It provokes emotions.” McCory Interiors is a CT based design firm currently working on private residences & boutique storefronts throughout CT, PA, Manhattan NY, Boston MA, and Minneapolis MN. A 1996 graduate of Syracuse University, Kristen attended the university on a full basketball scholarship & studied Interior Design & Surface Pattern Design. In 1997 Kristen moved to Europe and continued her career as a professional athlete, representing the countries of Germany, Luxembourg, and Finland. While living in Europe Kristen explored 13 different countries, studied the unfettered views of Interior Design, and found power in the differences each country had to offer. Following the end of her athletic career Kristen moved to NYC. She worked with Stark Wallcovering & Old World Weavers, later worked as a designer assistant, & utilized her surface pattern design background in the decorative arts. Today Kristen is known for her comprehensive palette & her extensive knowledge in the decorative arts. Stemming from a desire for unique textures & unexpected details, she pushes the envelope while still classically executing each space. Kristen is quirky & unpredictable, yet sophisticated & refined in both designability and personality. She designs with confidence & intention, is fearless with color, offers a balanced mix of materials & juxtaposes styles. McCory Interiors, works within different sizes and scales for various spaces. From 1,000 sq ft. Manhattan apartments, to 14,000 sq ft. homes in the country. No matter what the size, she will take the time to layer your home with variance to make it a unique and comfortable experience for your family and guests.
