Grace Frederick Design

Grace Fredericks’s passion for design started at an early age, learning to appreciate the impact of color, pattern and detail from her mother, also a designer. Her childhood was in many ways a design tutorial—spent in antique stores, flea markets, and rows of fabric bolts. As a child, she remebers loving the smell of wallpaper books and flipping through her mother's old Architectual Digest. A graduate of the Fine Arts program at Auburn University, Grace worked as a design consultant at one of Charleston's top home stores, where she had the opportunity to work with talented local designers. In 2016, Grace started her own design business and has since worked on projects throughout the Lowcountry. Grace draws inspiration from her clients and their homes, integrating a unique mix of modern styles with traditional elements to create a layered look. A lover of the glamorous 60's lifestyle; Grace has evolved her own aesthetic into a timeless take on the work of her idols: Dorothy Draper, Albert Hadley, Carleton Varney, and Slim Aarons. She focuses on creating functional spaces that capture the essence of each client.
