance for other areas I didn't have a clue about. The results turned a previous renovation from blah to sparkling. Scope of her work was extensive but overall cost was less than expected. Work included: replacing carpet, refinishing hardwood floors, replacing/repurposing furniture that resulted in redefined living spaces, repainting the entry to liven up the space, better lighting, hanging family heirloom quilts to show them off, framing and hanging artwork, and enclosing an unused nook into a closet. Wish I had before/after pictures to share as the result was just stunning. But more importantly it was a place I liked to live and reflected me and my history.

Laurie is a true artist!!! She completely helped us transform our rough vision into an amazing reality. She is patient.... She listens to her clients.... She is amazingly creative

This is the second time we contracted Laurie, and we hope to work with her for large and small projects as our home develops. We like especially that she is easy and fun to communicate and plan with. She has a good feel for what we are aiming for, both style wise and price wise. She helps out with the whole project by not only recommending styles, furniture and colors but also stores, contacts, technical advice and so on. This time we contracted her to help us prioritize actions needed to prepare our house for AirBnB. She pointed out a lot of things that we would not have thought of, and gave us input on what guests care about, and what is less important. We would very highly recommend Laurie anytime!

I have hired Laurie to design and install a zen temple inside my livingroom. On her first visit she already could see how to reorganize my space to allow a temple to be created. She used feng shui principles to divide the space into the natural energies flows and came up with design ideas for me to connect to. I felt I was co-creating with her and only the items with the highest resonance were selected. Laurie was on top of the orders, the installations and communicated to me on a timely manner throughout the project. Her communication was clear and ensured we are on the same page all the way to the end. She managed all the communications with vendors so I did not have do a thing. I am now enjoying my temple that only 2 months ago was merely an idea. I would highly recommend working with Laurie and Miranda Design.

I loved working with Laurie to furnish and design my home interior, and I love the results of our collaboration every day, as I enjoy my cozy, comfortable home. For me, buying and furnishing my new home was an emotional time. Laurie went above and beyond to support me, both in how she worked with me and how she managed project timelines. First, she listened carefully to my tastes and lifestyle. I knew she understood me when I threw her a curveball on Day 2--suddenly adding the problem of needing a place for my 11 boxes of books; she responded by suggesting my lifelong Dream: a library ladder. Joy! Then, she took me furniture shopping, and helped me make decisions (something I was struggling with). I've loved every decision. For the library ladder--the only construction element to the project--having Laurie was critical. She found me the best materials, sourced excellent hardware at a good price, supervised installation, and insisted on perfect quality (making the painter return to touch up the stain, for free). I could never have managed that part of the project so well. Of course my "urgent" project slowed--by my own needs. She handled my shifts easily, worked with my new timelines, and got me to just where I wanted to be, right when I was ready. I started with a largely empty house. I now have a beautiful home that pleases me, comforts me, fits my lifestyle, and frankly brings me joy every day. I am happy to recommend Laurie, and will hire her again if ever I need more interior design work.

Laurie is a creative yet functional designer. She has a great sense of space and how to use it effectively. She really works well with me understanding how my house works and what I need and like. She has a great eye for color. She has suggested colors I would never have thought of and explains why these colors work in the rooms. I have two difficult hallways circa 1968 which are long and dark. Her suggestions livened them up. Easy cost effective fixes. They now look great. After nearly 27 years in the house, they are pleasant to be in now. We are also working in making the family room into a 'pub' look. Laurie took a hard space and designed a fantastic pub. Again the colors she suggested are fabulous. The overall design is fun and uses the space perfectly. The room has been transformed into a really special usable fun space. The details she suggested are just great such as copper look ceiling tiles and velvet window coverings. A mixture of color and texture all making a traditional pub look but with a nice upbeat twist. She is easy to work with. Always clear about her communications. She has a sense of humor yet is very professional. I'm planning on using her creative services in the future for a very large great room redo!

Laurie Miranda of Miranda Design Associates has helped me choose paint colors for every room in my home and also helped my husband and I redesign our kitchen (a complete remodel). She has also helped us with furniture placement in various rooms and also purchasing specific pieces. She is knowledgeable, professional, and patient; she has a great attitude, really easy to work with, and the final results are both beautiful and functional. She really listens, and it is clear that she tailors her recommendations and designs to the desires and personalities of her clients. In terms of choosing paint, she is always respectful of my concerns but often encourages me to be braver with my color choices. I have always been very happy with the results. For example, she recommended that we paint over a brick fireplace and large mantel in our family room, using colors I would have never considered. Before, this was clearly the ugliest, most dated room in the house. After painting, the family room became a gorgeous, warm room for entertaining. I appreciate that she often thinks "outside the box". This was clear when she helped us with our kitchen. She suggested walling off a doorway (it was an extra door frankly), and moving appliances around in a way I had never thought of. The result was stunning, beautiful, and extremely functional. People would walk in and just say "wow"! I had friends mourning over our kitchen when we moved (by the way, our house sold very quickly even though we had NO white walls). She is now helping us with our current home. I highly recommend Ms. Miranda for all your design needs.
