Hianta's elegant simplicity is positively infectious. She has a keen eye for space, form and colour and will maximise the most exciting potential of any given room. She also has her ear close to the ground for nifty ideas about materials and styles of furniture and fabrics, She carries out her designer role with a calm professionalism which makes it a real pleasure to work with her. She worked creatively with Block & Tackle, the two-man carpentry team carrying out the practical work on my kitchen and I really love the results.

Hianta has advised me on lots of aspects of design in my house, visiting with me right from when it was being built. From kitchen layouts to window treatments, garden planning to our upcoming nursery project, she is always full of interesting ideas and flair, coupled with a sound understanding of the key principles, which she explains well and backs up by sending links so that I can picture what she means. Having also visited her own incredibly beautiful house, I can tell you that fewer people have more style than this lady! Highly recommended.

Hianta from HCC Interiors really understood what I wanted to achieve at my home. With careful consideration she translated my ideas into a workable format but also included some amazing design points that I would never have thought of. This is the first time I have used an Interior Designer and I would definitely use her for any other future project.

We have worked with HCC Interiors on a number of our architectural projects both for clients and also concept projects within the practice. Our work has consisted of research into materials and finishes and their implementation; development of custom designed furniture pieces; space arrangement; and lighting design. Our property required the re-organisation of several of the main rooms and we hired HCC Interiors to advise us. Hianta was happy to undertake just part of the property which she provided detailed plans for, in addition to conceptual ideas for other areas. Hianta has a great spacial awareness and a talent in the skills needed to communicate ideas. Not only in the practical sense but also in her ability to understand a client's needs and way of living. Whilst listening to requirements she will put accross innovative and fresh ideas that are in keeping with the overal brief, yet push the boundaries further. A skill of all good designers. We would have no hesitation in recommending HCC Interiors and are incredibly pleased with the work produced.

We set out to completely gut and renovate a crumbling old Georgian town house in Devon. Hianta came on board right at the start and was instrumental during the planning and concept stage. She started with a major simplification of the layout, which had been divided and subdivided in many previous half-hearted alterations over the years. She then co-project-managed the works with the main contractor, bringing in and organising specialists such as kitchen fitters, stone masons and metal-workers along the way. We are now working on the finishing touches together - final pieces of furniture, accessories and artwork. Her dedication to the project and attention to details have been fantastic. She has proven herself to be incredibly resourceful in finding creative solutions to retain the high-end finish we desired even when our budget had to be tightened. She also seems to have a knack for sourcing the most unusual and wonderful lighting ensuring that our home ended up with some unique and incredibly characterful pieces. The house is now a pleasure to live in. The soul of the house is starting to reveal itself through the careful choice of finishes and the perfectly balanced selection of antique, vintage and modern furniture. We look forward to celebrating the conclusion of our project with HCC Interiors in the coming months and we would definitely recommend Hianta to anyone in need of thoughtful design help/consultancy.

Hianta Cassam Chenai undertook a redesign and planting of my Notting Hill garden. She did a very professional job. I was given a budget which was kept to, different planting schemes and then the execution of the final scheme which I accepted it has worked very well and is flourishing one year later and is much admired. I highly recommend the professionalism of Hianta- and now her company . I was kept informed and it was a pleasure to deal with Hianta.
