Gretchen did an amazing job helping us update and modernized our kitchen, open it up to the previously formal dining room, and create a less formal, more relaxed yet still sophisticated space. We also re-did the powder room and now feel like it's a hidden gem. She did all this while staying true to the "look and feel" of the rest of the first floor of our 100 year old house. The result was an amazing updated space that blends perfectly with the rest of the house. She is so pleasant, relaxed, and easy to work with. She consistently tried to reflect our tastes and desires, rather than imposing her taste or style. She made what can be a very stressful process easy and fun. I would highly recommend her.

Gretchen Reinheimer, the firm’s namesake, stops, listens, observes, and provides design solutions for every life style a person may be in. Gretchen doesn’t attempt to imprint her own specific design style on a customer like so many other designers. Whether it’s providing creature comforts for a young family in a palatial Northern New Jersey estate or creating ADA accessible living arrangements for an elderly couple downsizing to an apartment in New York—Gretchen is your girl!

Gretchen Reinheimer is the consummate professional. She is creative, knowledgeable and has a vast amount of resources to meet her clients’ needs. Gretchen designed my bathroom into an exquisite modern result. She worked closely with my contractor on every detail — a true perfectionist. She also suggested materials to give my kitchen a “facelift”! The end result - beautiful - my family and friends thought I redid the complete kitchen! In addition, one of Gretchen’s great assets is a good eye for blending old with new furniture to update overall room designs. To sum it up, Gretchen is pleasant, a listener and has the ability to understand your vision for home improvements. Her designs are excellent. My home is beautiful — thanks to Gretchen! She is committed to her clients — truly a gem who I highly recommend.

Gretchen is like a gifted doctor - she can diagnose your problem even before you started to identify your symptoms. This is exactly what she did for me. I invited her into my office because I knew that something was wrong, but I couldn't put a finger on what exactly. She immediately spotted areas of improvement ( colors, desk position, corners) and suggested options that can change the energy of the space and help me feel more organized. Thank you, Dr. Gretchen. I feel so much better!

We selected Gretchen Reinheimer (GR) to assist us in the renovation of our master suite in our home including the master bath, walk-in closet and the master bedroom. GR met with my wife and I and learned our wants and needs for the redesign and our target budget. After we accepted the designer's proposal, GR submitted alternative designs and layouts and met with us to review. GR then proceeded to gather costs to provide a project cost estimate and timetable. Next GR brought in several contractors to provide cost estimate to complete the scope. There was to be no general contractor. It should also be noted, that the contractors were not responsible to provide the major items required such as the tile, vanity and major plumbing pieces. After selecting the lower cost contractor, GR continued to be involved to constantly push the individual contractors to at least attempt to keep the project on schedule. As owners, we had the full responsibility to obtain the necessary building permits required and to schedule the necessary in-progress inspections and the final inspection as appropriate. During the project, GR accompanied us to various vendors to select the necessary major materials to complete the project to our desires and wants. For example, at the tile supplier, GR recommended various alternative tile materials, designs and patterns for our selection and arranged for very competitive pricing for our project. We did encounter one significant snag / complication during the project for the vanity that was ordered. The body of the vanity was delivered but without the vanity's marble top. The delivery of the marble top was delayed from the overseas supplier. After several weeks of excuses and or no activity from the local supplier, GR went forward and found a local marble supplier that could provide a marble top that would match exactly the design of the missing marble top. GR worked directly with that local supplier to fabricate the necessary marble top to the very design of the original. The local supplier delivered and installed the new marble top all while losing only 7 to 10 days to the project schedule. GR took full responsibility for the problem and no added cost were passed on to us the owners. Overall, the project took about 20 weeks to complete versus an original estimate of 10 to 12 weeks. The majority of delays were contractor based. In conclusion, we enjoyed working with Gretchen Reinheimer and would engage GR again for another major renovation project.

There is not a day that goes by that I don't just stop and look at the two rooms Gretechen has helped me put together for at least a dozen times per day. First, just by using what furniture I had already, the rooms were transformed from ordinary to beautiful and comfortable. The first question Gretchen will ask: What do you have here already in the house and we begin by shopping right here at home. I was impressed by her strength as she does not hesitate to pick up and move furniture herself just to see the rooms to begin to come together. By adding proper fabrics and colors for the walls, everything came together perfectly.. She was able to determine my taste and style and worked hard to keep those qualities it in her suggestions. She did not pressure me in any way. Mostly, she is kind and has a positive approach to any decorating challenge .It was a pleasure to work with Gretchen and I would highly recommend her to assist anyone in transforming your living space in to a comfortable, homey place to live. She is a delight and you will not be sorry

Gretchen provided design services for our banquet facility the Fiesta ! I met with several designers and then I met Gretchen. Not only did she make me comfortable but she was very passionate about our project. She helped shape my vision into reality . I really can’t say enough about how wonderful of a person she is to work with. Emails, calls, texts, Gretchen always kept me informed. I will def be using her services in the near future ! This is the second time I have worked with Gretchen on a home. Most recently, she has been totally immersed in a NYC renovation of a six room apartment She is not only creative but very thoughtful in coming up with solutions to difficult problems. This project has included everything from designing bathrooms and a new kitchen to choosing paint colors, fabrics, furniture. And aside from her talent, she has the sunniest disposition.

Gretchen is amazing. She is truly focused on landing your perfect surroundings by taking the time to understand you and the life style you wish to lead. She helped us articulate the style for our dream house and bring it to life. She was the most helpful person within our entire house project . Her knowledge is deep and broad, and informed many aspects of our project.
