Eric is a serious professional. He loves what he does and that shows both in the quality of the work as well as the way it feels to work with him. We had a tricky task, turn a jack-n-jill bathroom into two kids bathrooms AND a closet. He tried many different solutions and wouldn't give up until we had it right. His creativity and design sense gave us a beautiful outcome that looks like the rooms were original to the house. He also worked closely with our contractor to make sure no detail was overlooked. He cares about his work and is a delight to work with. I would recommend him to anyone on any project...he's the best!

I loved working with Eric. He’s been so patient working around my busy schedule. He is always quick to respond and is happy and willing to help with all my design needs. He has such an amazing sense of style and design. He’s helped me create a space that my family of 6 can come together and feel connected. He also makes sure that my style and personality reflect in the design. I loved that he showed me 3D renderings of my space. That was so helpful. Eric has a great personality and has become a great friend in this process. I hope to continue working working with him. I highly recommend Eric for any of your design needs.

Earlier this year, i was looking for a interior decorator/designer to help with my home renovation. I found DTLA design on houzz and based on the reviews of past clients, i contacted them and talked to eric about my project. Eric, was very professional and had very valuable input. I tend to be scatterbrained or have grandiose ideas that did not fit my house type or overall design feel. Eric, kept me in the right direction while offering great design choices. My house after many long hours spent choosing fabrics, wall paper, paint color choices, came out magazine worthy. besides the contractor a huge part of the success was Eric's excellent choices and putting up with us during the summer i might add, made it what it is now. I would highly recommend his company, very patient, didnt try to force anything, and he has great knowledge of the shops, tradespeople, manufacturers, that would make any project big or small be excellent. he always tried his best to meet me even with my crazy schedule. His pricing was also very reasonable to the level of work and skill he provided. I would hire him again for my next project. My home is a transitional/modern.

New Venue

We have now worked with Eric at DTLA Design on numerous projects throughout our house. He has helped us transform our home from a typical, OC tract home into something far more interesting, usable, and personally satisfying. We cherish having people over, and love our environment so much, we tend to stay in for more often. In addition, we have referred Eric to friends, who have worked with him on several projects, and in turn referred him to other family and friends. I've been in various creative service industries my entire life, and value someone who not only has a good sense of style and knowledge of design, but couples that with a strong work ethic and sincere passion. I definitely give Eric at DTLA Design my highest recommendation.

Working with DTLA Design has been a great experience! Eric's design process was very effective and we were amazed at how beautifully everything came together. We love all of the furniture, wallpaper, drapery and flooring he picked out for our new 6,500 square foot home. He has great ideas and in particular came up with a creative tile pattern to seamlessly integrate the existing tile with new tile in an area where the flooring needed repair - saving us thousands. DTLA’s installers and fabricators were also amazing to work with – very professional, personable and detail oriented. We love how our home looks and it was a lot of fun working with DTLA Design. We will be using them again on future projects and highly recommend them.

Not only is Eric very knowledgeable of current design trends, he always comes up with ideas that are completely original and reflect our own personal style. He designed custom furniture pieces, window treatments, architectural details, and is exceptionally proficient in lighting design - creating some really cool effects throughout our home. Image + Sound

Working on a project w/ DTLA Design was such a pleasure! We were instantly impressed with the direction Eric was taking a completely gutted remodel when we met on site as he was showing the client his choices of modern, earthy tiles. Watching the weekly updates with all the unique and breathtaking textiles, textures, fixtures and appliances get installed was so exciting. Besides transforming a 3-bedroom Manhattan Beach home into a complete upscale, to-die-for, modern, urban gem, Eric and his team were so helpful and pleasantly refreshing to work with. I should also mention, the owners of the home were beyond pleased with the results! We highly recommend DTLA Design for your next big project!

Prime Hardwood Floors of Los Angeles

Eric Lehwald of DTLA Design was a pleasure to work with. We installed new floors and finished them to match existing floors. This guy knows design and executes them well. We are instant fans of his work as it is truly remarkable what he comes up with. He listens to the client's wants and needs and translates to a beautiful design. We certainly can't wait to see what's in store for the next project!!

Eric Lehwald of DTLA Design did an excellent job helping us design our kitchen, bedroom and office. My husband found him in a search for mid century modern and rough lux design. He replied and was excited to work on our project. He and my husband made a great team. We created an eclectic style that is unique to our tastes. Eric is creative, detailed and has great style ideas. We live in OC, but he was able to drive from LA to work on our remodel. We are very happy with his service and have recommended him to friends already.

Eric is simply amazing! We hired him to do our very modern home and couldn't have picked someone better! He was EXTREMELY helpful, always went with us to pick out everything from furniture, window coverings, wallpapers and other final touches. The house looks and feels a million times better. Eric was excellent at helping design my home. he was great at configuring all the furniture from sizing to finding the perfect spot. He has this special computer program that creates a 3d image of each room, thats helps to picture it all perfectly. His decorating tips were really good, he was able to pick the perfect wallpaper design for each room and help coordinate colors and materials. He has a a great eye for design and lots of ideas that i wouldn't have even thought about. Im so happy with my home and how it looks and I'm very grateful to eric for helping making my home my zen. thank you eric!! i will defo recommend you to all my friends and family.
