With more than seventeen years of experience, her passion is to create and design interiors that exceed clients’ expectations. Kat Czarnecki has proven herself as a fresh and novel designer with her eye for quality, client-centered approach to business and sense of style. She delivers total completion to each aspect of the design by her balance of creativity, dynamic thinking and client collaboration. Kat has led large-scale residential projects and partnered on mid to large-scale commercial projects. During her robust career she has also oversaw complete design development for two custom homes, customizing them each while executing her clients’ goals. She has worked with architectural details and identified custom construction elements. Throughout her career she has also led and partnered on various residential projects of differing scales. Kat’s passion is and has always been interior design. Her work always comes from the heart and she has no other goal than to help her clients’ create an individualized, unique and stylish design while curating to their lifestyle and budget. Kat moved to Smithtown, NY and embraced her skills and spirit by founding Hang Your Heart Design in 2019. Her mission is to help create a lasting design for both residential and commercial spaces. Kat earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Stony Brook University and her Interior Design degree from MID. She is recognized and has been awarded the Best of LI Interior Designer.

I had a wonderful experience working with Kat on design for my first floor renovation. She and her team were responsive, organized, and patient as I made many decisions on furniture, decor, lighting and more. Kat always gave me just the right amount of choices as we worked through each room of the house. I absolutely love how every room came out - colors, textures, styles!

One of the easiest and most enjoyable processes ever! Kat and team are dedicated to your vision, whether it's a minor upgrade or a completely new look. Their eye for details and way to elevate any look is exactly what we needed and what we were looking for when we began working with HYH Design over a year ago! Since then we have worked on numerous projects bringing our 1955 split-level home into the present. They really helped us make a house a home and it truly makes me happy everyday to see our vision brought to reality. Thank you, HYH Design! More to come!

We were contacted by Kat at Hang your heart design to construct and install a mantel shelf for her client. From our first conversation to the day of installation the experience was enjoyable.
