We are very happy with the results we attained by having Deborah design our kitchen make-over. She brought to the table her imagination, her knowledge of structure and materials, her professionalism and her ability to recommend dependable trades people, From start to finish the project was on time and on budget. No delays, no excuses, no surprises. All of this and quality workmanship included. Working with Deborah and everyone she recommended was pure delight. How many can say that about a home project.

Debbie was instrumental in getting us off to a great start for our very major kitchen renovation.With design and layout she showed great attention to detail.She always had answers(and we had lots of questions) and very helpful hints and how to's during the whole project.I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great designer who knows her stuff.

My husband and I hired Debbie from Dwelling on Design to make our new floor plans for our kitchen- as well as basement (it was completely unfinished). Our kitchen was outdated and we wanted a better flow for upstairs- link with our dining room and living room- bringing more light. I love to cook and entertain. we also have 2 young children so it was important to take their needs in consideration. We wanted a clean, fresh look contemporary with a traditionnal touch to fit with the rest of the home. We have been living for 8 years in the house and I have been thinking A LOT about our new kitchen- looking at pictures on HOUZZ.com, TV shows etc Debbie came to us with a floor plan I never thought of- using the whole space- making more storage and couter space than before without making the kitchen bigger. I had my ideas- and she came her touch and suggestions, never pushing her ideas- but working with mine- simply bringing them to another level. she has an excellent team of contractors she works with- well organized, clean the space. We also went away on vacation for a week and she managed the project during our absence, buying missing piece on our behalf etc. We basically removed everyting form previous kitchen and start from scratch. We bought the material- but she gave her input. She was involved from the beginning to the end of the project- making sure everything went smoothly and dealing with contractors, counter company etc- from our point of view- nothing went wrrng in the project that lasted 2 months (including basement). She also gave us great advice on how to arrange our furniture in dining room and living room and decoration tips- we are really happy with the service that was provided and would highly recommend her to anyone!

I was so happy with the service rendered. Debbie speaks the design language. She understands, she is smart, sharp, honest and very productive. Totally professional and a perfect combo of art, structure and design. I felt she truly worked for me and my satisfaction, not for her. I love her style too! Fresh, upbeat and fast!

I hired Debbie to give the interior of my Outremont condo a facelift -- which entailed everything from choosing fresh paint colours for every room, installing additional lighting fixtures and blinds, and completely redoing the kitchen. I couldn't be happier with the result. Debbie's eye for detail immediately zoomed in on unique characteristics in the architecture of my condo that I had never noticed before, and found ways to highlight, enhance, and extend them throughout the place while keeping my own tastes in mind. My kitchen is now a masterpiece that invites people in with its charm, warmth, and functionality, and I find myself enjoying and using every room in the house more thoroughly than before. Through it all, Debbie was a joy to work with: she made the project fun, stayed within the budget I gave her, and always went the extra mile to ensure everything was to my satisfaction. I definitely recommend her as a designer.

We selected Deborah after interviewing two other candidates because she seemed to be the one best able to align her recommendations with our tastes, and that she was the most flexible in how we could use her help on the job (from design plans all the way to materials sourcing and overseeing the entire project – which is what we ended up hiring her for as we grew comfortable working with her). Our project was for a major house renovation covering 4 bathrooms, a kitchen, a large basement rec-room and overall general décor, including some furniture and art arrangement. Deborah was quickly able to demonstrate that she understood our tastes, and her recommendations rarely contained any options that we didn’t like on some level. Considering the size of the project and the potential range of options, we found her particularly valuable in paring down the choices to a small group of good recommendations. It is hard to overstate the importance of this, as we were not always sure and clear as to what we envisioned. She was nonetheless able to take our ideas, build upon them, and bring them to life. Deborah also assisted us in choosing and engaging the various contractors we needed, and it is here that was especially helpful; because of her involvement with the design process, she was able properly communicate our decisions to the contractors and follow up to ensure the work was done well. This prevented work delays and really helped keep the work running smoothly. When an installation issue was uncovered involving the kitchen cabinetry, she was able to resolve it with the supplier (who was one of her recommendations, and had no issue in correcting the problem). She also was able to use her supplier discounts to get good prices on building materials. Given the scale of the job this saved us a lot of money, and overall she very helpful in keeping the total project within our renovation budget. We have, without reservation, recommended her to our friends, and look forward to engaging her again for other projects.

Deborah was very prompt in responding to my needs and enquiries, she was always ready to meet when necessary to give her advice regarding design when I was looking for locations for my store, Maison Fusion. She gave several options taking into consideration the balance between functionality and appearance.

I would give Dwelling On Design (Debbie) the highest recommendation. Debbie showed the highest level of professionism. It has been very easy to work with her and she opened our eyes to many ideas and solutions to problems that we would not thave thought about. Debbie also helped me select my furniture, carpets, lamps, etc.. which helped us save a lot of money and time. It was a pleasure working with Debbie at Dwelling on Design. We purchased an older home and wanted to add some interesting aspects and touches to add some modern feel to fixtures, furniture and window dressings. Her input and guidance was invaluable in helping us achieve our goals.

Dwelling on Design completely remodeled our kitchen and main entrance including hallways. Our traditional looking 1952 home was transformed to an open concept modern home. Walls, beams and drop downs bulkheads were removed opening spaces. A new kitchen layout with a large island was introduced. colors, window treatments, lighting, electrical, flooring, doors were all part of the project, including the coordination of appliances. The final results are incredible. In addition, information Dwelling Design provided related to budgets, scheduling, products and quality manufactures as well contractors was accurate and made this project a success. I have hired dwelling on design for several upgrading projects in my home. Each time , Mrs. Derocher was able to provide designs that really reflected my taste and the feeling I was trying to create by simply sitting down with me. My home is a small cottage with some dated features. I wanted to add a contemporary feel to it without losing the charm of the house. Thus far . I have completed 2 bedrooms,my main entrance and hallway, added lighting and an island to my kitchen, reconfigured my backyard garden and my front porch. I also appreciate the attention to detail and the professionalism applied to each project as well as regular updates with adjustments if needed. Basically there is an enthusiasm and creativity brought to each project which is one of the reasons for this company's success and why I have recommended Dwelling on Design time and time again.

I am a Real Estate Developer and used the services of Deborah to redo our 3 lobbies, common areas (12 hallways) and our two Model Condos. I made an excellent decision. We got many WOW’s when new buyers came to visit our Condo Project. She is great to work with...easy to talk to and is a good listener. Deborah had a lot of creative ideas and used the surrounding scenery to come up with nice colour combinations and design options. I also realized that she has a construction background and very knowledgeable in that field, so she was keeping an eye on the contractors to make sure they are doing the right job and to limit any delays.
