Female owned and operated, KJ Design Collective has over 8 years of design and purchasing experience in the interior design industry. We are a full service interior design firm specializing in residential renovations, and interiors rooted in a modern + transitional aesthetic. Principle Designer and Co-Founder Janine Rivero leads the creative side of the business. Purchasing/Project Management guro and Co-Founder Karina Gonzalez directs the companies day to day business. When we aren't immersed in our projects we enjoy hanging with family, sipping some Rose by the beach or our favorite local restaurants and of course shopping! At our core, we are a team that values hard work and dedication. We treat every project with excitement and passion for original design, while bringing a collaborative experience between our process and our clients' needs/wants. We truly believe home is where the heart is. Your home should reflect your personal style and be a functional space you feel positive in. We think design can be affordable and we pride ourselves in bringing cost effective solutions to the table. We are all about mixing high and low pieces to create a cohesive and beautiful home. Our firm is available to assist in all aspects of a project from start to finish, including renovations of any size, decorating, styling and interiors for all.

I can’t say enough good things about the entire KJ team!! My husband and I had a vision when we were ready to remodel our house, however; we knew we weren’t sure how to execute it. We hired KJ and they held our hand throughout the entire process. They exceeded our expectations!! Most importantly, they were very patient as we ran across many hurdles and we re scheduled our remodel a whole year later. So thankful we had them to navigate us throughout this entire remodel.

We did an 8-month complete interior remodel with KJ and could not have been more impressed with the responsiveness, willingness to accommodate, and attitude. In a sea of sub-par service and contractors in South Florida it was amazing finding someone so easy to work with. We will definitely be back for more!

We hired KJ design not once but twice during our home renovations. We had an outstanding experience. We were so impressed with our first round kitchen remodel that when we found out we needed to expand for our growing family, we went back to Janine and Karina to design a new master bed and bath, renovate our main bathroom, and reconfigure our living room. We were so pleased and happy with the process and final results. They truly made our house a home! Renovating can be stressful but not with this team on your side. I strongly recommend and would refer KJ design to anyone looking to make home updates and/or refresh any space to reflect your person style.

KJ Design Collective delivered results for my home that were even better than my expectations. Janine and Karina are very detailed in their work and they are truly amazing at what they do. They helped with the design in my living room, kitchen and dining room and I could not be happier. They listened to our style and delivered a one of a kind design that I have not seen anywhere. We are constantly getting compliments on our home and we recommend KJ Design with our eyes closed. True professionals. Highly recommend. We cannot wait to use them again one day!

I hired KJ Design Collective to design and furnish our family room and dining room area. They absolutely nailed it. They were able to bring my and my husbands taste to our home and we’re willing to work within our budget. It turned out beautifully and it is by far our favorite space in our home.

I had absolutely no idea how to go about the renovations we needed done after purchasing our first home. I was looking for a trusted guide who could help me with the design and flow of the kitchen, dining, and living room. This included a complete kitchen renovation and removing two main walls. K&J were SO AMAZING. They did all the heavy lifting and came back with ideas and concepts that matched my vision. I get very overwhelmed when searching online and making huge and costly decisions. K&J gave me 2-3 options and that was all I needed. Even when we ran out of tile (my fault) they patiently and smoothly helped me decide which way to go next. What I liked most is that they cared about how the project turned out, about all the little details, and about how it functioned for our family. I asked a lot of questions, and they always responded ASAP. This included things like FaceTiming with the electrician in real-time to ensure the pendant spacing was correct :) So happy that we had their guidance!

Where can I start? We hired KJ Design Collective for our Master suite remodel. Our townhouse was built in 1997 and since then had received two botched makeovers. We were looking to have, despite the small space, a master bath that we could truly relax in but wanted it to look and feel inviting and beautiful. I didn’t really know what my style was definitively other than I could categorically speak to what worked and what didn’t for my taste. [Enter the dynamic duo] These ladies truly captured in a few exchanges and a couple of pins what my husband and I envisioned. They just knew. And then went and created a space that exceeded all of our expectations. The project timelines were crisp, the process was smooth and effortless, they were engaged and involved and we couldn’t be happier. We are in love with what they did to this space. My husband and I will catch ourselves just looking at it at times and admiring it in disbelief. We are so very grateful for their work, their time and talent and all the little details (from personalized notes to creative touches) that brought this space to life for us in a very personal and special way. We would recommend them ten fold.

Karina and Janine helped us with our home renovation in Miramar, Florida. The house was built in 2007, and needed many updates before we moved in. We remodeled our kitchen, master bathroom, powder bath and floors. They were able to deliver floor plans, renderings and décor choices for every room. With their attention to detail, and beautiful aesthetic we were able to have our dream home come to life. I cannot thank them enough for all of their hard work on this project! We hired KJ Design Collective to help with the remodel of our kitchen and exterior of our home. We purchased our home and knew we needed a full renovation. The room that gave us the biggest challenge was the kitchen. We needed help maximizing the space and updating it out of the 1970s. What they did was transform our kitchen into a space we could have not imaged. We have a galley kitchen that’s feels larger than most eat-in, we have 26 cabinets/drawers and over 95 square feet of countertops with a full size walk in pantry. The design reflects our style and personality with the functionality of kitchen we love to cook and entertain in. It was so beneficial to have a partner during this renovation process to help guide us with labor, materials, and design choices. We over looked a lot of small things that were brought up during our consultation, specifically utilizing different lighting and textures that really transformed the space. KJ Design Collective helped us turn our house into a home.

I wanted a modern farmhouse homey feel, and that is exactly what they delivered. Install day was a breeze, KJ did all the purchasing, handled deliveries, exchanges, and took care of anything else that needed attending. The whole process was fun and easy!
