Frances Herrera Interior Design

Frances assisted us with the selection of paint colors and general décor for our new Ft. Lauderdale office space. Her advice was spot on and the office came out beautifully. We could never have envisioned how beautiful it could be without Frances' expert advice and consultation.

To us the most disappointing experience is when someone does a great job once.. and then seems to lose their energy and care once they have you as a repeat client. This happened to us. After killing it with an earlier project, we hired Francis again. We love the "Dayzine" make-over concept which is efficient, creative, and offers good value. NOT this time! The project dragged on.. having to chase her. The budget kept creeping up and up (Hint: make sure you lay out in writing what YOU have to pay for her quotes are NOT "turn-key"). AND ultimately she was really not present in the design and execution phases. Worst of all.. when the project was still not done... we just had to cut our losses and ask for refund for the unfinished work. This was just a kid's bedroom... not a major design overhall and we were underwhelmed throughout the process. Giving her the benefit of a doubt we did bring our concerns to her attention and offer her a chance to win back a regular client. Her answer.. was dismissive and unsympathetic: She texted us: "The room does look great and I think I achieved your goals on budget. .. I appreciate your candidness.. " Sounds to us like she doesn't need or care about repeat business .. which is good because we can no longer recommend her. Very disappointing.

We were very happy with the work Frances did for us . We contracted her to put the finishing touches on our family room, living room, dining room, and master bedroom. We had worked with a decorator when we first moved into our house about 3 years ago, but the job never felt finished. Frances was really able to nail down our style - even better than I could have myself. Everything she picked- from paint colors and wall coverings to decorative accents and artwork, really tied the house all together. We had been looking for art work for one very tall wall for 3 years with no success. She was able to find just the perfect art- just exactly what I wanted. I used to feel like my home had almost a sterile look to it- it just did not match our fun and more colorful lifestyle. Now I feel such a sense of warmth when I come in, everything she added make it seem so much more welcoming. Frances was always on time, always easily reached. She put in plenty of personal time- i've worked with other companies that just contract out and you are waiting for strangers in your house. Nice that she was always there when work was being done. She has a great eye and great style. Looking forward to working with her again for future projects.

Frances Herrera made my home look like a showplace! The renovation included all new furniture for a 3 bedroom condo, as well as new flooring, countertops and paint. Frances is a true professional and great to work with. She took all my goals, ideas and preferences into account in designing a home that was better than I could have expected! I found Frances while looking through a design magazine. I was immediately drawn to her style. I had used 2 different designers prior to Frances who didn't get what I was looking for and so my house was left unfinished, decorating wise, for 2 years. With high hopes I walked Frances around my home showing her all the areas that we needed to complete whether with lighting fixtures, art, accessories, a piece of furniture... I knew these areas needed something, but couldn't figure out what would fit. I also needed her to make all the rooms flow, style wise. I had a couple different styles going on. Frances came in and figured it all out. I am thrilled at how my home came out. She gave my home a classic, contemporary looks that is both comfortable and beautiful. My family and I love it!! I highly recommend Frances. She will definitely be my first call next time I am in need of a designer!

Frances is AMAZING I'M so happy with the way my condo went from Boring to chic and exciting very pretty and so comfy she listens to you and matches your style to the comfort of your home, she goes above and beyond and meets the dateline, I was stressing out because of Thanksgiving and having family and friends over can be so critical of your Place ... it does represent who you are.... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER !!!!!! She also did my office and it also looks so chic..... looks like the delano hotel and I LOVE IT..............

After recently remodeling our kitchen we felt it was time to redo the rest of our home and create a new environment. I found Frances Herrera online and was immediately drawn to the aesthetic of her website as well as the pictures in the gallery. We had a very specific vision which Frances was able to bring to life through collaborative meetings and pictures of inspiration we provided. While we did run into some minor issues with delivery and installation timelines, the outcome of the project was simply stunning. Frances transformed our master bedroom into an oasis. She was able to take our family room, entryway and bathrooms and blend them to the style of our kitchen which is the heart of our home and inspiration. Everyday when we walk into our home or bedroom we are taken back by the beauty and fresh new feel. Frances certainly has an eye for style and her taste is flawless. One of my greatest successes as a professional with a 30 year plus career is knowing how to select the right person for a specific job and then get out of their way so they can work their magic. This is exactly what happened when I selected Frances. After reviewing several designers' websites I discovered Frances's webpage and knew this was the right designer for my home. She is a professional with a keen eye for details and a proven record of success Her work exceeded my expectations and I found her very easy to work with. I recently stayed at the Mandarin Oriental in Vegas and feel that this is the same living environment I get to come home to everyday -- peaceful, great enery flow and very comfortable!

We hired Frances Herrera for the interior design of our living, dining, and powder room; also, the foyer, staircase, and hallway. We just received our installation last week, and our house has been miraculously transformed! We finally feel "at home." Frances was professional and courteous, she worked within our design budget, and delivered on time. Her personality was always courteous and pleasant and she is not at all pushy. She is extremely organized and presents the entire project simultaneously--there are no surprises. She literally took care of everything from furniture to accessories to window treatments. She was able to integrate artwork I already owned. We just signed a contract with Frances for the second phase of our home: master bedrom, bath, and home office. We intend to use Frances for our entire home. I only wish I had found her earlier. We bulit a home in a new development and made the mistake of hiring a "friend" for our color selection process (choosing the materials provided by bulider), as well as the interior design. When we hired Frances, we needed someone who could fix the previous "deigner's" disaster. There were times we thought that our home was ruined and that it could not be remedied. Frances assured us she could do it and she did. You have to see the before and after pics of our space to truly grasp just what Frances achieved. I highly recommend this professional and look forward to an ongoing relationship with her including: completing my home, perhaps updating it in the future, and for any future new homes we might purchase. I have already been asked to share her name with friends who have seen my home since the transformation and I am so happy to recommend Frances!

I am so lucky to have connected with Frances Herrera to help me with my home design project. I called her after reading about her talent and expertise in a Miami Herald article on changing the look of your home. I am a recent first time condo buyer and was desperate to make the place my home. I needed big renovations so my spending budget was limited. Her Day Zine package morphed into a wonderful collaborative design project that got me what I was looking for. She took the time to know me, come over, make me fill out a questionnaire and start an idea book. This helped her suggest rooms and decor that reflected my personality. She knew I was cost cautious and worked well in my perimeters in focusing on the most important pieces. I am thrilled with the results. She is talented and a wonderful person to work with.
