We hired LGV to help us refurnish and reconfigure layouts to maximize our open concept living spaces. Lorraine and Mary-Kate were very responsive and were able to effectively balance the modern and traditional tastes of my husband and I. We hired Lorraine Vale's design team to help us create a home that was both functional and representative of our family. We have been so pleased with the knowledge and professionalism that Lorraine has brought to this process. Lorraine Vale gave me the time and the use of her experience to make my new house a home. Lorraine stayed at the house while the wallpaper was being put up, to make sure all went as planned. She shopped with me, and was never satisfied at things being “OK” she wanted things to look perfect and went though countless fabric samples to find just the RIGHT one for my DINING room chairs. I was not thrilled with the contemporary style and furnishings that came with the house, but with Lorraine’s guidance, my house is now a place that I LOVE to call home.

I met Lorraine through Novella Homes who is building our house. She is very professional and well-respected by the vendors we met. Lorraine scheduled and attended our appointments keeping track of everything for us. She was extremely helpful with the multiple tile visits creating the drawings just how I wanted the layout.

I am the second owner and Lorraine did the design work for the first owners as well. I was initially attracted to the home not only for the standard to which it was maintained, but also by the exceptional furnishings. The rooms were beautiful and the house a showplace. I also looked at her website and her past projects. She brings a creative flare and confidence that make her results both unique and impressionable. Prior to making the move here, like most of us, I had furniture which I needed to keep or sell. I called Lorraine and sent pictures and she was kind enough to make suggestions just based on the size and style of the old furnishings and her familiarity with my new home. The initial conversation began with an overview of my decor, my favorite pieces and what might be worth moving. Those decisions are never easy but her advice was invaluable. Once here, Lorraine and I met for the first time and our meeting went well. I left with a feeling of confidence. Lorraine is charming and organized, well prepared and very conscientious. My thoughts for her were rather explicit. I needed someone who could avoid the mistakes that I might make myself and the project needed to be seamless throughout. I wanted my Michigan furniture to be a coherent and lucid part of the project and the new selections to bring in excitement and style. Lorraine read me from the beginning. I have been happy and delighted with every recommendation and all of the furnishings. I was overjoyed with each new piece and saw each piece as part of my personal conception and our mutual vision. The terms for purchasing new items, her design fee and administrative fee are written in detail and explained in the contract. Lorraine has followed each proposal with an invoice and has been prompt with installations. She has excellent resources and assumes complete responsibility to see that the work is done right without exception. Any minor issues have been resolved to my complete satisfaction and she has earned my trust that the end result will meet my high standard of perfection. In conclusion, I have recommended Lorraine to other friends, as they have ask asked me for her name and my opinion. She helped us choose appropriately scaled furniture, draperies, bedding and accessories for both bedrooms and the living area and was onsite for installation. Her deep knowledge, experience and resources were invaluable in guiding us. She worked within our budget, provided choices that met our style and color preferences, met deadlines and was an absolute pleasure to work with.
