My experience with Katie was pleasant from day one. I presented her with the task of helping me downsize from a three bedroom townhouse to a one bedroom unit at a retirement village. She helped me with the difficult choices of what furniture pieces would be best to retain. She was always available to meet me, and her presence on moving day was invaluable. Katie was a pleasure to work with, and helped us to furnish a room off of our new kitchen. This room had a very comfortable breakfast booth, and two beautiful but way oversized leather sofas which we brought to our new house via a move. It is very hard to give up on furniture you love even when it just doesn’t fit in the intended space. However, after listening to us, Katie helped us pick out a new sofa with two comfortable chairs, plus a new kitchen dining set that brought this room together. Katie is such a help because she is a good listener, and then applies her excellent knowledge of products to the situation. We enjoy this much used space off of our kitchen, and the whole experience went much smoother and easier that we expected – because of Katie’s getting to know our taste and style quickly. We have done some upholstery work with her also because she is just so knowledgeable, and can put her finger on what we are trying to visualize. It’s wonderful knowing that we have her expertise to rely on.

Katie did an awesome job helping us through the entire selection process. She helped with the layout, color selection, furniture options, fabric selection and kept us on budget! She asked us about our style preferences and took it from there. She was even at our house when the furniture was delivered to make sure everything was perfect and directed the movers to place it in the correct location. We started working with Katie a few years ago when we wanted to decorate our family room. We were so pleased with the outcome of the room that there was no question we were going to continue with her for other rooms in our home. When friends come over and look at the rooms she decorated they all say “WOW”. Our family room was original to the house and needed a complete overhaul so Katie helped us plan the room layout, pick out furniture and decide on flooring. We went to see her several times with flooring samples to make sure it went with the furniture we liked. This was in addition to her visiting our home a few times so we can honestly say she is very pleasant to work with and very patient in helping us decide on something. I think it’s worth mentioning that there were two pieces of furniture that had sentimental value which we really didn’t have a place for. We ended up buying several new items for the living room through Katie, but she also incorporated the two existing pieces we had which now look like they were made for the room because of Katie’s design skills. Because of our experience, we highly recommend Katie, and from seeing her reviews there are many others who feel the same way. In addition, she was recently recognized in an article as a top 25 designer in Pennsylvania which is not at all a surprise to us.

Needless to say it was very unnerving not to be present for the work that had to be done. Katie was incredible to work with. Not only is she a pleasure to work with she is also very talented. I grew up surrounded by interior designers as my mother was one and I would work in her stores from grade school through my college years. However; we recently moved into a very unique home and I was struggling with the design. Katie came to our home, got a feeling for what we were looking to accomplish and within just a few days provided us with a design plan. The plan was beautiful and while I was not 100% certain on some of the items (beautiful on paper but I was not sure about the finish and size) we decided to trust her expertise and purchase everything she suggested. My husband and I are slowly renovating and updating our home, which we purchased about 4 years ago. I like traditional as well as contemporary and Katie has done a phenomenal job blending the two styles while incorporating new pieces as well as our old pieces from our previous home. I selected a huge number of accessories from the showroom for an installation on a job I was doing. Katie was amazing!!! She made sure everything was wrapped and ready for me to pick up right on time. She not only had a list of the items at my cost, but she made a second list with the retail amounts for me to use with my client. Then, she gave me copies of the pictures of all the items. It was such a big help to keep me organized. Not only that, but she gave me her cell phone number, so I could call her on her day off in case I had any problems or questions. This was the best decision we ever made . Given we had very little time to go to a showroom, she brought everything to us, either by email or in person. The layout she put together in our sun room was not something I thought of, and I love it. Additionally, our fabric headboard was a bit tricky due to the type of bed we have. Katie was able to take all the measurements and ensure that it would function the right way, and it does!

Katie visited our home to measure space, take samples of hardwood and paint and looked at existing pieces of furniture we wanted to use before working up her design plan for the room. After meeting with her to review the plan, she brought samples of our choices to the house before final selections were made; during this visit, she recommended lighting enhancements and suggested how we could use some existing artwork in the room. The scale and placement of the furniture, the window treatments and colors in the window treatments and rug resulted in a family room that is "warm and comfortable" which was the goal we communicated to Katie during our initial meeting. Throughout the process, Katie was always accessible to us. We would highly recommend her to others and would select her for future decorating projects in our home.

Katie is wonderful--very energetic with great ideas. She helped us make over 2 rooms, the TV/living room and a large connected space which was a formal sitting and dining room which is now a computer/study/play room. She utilized our existing pieces (armchair and shelves) that we had already and really worked with us to come up with a warm color palette which was modern and comfortable. She also helped us reconfigure and move furniture around which made for better flow. She was open to our using furniture from other vendors, and even went to check out a table from the other vendor to give us her approval. We bought a sectional couch, a sleeper couch and ottoman, drapes, valance, and 4 rolling chairs. It was an excellent experience and we recommend her highly!

I've been working with Katie to furnish our second home, which is not in an easily accessible location. We are working with floor plans only, no home visits, and Katie is more than up for the challenge. She is a pleasure to work with, and brings much decorating expertise and good design instincts to the table. Katie is a true professional and very easy to work with. We have used her on several decorating projects, including living room and sunroom furniture and window coverings. She quickly picks up on what you like and where your price point is and keeps both of those in mind in offering suggestions. We were trying to incorporate pieces we had used in a previous home with new pieces. Specifically we were trying to make a cohesive look with colors that were difficult to find together in prints. Katie spent time pouring through samples until she found just the right colors to make the living room pop. She is very knowledgeable about her products and was right on with suggestions for use of outdoor material on cushions for the sun room while utilizing indoor cushion material for comfort. When one of our window coverings turned out to be unsuitable, she brought several alternative ideas to our home and had a new covering made which turned out great and at no extra cost to me. Katie has worked with us twice on furnishing rooms in our house. Most recently, she visited our gutted basement space and I described the remodeling plan. She walked among the rough floors with wires hanging loosely from the ceiling and came up with a design plan that suited the room perfectly. The design included several very functional pieces with some fun elements that would make for a terrific family space for both movie watching and kids' play. We were thrilled with the decorating ideas that Katie brought to us and we we definitely work with her again in the future. As an aside, our leather ottoman arrived with a small mar and I emailed Katie for a solution. She immediately put me in touch with Ethan Allen's customer service area and less than a week after the furniture was delivered, the ottoman was repaired as though there were never an issue.

Having never worked with Katie before, I found her to be respectful and a great listener to my vision and wishes for the room we were tackling. Not until I had given her an idea of what it was we were looking for in the room, and what it was that I thought we were attempting to do, did she quietly suggest what would make this project even more successful. She understood well what my vision for the room was and helped me fill in the missing links, as well as adding a couple of things that I had not thought of that eventually made this room into the ultimate library. I have never worked with an interior designer who had such a good ear for what her client wanted and worked so well in tandem with me. Katie was the primary designer on an apartment renovation we did a year or so ago. By renovation, I mean "gut job" -- because everything in the apartment (even a few walls) was replaced. Moldings, floors, ceilings, kitchen, baths.... everything. We gave Katie floorplans (with dimensions), a few photos, and a budget (albeit a generous one) and met with her often to choose furniture, fabrics, wall colors, art, and everything else that goes into a well-designed home. She was, in short, fabulous! She listened to our aesthetic and did not try to impose hers. She came to the apartment when all the architectural work was completed to fine tune the interior design. She (and her manager at KoP -- a great guy by the way) expedited delivery of furniture and other items we had purchased, since we had a "reveal" scheduled for a specific date for our parents (who had no idea we were doing this until we handed them the keys and let them in the front door). She arrived with the furniture and tuned and tweaked the rooms until they were perfect. The end result was, numerous people have commented, right out of an interior design magazine. We could not have been more pleased. Katie has a great skill set in design and the patience of Job (we aren't the easiest people to accommodate). We will definitely go back to her for assistance with our next adventure in home design.

I didn't really think my home looked "bad", but with Katie's impeccable eye for detail it has been transformed.
