Katherine Shenaman Interiors specializes in high-end interior design, with an emphasis on the fine and decorative arts. With a design philosophy rooted in classicism, Ms. Shenaman often offers a contemporary twist on the traditional. Locally, she’s known for delivering a Palm Beach look – without the cliché. Each project is unique, as both the needs of her clients and the architecture of the space are taken into consideration.
Ms. Shenaman enjoys working on a variety of projects, both residential and commercial. Whether selecting antique tile for elegant Palm Beach homes or designing bespoke lighting for Manhattan restaurants, she competently manages each project. She has also worked in the Bahamas, the Hamptons and London. Her passion for and knowledge of historic restorations adds an extra dimension to her resume. One of her most recent projects was recognized by the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach with the Ballinger Award (2010).
Ms. Shenaman studied at the University of Buckingham and The Wallace Collection in London where she earned her MA in British and French Decorative Arts and Historic Interiors. She also holds a BA in Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University. Now based in Palm Beach, Ms. Shenaman contributes her services to nonprofit organizations such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County the Greater Palm Beach Area Chapter of the American Red Cross, and to Church of the Harvest in Pahokee, FL.
