David Kent Richardson Interior Design

Currently working with David who is an absolute delight. He was referred to me by a friend and he had me after I visited his website which is beautiful, creative and speaks to his irreverent approach to life but also demonstrates that he has serious chops as a decorator. The interview started with a walk through of my empty and recently purchased condo. He gave me a sense of how he likes to work with a client which everyone should want to know. Based on what he learned about me and what he felt about the space, he outlined the solutions that he thought would make my space come alive. We agreed to work together and are now total partners on the project. He listens and counsels when I try to go off the reservation with some staid idea that he knows from experience will detract from the vision I have for the space. He has established a color palette and is sourcing fabulous antiques mixed with the new. What makes me happiest is that he designs around my treasured art collection. We are working on the entire house, but in phases so we don't get overwhelmed. His fees are reasonable and I never feel neglected. His attention to every detail tells me that my project is important to him. David's credentials are strong which is evidenced by recent awards for his work by St Louis At Home Magazine. I am so pleased we found each other and would recommend him to anyone who is seeking a decorator with professionalism, personality and true talent.
