Introspecs is a full-service Interior Design firm, owned by Principal Designer, Allisen Larsen. Introspecs serves clients throughout the Pacific NW; providing holistic, intelligent design in both residential and boutique commercial environments.
With over 17 years in the field of Interior Architecture and Design, Introspecs uses an intuitive and collaborative approach to design. Creating an open-dialogue and team-based atmosphere, Introspecs finds satisfaction in listening to and building on client goals; creating intrigue and shaping distinct spaces that fit unique clients. Our team uses a variety of mediums to develop and communicate design; starting with compiling precedent images and generating quick sketches in the schematic phase, she follows with refined CAD-based design drawings. Introspecs regularly partners with compatible, high-integrity professionals who communicate, contribute to solution-oriented and value engineering processes, and whom enrich the overall project experience for the clients and design/build team. Introspecs was referred to us by our architect Marty Buckenmeyer for help on a major remodel to our 1926 home. We finished our basement and gutted our top floor to add a master suite and extra bathroom for our children. This project was to huge for us to handle on our own, Allisen was super easy to work with and very organized and communicated well with us throughout this entire project! She helped us blend the existing main floor with the new additions keeping it clean and simple. By suggesting painting our kitchen cabinets and changing out fixtures, our main level looks brand new as well, making it seem like we have a brand new house! Allisen and Virginia have great attention to detail and we will continue to use them in the future, as we have a few more projects to complete. We look forward to working with them again!

We hired Introspecs to help us reimagine and redesign parts of our home to help make it a more functional, fun and family friendly space. We had lived in our home for 8 years when we were at a crossroads: make our home work for our family of five or move to a new home. We love our neighborhood and seized this opportunity to make our home a better fit for us. Allisen and the whole team at Introspecs took a lot of time and care learning about what our needs were, what our aesthetic sensibility is and how to make our home work for us. They work quickly and efficiently and were able to incorporate our feedback into the design process. They helped us transform the dream we envisioned on our Pinterest boards into a reality. The result is that our home is light and bright, is modern while adhering to the style of our 100 yr old home, full of storage and functional design and just straight up beautiful. We love how everything turned out and are happy to have had the help and vision of Introspecs make it a reality.

My husband and I hired Allisen and Introspecs in the process of working with Olson & Jones to remodel our kitchen. Having never worked with a designer before (or done any kind of renovation), we didn't know what to expect, but now our standards are set very high because of our experience with Allisen and Virginia. They created a just-right, workable re-design of our small-footprint kitchen, one that feels now 6 months after full project completion like it's always been this way. Allisen was masterful and kind as she talked us through the process, answered to our satisfaction each and everyone of our questions about the contract and budget, which was not exceeded at any time, and made meetings both pleasant and productive. Virginia was also a joy -- especially in her sense of color and spirit. She helped me imagine how one of the tile options -- one that I was drawn to but a little out of my comfort zone but wanted very much to use -- could work in a interesting and gently vibrant way without being overly dramatic. Overall, my new kitchen is light, bright, calm and very functional. Every morning, I smile when I enter it.
Without hesitation, we would work again with Allisen and Virginia and recommend them to others. They are polished professionals, good listeners who are also willing to explain their recommendations and adapt to our needs, experienced pros focused on both the big picture and important details/deadlines, and just good people!

Allisen, of Introspecs, was wonderful to work with. It was immediately evident that she is a great listener and designer, and that this project was safe in her capable hands. Both with the client and separately, RBA and Allisen spoke together, at length, about our vision for the spaces and ideas about flow and materiality, etc. Introspecs brought those ideas into fruition, and perfectly melded the interiors of the house with the architecture, ensuring that the design would perfectly fit the needs of the client, and be a house they could be proud of.

We worked with Virginia at Introspecs to remodel our small commercial office space. We truly enjoyed working with Virginia because of her ability to solve design challenges and strong communication skills. We are very happy with the quality of work. Each time that we met, Virginia was well prepared and very professional. Her attention to detail, creativity and willingness to go the extra mile made our project a success! We can’t say enough wonderful things about Virginia at Introspecs! First of all, her level of professionalism is impeccable. Not only has she always been a very clear communicator, but she also has carefully listened to us as we’ve described our preferences and needs for our home. Virginia promptly delivered results to us that were very concrete, with a vision that matched our style exactly. We were so pleased. We made hardly any revisions, as she had a complete handle on what we wanted. It was a relief to my husband and me to have such trust in her decisions, especially for two people who have been paralyzed with indecision over past DIY projects. She is extremely responsive, and has made herself available to us and to our contractor when questions have come up, or when revisions have been necessary. We can’t thank Virginia enough! We would absolutely hire Introspecs for all of our future home improvement projects.

Working with introspecs was a great experience. They did a bedroom design for me and were really responsive and communicative with me throughout the process. I was really impressed with the work and everyone I’ve shown my designs to were also really impressed by the work. I photographed one of Allisens projects. It was a two bathroom and walk-in closet remodel. beautifully done with great attention to detail. Allisen was wonderful to work with and I would for sure recommend her as well as work with her again.

Introspecs got involved at the beginning of this complex remodel of our 1965 ranch home. They started with lighting and electrical diagrams, designed the kitchen helped us find new furniture and flooring then in the end art placement. Basically, Introspecs did the entire interior design - start to finish.
From the start they were well organized, understood how to use technology and have outstanding communication. You need all three to get through a project of this size! In particular - Allisen's positive, uplifting and prompt communication style was a big help when things got stressful.

We really loved working with Allisen and the Introspecs team and plan to continue working with them on any future projects. We did a kitchen/bathroom/closet remodel and addition. It was a big job so it was important to get the right fit. Our contractor referred me to Allisen and I immediately loved her portfolio. Allisen came up with beautiful designs that met with our esthetic as well as working with the overall look and feel of our 1929 Tudor Style House. Her style is fresh. She puts a lot of thought into functionality of a room as well (cabinets, drawers, layout).
What I really appreciated about Allisen was her decisiveness and confidence. She could help answer questions and concerns quickly and thoughtfully upon the first meeting and continued with that throughout the project. She is organized, kept to deadlines efficiently and worked well with our contractors. We are thrilled with the final look and feel and highly recommend her.
