Lara was a pleasure to work with and a true professional from start to finish. I had moved from Manhattan to Rye Brook and was really overwhelmed in decorating my house. As soon as I reached out to Lara my beautiful home came together. Lara is easy to work with and takes into account everything you are looking for and is diligent on following up throughout the whole project. Over the last year, we renovated a master bathroom, master closets, a fireplace and a half bathroom with Lara's help. We also furnished our living room, mudroom and grand foyer, picked out colors/wallpapers for several other rooms, did a facelift to a small full bathroom, and are currently in the process of furnishing our bedroom with her. She has great taste, a lot of experience, connections with several industry resources/vendors, and she always takes our likes, dislikes, and concerns into account. She's definitely been instrumental in turning our traditionally decorated, tired looking house into a lovely, more modern home for us. We hope to continue to work with her as we settle and update/refurnish our other rooms/spaces.

We have recently completed a renovation project under the watchful eye of Lara Michelle, and we are thrilled with the professional and efficient way that every detail was handled. We were abroad for much of the project and any issues were very quickly resolved, with the whole process running smoothly and on time. I hired Lara for my new office in Manhattan. She was always on time, well prepared, and very pleasant to work with. She is super creative and was able to translate my ideas into an awesome space that I really enjoy being in for many hours every day. I should also note that she was able to stay within budget, and she coordinated all the logistics with the various vendors, which made the entire experience all the more pleasant for me.

Lara worked with us as we gutted our entire house. She project managed on a weekly basis because we lived in the city and I was pregnant with our 2nd. We were very dependent on her being onsite, handling every detail and making real-time decisions. She did an exceptional job understanding our style, family needs and thinking out of the box when we had to find solutions/workarounds. Our home was featured in home catalogs, websites, etc.

Lara Michelle helped me decorate the main floor of my house and continues to help with projects as needed. The work included floor staining, window treatments, custom rugs, furniture, artwork and accessories as well as design layout. Lara is excellent to work with and goes above and beyond for her clients. I value her expertise and know she is always giving me an honest opinion. She does a great job finding design options that fit budget guidelines. Anytime I am thinking about changing something in my home she is my first call!

As a workroom that works with several designers, I can honestly say Lara is one of my favorites. We have worked on numerous projects together, over many years. Her attention to detail is consistently thorough. She has an amazing eye and sense of style, mixing colors, fabrics, textures and styles. Each of her designs is uniquely different and tasteful, client to client, this makes it fun and exciting to work with her.

We worked with Lara Michelle interiors in 2013 as we embarked on an extensive remodel (6 month project) on our home in Westchester and I recommend her with zero reservations. Lara was a consummate professional. Here are a few key strengths: 1) Domain expertise in design: Lara clearly is an expert in her field and always came to us with creative and beautiful options 2) Organized with great communication and project management skills: We always knew where we were with our project; what was done and what was left to be done 3) stayed within our bugets: Lara was great about being respectful of our budgets and more importantly explaining tradeoffs between decisions 4) Great customer service oriented personality: Lara was so easy to work with... Lara designed my dining room, living room, built-in bar, and bed, and she designed built-ins for several rooms in my apartment. She also provided extensive design advice on my master bathroom, children’s bedrooms, and kitchen renovations. She is extremely talented - she has great advice for any design-related issue, and she has clever solutions for all kinds of problems. For example, I loved a bed that I saw in a store - but I needed something more supportive and in a lighter material. Lara was able to design and have her carpenter build a custom-made bed to my specifications, and she also helped me choose more resilient, long-lasting, and beautiful fabric than the one in the store. And, the bed cost significantly less! Our new built-in bar is stunning, with a custom kenya marble countertop from a slab that Lara found, and it has a really cool lighting design that I never would have thought of myself. Lara knows all the best designers at various price points and understands the pros and cons of each material. She also has great relationships with lots of vendors, so she can get the best materials and pricing. I could go on and on about Lara. She is meticulous and creative, and she truly understands all aspects of interior design and can complete any project on-time and on-budget.
