As designers working in contemporary India, we take our cues from a host of aesthetic influences to create an indigenous modernism that is globally inflected while comfortably inhabiting India’s rich tradition of ornament. DeMuro Das stands for design that is rigorous in detail, impeccable in execution and, above all, beautiful. The same principles have informed our process for more than a decade, whether applied to the design of a single wingback chair or to an entire home. Every design begins with a concept that we elaborate and refine through material studies and prototypes. Our hands-on approach continues through the production process, which we oversee in its entirety, and into installation, giving us a unique ability to produce truly unique, integrated living environments. Each of these capacities – in development, production and design – is central to our mission, process and philosophy.
