After buying our home and renovating pretty much everything inside, I really needed someone to come in and help furnish/design our new space. I researched many different design companies, and was immediately won over by the clean/minimalistic, contemporary, and serene feel of International Custom Designs' work. Fumiko and Lisa were absolutely amazing to work with! They were very responsive, accommodating, professional, and truly made the entire process easy, pleasant, and FUN! Because I can be picky, they really took the time (and patience!) to sit down with me and look at different styles/colors of artwork to really get a sense of what I like and don't like. I liked them so much that I also used them after to decorate our dental practice (wall decor and updating the waiting room). Could not have asked for a better team and experience!

Fumiko designed our beautiful bathroom remodel. She created a new layout that makes the room feel much more spacious, and the combination of tiles, paint colors, cabinetry finish, and lighting that she designed is absolutely stunning. Fumiko and Lisa are are wonderful to work with--friendly, professional, and willing to work with you on even the most minor detail. My 1400 square foot house in Huntington Beach was built in 1965 and retained many of the original features when I bought it 2001. Needless to say, it was outdated. Zoom to 2016 when I hire Fumiko Faiman to do the interior design of my house. Quite simply, her design was transformative. She reconfigured the layout of my house to give me more space while adding the “niceties” (e.g., innovative lighting, decorative finishes, color coordinated rooms, etc.) to give this house a brand new look! Her design literally increased the useful living space without any modifications to the exterior of the house. Imagine that...more space paired with great looks! More importantly, Fumiko and her daughter Lisa were a joy to work with. It was not only about the creative parts of the project, but the guidance and assistance they provided that helped us through the entire remodeling process. Fumiko and International Custom Designs really made the whole process of remodeling our 3 baths a very positive experience. She managed many aspects of the project for us including working with the contractor and suppliers to ensure the quality of the end product matched her expectations and exceeded ours. Fumiko and Lisa were a pleasure to work with. They were professional and readily available to answer our questions and address concerns. During the construction phase, the general contractor had very few issues because her design was to scale and well vetted. Fumiko’s design incorporated all of our must haves like a larger closet, better lighting and a shower for two. My husband and I were in awe with the material choices, all of high quality. Fumiko also possesses a talent to mix and match different tiles. For example our floor has three types of tiles yet it all works in unison with the shower wall tiles (of a different design) and the cabinetry to create this 5-star resort feel. We also hired Fumiko and Lisa to design our hall cabinet and staircase. Simply put, I feel like I’ve moved into my dream modern home. Thanks for a job well done.

As soon as we looked at Fumiko’s portfolio on houzz.com, we immediately felt a love-connection to her amazing design aesthetics. After retiring as teachers, we moved into an urban style condominium with only a mattress. She created our Irvine dream home which can be viewed on her portfolio (Rockefeller-Irvine). We found Fumiko on Houzz.com and looked through her portfolio of pictures and we loved her taste in furniture, color and design style. Fumiko did an excellent job in finding the right blend and style that met our tastes and created a beautiful home for us. We love the transformation and the overall professional attitude extended to our wishes and concerns. She always tried to stay within our budget and show us all available options. She has a very substantial list of professionals and wholesale design furniture stores (trade only) that we were given access to. We had choices from all the top furniture makers. Many items in our house were custom made and turned out fabulous and in some cases cheaper then what we could have purchased from an upscale furniture store. The custom picture In our dining room made the room! Its so unigue! The overall experience with Fumiko and her staff always made us feel that we were her #1 priority as she would always be looking and demanding the best price possible from her vendors and contractors. Also, loved meeting her in L.A. at the furniture marts. You learn so much about the business. Great job Fumiko! Also, shout out to her wonderful and professional staff including Lisa. Fumiko Faiman, Internation Custom Design, did an exceptional job to transform our home (Living, Dining, Family and Study Rooms) from the mid 20th century design to 21st century's. She has an eye for artistic details, an ear to listen to our vision/inputs, and the patience to answer our questions/concerns thoughout the design construction. She watched our agreed upon budget closely, for example: she re-framed several of our artworks to get them a fresher look and re-used them. The re-framed artworks blend beautifully with the current design. She and her crew are professional and easy to work with. The outcome of this project is far beyond our expectation. We can't wait to save enough mondy for her to work on our next project (i.e., bedrooms/bathroom).

Fumiko is highly knowledgeable and her skills are unsurpassed. Fumiko designed a wonderful master bathroom and bedroom that are not only functional but suits our taste and needs. Highly recommended and looking forward to working with her again!

Did not have much budget, but Fumiko made it. Love her choices on colors, furnitures, and fixtures. She used more than 15 paint colors and magically accommodate our existing furnitures through out the house. Definitely recommend to all my family and friends, and hope to work with her again soon on my master suite.

International Custom Designs designed our living room and assisted with other interior designs throughout our home. They did an excellent job and always provided professional expertise. Our home looks like a model home. Their design process is perfect. We recommended them to our family and friends.

Fumiko is a wonderful talented & very responsible designer. We have an older home that needed to be remodeled. We went with her design consultation for lighting & paint selection. The house now looks "luxurious" and not dated! Her recommendations for light fixtures were very good too. Along the line there were a few issues. Which she & her team responded to promptly. We are so happy with end result.

Fumiko has been really wonderful to work with. My husband and I just purchased our first house and needed a lot of help to make it a home that reflected our styles and tastes. Fumiko was very patient and knowledgeable and worked with our budget to give us a house that we really love. When she first proposed the color scheme for my daughter's bedroom, I was a little hesitant because I thought the colors would be too bright and I wanted something more muted. But I went with Fumiko's suggestion anyway and the room looks GREAT! She is really a professional and knows what she is doing. We had some problems getting the materials we needed but Fumiko was always on top of the situation and kept us informed. We will definitely be using her services again when we remodel the bathrooms.

We found International Custom Design about 6 years ago from the internet when we remodeled our master bath. We started looking for a designer because we could not decide on tile type, color or layout and shopping in a tile showroom was overwhelming with hundreds of choices and patterns. Finding Intl. Custom Design was the best move we made. After the initial meeting, tile samples and colors were brought to us to choose from as well as photos of fixtures (lighting, faucets, cabinets, knobs, etc.). This alone saved so much time for us! Very detail oriented, budget conscious and always available to discuss details with our contractor. We can’t be happier with the end result, it turned out nicer than we could have done on our own. Since then they designed another bathroom for us and just recently the tiling of our foyer. We even ordered window coverings through them! We have recommended Intl. Custom Design to everyone we know who is considering a remodel. Our experience has been great with this company…we highly recommend International Custom Design.
