From her studio in Leicestershire Emma Clanfield designs individual homes, holiday cottages and boutique hotels across the UK combining her love of colour and pattern with practicality and style.
Emma Clanfield Interiors was launched in Aberdeenshire in 2007 by Emma Clanfield where she built up a strong customer base in the local area and throughout Scotland with many new projects coming through repeat business or referral. In addition to her private clients Emma is kept busy creating the interiors of unique heritage holiday properties for Scottish Canals. Recently relocated to the East Midlands Emma is looking forward to further developing the holiday cottage and boutique hotel side of her business.

Emma came to my house in November 2015 to advise me on a number of things.
Firstly, how to make my kitchen / sitting area 'work' better. She confirmed my idea of getting rid of the TV and moving furniture round which I did and which has improved the room no end. Secondly she suggested ways to increase the size of the master bedroom wardrobe and to change the access to the loft from the bedroom. Thirdly, she was able to suggest colours and a style for the bedroom (even when I wasn't sure what I wanted!) which I really like. Her research is very thorough.
Emma is professional, friendly, calm, very easy to work with and I trust her judgement for colours and styles.

Thanks to Emma’s creativity and lovely fresh ideas we now have two beautifully transformed bedrooms and a calm, elegant and inviting hallway. Emma has a great sense of colour and of what works well together. She carefully created schemes largely based around our treasured paintings and we were totally enthused by all her suggestions. The whole process was both pleasurable and made easy due to Emma’s careful attention to detail, timeliness and friendly and encouraging approach. Emma was invaluable in breathing new life into our dated rooms and we would not hesitate to enlist her help for any future projects.

Emma was v flexible working around my house move. She visited me on a Sunday and quickly provided mood boards for my new home. These boards captured our preferences perfectly even though Emma had not spent too much time on them. I would say right level of attention to detail st a very reasonable price.
Emma accepted our decisions even if they differed from her recommends tons. She has excellent knowledge of availability of fabrics she great ideas for furnishing a room to bring it together.
Her relationship with suppliers means her overall costs are reduced.
After completing the main project Emma continues to support me providing me with ideas for accessories. (Cushions and lamps ) and she always meets deadlines.
Once I made a mistake on fabric choice and Emma created an alternative which meant my cost was minimised.
Emails always courteous. I really can't recommend her highly enough.

When we moved into our new house we enlisted Emma's help to decorate 2 rooms. We were impressed with her understanding of what we wanted, and her ability to come up with plans for the rooms, as well as her patience when we changed our mind or took a while to find the perfect item. She has now helped with sourcing furniture, lighting, curtains, cushions, wall coverings & decoration for 5 rooms & a hall/stairway, and coordinated the gathering of quotes for workmen & supervision of the project - making our lives very easy! In one room she enlisted furniture makers to complete a full wall of wooden panelling around a new fireplace, which we would just never have done ourselves! We would highly recommend working with Emma!

Emma was so great to work with. I was quite nervous opening my home up to a professional but she saw positives in everything that was already here and that made me relax and enjoy the process. She managed to draw our very eclectic and mixed pieces of furniture together with what we thought were beautiful themes - they suited us perfectly. It was the first time in a year that I hadn't moved furniture or repainted because she just tied it all together so beautifully. She's a joy to work with, listens, has some fabulous ideas and was so accommodating. We love our little place, the fabrics are beautiful and our old recovered ercols' look great with mixed patterns. If you're in doubt, or a bit nervous about the process, I'd recommend giving Emma a call. She's the consummate professional.
