When we decided we needed new furniture for the family room, I really had no idea where to start. It's an important space and the furniture needed to be RIGHT so I decided a designer was the only way I could go. I found Connie through a Google search and this page. I wasn't sure what to expect, but Connie was so kind and didn't judge my lack of style. She listened to the (limited) ideas I had and asked all the right questions to get to know my family, how we live in the space and how we wanted it to work for our family of 4 that includes 2 teenagers. When she unveiled her design, I was blown away! Our room is oddly shaped and she arranged it in a way that would never occur to me in this lifetime. Even before the furniture arrived, I couldn't stay out of the room because of the new color and arrangement. The room felt lighter not only because of the light that she opened up, but it felt lighter physically. Even the architectural attributes, once hidden, shine now. It sounds silly, but I didn't believe that my room would actually turn out like the design she made-but it DOES. I feel like a grown-up with a real - and beautiful - room! Thank you, Connie!

I added a Family Room and Master Bedroom to my current home and converted the former Living Room into a new Dining Room. I wanted to ensure that the house flowed and it worked for our family. My husband and I have been working with Connie Dean as an interior designer for the past several years with the purchase of furniture for the family room and kitchen. Recently, I decided to update our living room so I contacted Connie at Ethan Allen. I originally thought I wanted to just add new tables but it became evident that we needed an entire room makeover. Connie came to my house, measured the room and wanted to understand our vision for the room. We discussed how we wanted the room to look that would fit our style. Connie designed an entire new makeover for the room that included lamps, tables, sofa, chairs and window treatments. She did an excellent job of selecting pieces that fit both the room and our budget. She wanted us to have an idea of how the room would look when we were finished. We ordered a few pieces of furniture and continue to add more as our budget allowed. She also incorporated my favorite chair that we have had for about 10 years. The room is not completely done but we have definitely made progress. Friends and family are absolutely amazed at our new living space. I would highly recommend Connie to anyone living in the Cincinnati area who is looking to update their living space. She is very knowledgeable, professional and we have enjoyed working with her.

I met Connie in early 2017, when I began a living room redo. Connie worked with the pieces I felt I needed to keep, asked questions about my interests, likes and dislikes, and soon after presented me with a beautiful vision of how my room could look. Walked into Ethan Allen just after closing on my new home. I was greeted by Connie and am very glad I happened to be able to work her! She helped me design my living room and select the furniture that would adequately fill the room. Connie helped me custom design two of my leather chairs that turned out most excellent. We purchased a condo last year and decided to replace all our old furniture with new. The condo has an open LR/DR area but some odd shaped sections. We decided to get a designer to help us and were very fortunate to have found Connie at Ethan Allen. We told her the furniture type and look we desired and she did an incredible job of finding us the quality and simplicity we wanted. Her ideas turned our new place into a beautiful living space. She has great listening skills, even finding ways to get input from my husband in am manner that worked for him She took our likes and dislikes, our goals and hopes and created an exquisite design for a master suite of our dreams. Throughout the process she kept us informed and offered solutions to ensure delivery was coordinated with construction efforts. Connie is a true professional in every way. I hope everyone has a chance to work with Connie to create a place for their own dreams!

My husband and I could never agree on any decorating decisions before we began working with Connie. She took her time to get to know each of us and our styles independent of each others, and then found a way to blend them together - the result is perfection! Decisions are so easy when we are working with Connie and our beautful home is a proof of her capabilities. We won't make a decorating decision withour her input and we come back to her over and over again.
