Floriana Interiors

Floriana helped our school renovation. She is very easy to work with and she really listens what I wish to have and my concenrs as well. She provided several options on choosing design and walker through with me to help to decide the best deisgn for look and the practical aspect.

I am a painting contractor that works primarily in San Francisco. Floriana and I recently worked together on a multi-color school setting. Floriana put together a fun color scheme, mindful of the clients desires to have a stimulating setting in certain areas (break room, etc) and neutral color schemes in the class rooms, to promote focus. I believe she also assisted in furnishing selections, which really helped bring a cohesive modernized look to a formerly dated space. Floriana loves what she does and is fun to work with.

I recently moved to San Francisco and quickly found myself in need of an interior designer. A colleague recommended Floriana who's interesting experience, impeccable eye, and genuine charm quickly won me over. Her taste reflects a classic San Franciscan style with a European accent. She not only made my house a home, but filled it with locally crafted furniture and goods, beautiful colors, and found the perfect combination of modern and old to match my personal taste. I recommend her to anyone in need of an interior designer!

Floriana helped me with the interiors for a new ground floor apartment in my home. I have been following Floriana’s design work for years. I appreciate the way she introduces art, antiques, and unusual objects into the environments she creates. I knew she would be the perfect designer to transform a long narrow laundry room into a cozy sitting area and kitchen, and my son’s childhood-bedroom room into a sophisticated bedroom suite for adults! Space was tight, windows were small, and we had a 3’ foundation “shelf” running the length of the rooms we had to deal with. Floriana came up with wonderfully creative solutions for each of these challenges, and the project came in on budget. Floriana used the existing black and white floor tiles, and art and objects from my collections to envision a Parisian feel for the sitting area, kitchen and hall. New transom windows, glass paneled doors, mirrors, and a luminous ivory color for the walls gave us a lot more light! She had a brilliant plan for the bedroom. She set a queen sized bed on top of the 3’foundation shelf, which opened up enough space to create a sitting area within the room and a wonderful little bath. I will engage Floriana for all my projects in the future. She is simply amazing. Her taste is superb; she has wonderful resources, and access to reliable craftsmen and women to execute her ideas! I could not recommend her work more highly.

Floriana Petersen worked with my partner and me to remodel and design a bathroom and walk-in closet, the result is that our bathroom is being featured in the "best 150 bathrooms" edition. We found the partnership with Floriana to exceed our expectations. In brief, she began wtih a subjective and objective analysis of the spaces and how they were to be used. She imagined how they could function in a way which best suited our wishes. Floriana put our lifestyle and aesthetic foremost into the picture and developed design proposals for all aspects. She even surprised us with ideas we would not have imagined, such as seating with storage beneath. Her familiarity with a wide variety of vendors allowed us to choose the right materials - most usually the one she considered first! Ultimately, both the bathroom and the closet were transformed insp spaces that are not only beautiful and functional but which also appeal to us on a more visceral level. We are working with her again now on the redesign of our kitchen. We highly recommend her for any interior design project!

Floriana was a very confident, reliable and innovative designer on a project she helped me with setting up a new Studio from the ground up in our home. She was easy to reach and gave me some much needed direction for the project. Floriana also has superb taste and I feel her European influence shines through in a refreshing way.

Floriana was called in by a friend to help with our exterior painting on our 1880 Victorian home. She was so incredibly helpful & calm, she expertly guided me through the entire process. She was easily able to understand my likes and offered her knowledgeable opinions which were always spot on! She made a daunting task very manageable. We loved her work with the exterior so much we hired her to help us spruce up our interior, which looks so great now! Floriana has great style and is very good at assessing your personal taste and leading you to find the ideal looks for each room of your home. I would passionately recommend Floriana for any job, big or small.

Loved working with this designer. She was full of ideas and was a great help redecorating my store . Her sense of color was excellent , no need to try a lot of different hues. Floriana 's vision got easy executed, without going over budget! She has an abundance of knowledge and thinks very practical , too Already looking forward to my next project with her!

About 3 years ago i moved to a new loft in Venice Beach. The task seemed daunting. What Floriana did pretty much took the worry out of my hands. I immediately had the trust in her ideas. Her expertise helped me decide on how to furnish this large new place, by adding some new pieces, coordinating colors, fabrics. I also have a patio which she made into a very special place. She also took my existing art collection and added to it greatly with her fresh, wonderful ideas. It was a delightful experience!

Floriana did an exemplary job of taking the interior a funky old house and making it look modern and sleek by using well-chosen furniture and accessories, many of which were "found" objects. As a result, the whole house seemed lighter and happier. I would definitely use her again.

Florianna did an excellent job of understanding my vision for our living room and dining room remodel.mshe came to,the house and listened to our ideas dof what we wanted to do. For our discussion she was able to draw up our plan and make the vision become a reality. We had a new fireplace installed and her suggestions of places to look and and order the stacked stone for it were super. The hearth has a beautiful piece of limestone from a great place that she recommended I go to. It was such a good experience working with her. The bookshelves and TV unit that frame the fireplace are just lovely and exactly what we wanted. Her measurements and thoughtful planning of every detail helped to make the cabinet work look beautiful. She helped me decide on colors for the walls. She did. Ot overwhelm me with choices but gave me enough choices so the process was pleasant. She was looking in a barn for some wood for a project and she found one she thought would go nicely with the fireplace.it turned out beautiful and is quite the topic of conversation. Florianna was so accessible and easy to talk with. She would get back to me quickly when I had a request or question. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a sensitive and creative designer.
