Emmy is fantastic! She is very responsive, really takes time to know the space. I was remodeling a basement and needed some sparks of inspiration, she was great at giving suggestions. Emmy was able to take my screenshot ideas and blend them into a cohesive plan. Her suggested furnishings were great, she has lots of contacts in Portland and found me the perfect custom couch. I would absolutely recommend her design services.

The design Emmy made for our family/dining room feel so completely me that it really feels like what I would have designed myself... if I had the capacity for reimagining new spaces, the understanding of balance and design, and tactical knowledge for implementing designs and the right vendors to go to, that Emmy has. Sad for me, none of these are my strong suit. But not as sad now that we worked with Emmy and made a super beautiful space that my whole family and I love spending time in! Emmy listened really well to what we were looking for, and she provided great options for a range of approaches, budget wise (e.g., some options that included small contracting projects, or lower-cost options that focused more on furniture swapping, beautiful finishes, rearranging the layout, etc.). She also encouraged the bold wallpaper and bright colors I loved, balancing them with cohesive elements that tie everything together. She's also really enjoyable to work with - very professional and communicative... but we also laughed a lot! I hope to get another opportunity work with Emmy and I recommend her to anyone else considering doing a project with her!

From the very beginning, Emmy was a pleasure to work with. She took the time to listen to my needs and preferences, and she was able to incorporate my personal style into her design ideas. She helped me choose the perfect color scheme, furniture pieces, and accessories and everything came together to make a creative, cohesive and inviting space! Functionality was also a top priority for me, as my living room and family room also function as my home’s front entry. Emmy made sure that there was plenty of seating for everyone, and she even found places for hidden storage to keep the space clutter-free. Emilia Decor designed a multi-use room for us and I could not have been happier with the outcome! The room is part office, part tv room and her design is both beautiful and functional. Most of all, she was great to work with. It was easy to schedule, she worked with my schedule, and took care of the whole process from beginning to finish.

If I could give her 10 stars I would! I have always struggled to make design choices for my home, but Emilia has helped me identify my style and turn blah spaces into a home that reflects me. She is truly magical at bringing color, texture and functionality together to create beautiful, unique spaces. Highly, highly recommend!

I worked with Emilia in decorating my apartment and home office. Her patience, willingness to understand my preferences and her creativity make her suuuuch a pleasure to work with. She has an eye for the most beautiful details here and there...things I would NEVER think of but that I LOVE! The fact that she also works to incorporate sustainable and fair trade pieces is a real plus! It's nice to see someone put those things as a priority in their business. I highly, hiiiighly recommend working with her as your space will be beautiful and you'll have a lovely experience along the way!

I worked with Emmy to redesign a beige bedroom and a beige basement into a library, a workout room and an office. The good: Her design skills are great. She had an idea for a wooden feature wall, and for a bright happy and forested pattern in the basement that really vibed with me. For the library she designed beautiful built-ins to hold all my books and found local hardwood. The bad: Emmy suffers from poor project management, attention to detail and finishing her projects: - The handywoman building the feature wall did not have accurate to scale models of the wall she was building, nor was she told where the outlets went. - The painter was surprised we were painting before the new floors were put in. - None of the designs made considerations for lighting or window treatments and that had to be expanded upon. - The flooring arrived unfinished (and in short supply) and separate plans had to be made to sand and stain them. - The desk she ordered for the library was far too big for the space and ice been trying to sell it for months. Emmy made anemic gestures to help that just wasted my time and went nowhere. It took more than a year for the work to be completed. When it was ready to be completed (final touches done, paintings hung, flow finalized) Emmy scheduled a date with a stylist and a photographer. But this work was solely so she could submit photos to magazines and further her portfolio, despite her assurances she would spend time to finalize it for my liking in the long haul. She left my basement and library in complete disarray, with new holes in the wall, furniture and books to be moved back by me, only four paintings out of 12 hung, and no plan for finishing anything. Very disappointed with how this project has proceeded. If you enlist Emmy for a project for her superior design sense, please find someone else to work as project manager and supervisor.

As a furniture designer/fabricator I’ve had the good fortune to work with Emmy on several projects. Clean, modern good taste defines her style but she isn’t afraid to step out and try something unexpected… and in my experience it has always worked. On top of being a very talented designer, she’s extremely conscientious and an all-around pleasure to work with. I look forward to collaborating with her again!

I started talking with Emilia years before our move and was SO excited to have found her. To me, her philosophy and ideas and styles were so creative and interesting. When it came time to finally plan our move I flew into town (very pregnant!) to meet with her and discuss our vision for our projects and come up with a plan. That meeting went well I thought, and I appreciated the time she took to meet with me- but when it came time to actually get bids for our project I paid for her to do a walk through with a construction company and I got no bid, and nothing from the service that helped me- I had been clear that if what we originally wanted to do wasn’t within our budget there were other things we needed to get done and requested quotes on those instead. We ended up with no quotes, no estimates and no plan to move forward. I don’t mind paying for someone’s time but to I still reflect on feeling that I might as well have thrown that money to the wind. I think she really wants to work with clients who can spend hundreds of thousands of dollars (not the 60k -ish we had in mind). In that way I felt that the business was mis-represented- as she talks a lot about empowering women and also, working creatively with budget to find creative solutions.

I truly enjoyed my experience working with Emmy from Emilia Decor! I had just moved into a new home and was looking for some help to finish and personalize the main areas. Emmy was able to translate my style and personality into my home and created a space that I love. She guided me to choices that I definitely would not have considered on my own but that really make the difference. She was mindful of my budget when presenting options which I really appreciated. I look forward to tackling additional projects with her soon.

Emmy is amazing. She took an empty basement and turned it into a beautiful office workspace for a private practice. She brought vision and style, but knew how to find it on a budget so the project stayed manageable. Easy to work with, it was done on time, and the place looks awesome. Highly recommend Emmy!

Emmy at Emilia Decor was a great listener and a crucial part of my project and design of my kitchen/dining room remodel. There were certain situations where I looked for guidance and followed the design that was recommended. Also, I deferred to the designer for choices on materials, color and overall style and was really happy with the end result! Basically, with working with this designer, I was able to get a kitchen the way I wanted it, yet with professionally designed advice guiding me in the right direction! I recommend Emilia Decor.

I hired Emmy to help design my new home. The home was a fixer upper and needed a lot of help! With her magic touch, she chose lovely paint colors for my walls and offered a beautiful design plan with furniture, rugs, and lighting options. Without her help I would have been completely lost and overwhelmed. Now my home feels like the beautiful, peaceful sanctuary of my dreams. I even hired her a second time to help me design my Airbnb, which was even more fun! Emmy is a professional and inspirational visionary who makes the design process feel collaborative and satisfying. I give Emilia five stars because not only did she create a nice plan for my living, dining, and family rooms, but worked with me making sure that all of the individual buying decisions stayed in conformity with the big picture. I was very pleased with the final results and am continually getting compliments.

Emmy and her team took a space with some quirks (like masking a door that leads to nowhere) and turned it into an almost seamless work oasis. I love being in my office. It is now a place I love to be and my clients love it too. When I wasn't pleased with something Emmy was sure to listen and make it right. Overall it was a fun, easy experience.

I live in Arizona and discovered Emilia’s interior designs on Instagram. I immediately loved her style! I reached out to her and asked if she’d consider giving me an idea on paint color selection for one of my bedrooms. She responded right away. She asked me in-depth questions pertaining to what I was looking for as a final decorating feel for the room. Her suggestions for the color were creative, insightful, pleasantly surprising, and perfect for the design I was going for! I would definitely recommend Emilia for any interior design project. We hired Emmy to “Adult” our master bedroom and are 100% ecstatic with the outcome. Her design aesthetic, communication and budget-minded process helped us to define our style and goals for our room. We touched every part of our bedroom, from painting, wallpaper, furniture, lighting - she created a one-of-a-kind bedroom retreat for us. She is totally creative in upcycling furniture and giving it a new life and function. She was very patient with us as we struggled in the beginning to define and blend our two styles. I hired Emmy as our interior decorator for our bar "Barrio" which was part of a brand new concept with the Portland Mercado. She gave an excellent presentation based on an agreed upon concept that included design, graphics, color, furniture and overall environment. I couldn't have been more pleased with the entire process beginning with this presentation to the actual execution. She rolled up her sleeves and painted the entire space, helped source furniture and she added accessories, added her invaluable insight on flow and layout of the bar. We consulted with Emmy to redesign and redecorate our early 1900's apartment. Emmy came to our humble home excited to help us even within the constrains of a rental. The first time we got together we met for over an hour chatting and discussing our style and ideas for improving the space. Emmy then sent us a bid with different choices for her level of support. We chose the plan that best fit our budget, which included Emmy coming back for a second meeting at our home with a custom made style book with ideas and plans for each "room" in the house. Afterwards she sent us a list of all of the items with links for DIY and where we could purchase the items. As we move forward with our plan, Emmy has made it clear that we are welcome to ask questions and she is excited to see our plan put into action this summer. I was fortunate enough to consult with Emilia Decor while planning my home staging for an upcoming open house. She generously provided feedback to me and evaluated my plan for the home. Unfortunately I had committed prior to our conversation and was unable to hire her at that time. Emmy was contracted to design the Youth Playroom at our shelter. In creating the plan; she was intentional about understanding the function of the space as well as our vision for it. When we were unclear about our vision; she worked to give suggestions of directions we could go in. She worked within our budget to find pieces that were functional yet aesthetically pleasing.
