Colleen really listened to the overall feeling I was trying to convey for my huge living room and made it happen! She was fabulous every step of the way and made me feel very comfortable from the get go. Extra great was how she would explain why or why not an idea for a piece that I would have would work, or not. Hence, she educated me along the way about combining textures, making sure products are sized appropriately, having a balance, drawing in pieces that compliment each other, etc. She understood my vision and made it work all while taking into consideration the flow and pathways throughout the room. I don't think all designers can take their personal preferences out of the picture like Colleen did and really work to create the customer's vision and make it more beautiful than they could ever imagine! "Window shopping" in the Ethan Allen store also made things easier since there are many coordinating pieces to choose from but it was Colleen that knew how to style and choose the exact pieces for my room to create and complete my vision. I highly recommend working with Colleen as your designer!!! NOTE to the Ethan Allen execs - please redesign your website! The custom arrangements that can be made for couches are totally hidden or much too difficult for customers to find. If Colleen hadn't of explained the custom configuration couch option during our initial first chat, I would have searched elsewhere and Ethan Allen would have missed out on an expensive order. I explained this to her and she and a designer sitting nearby said they hear that from customers all the time and have let the corporate office know. Thank goodness for the wonderful staff at Auburn Hills listening to their customers and sharing all of the great furniture ideas EA has to offer.

Colleen’s extraordinary eye for design and level of service have been such a gift! We moved into a new home and had to basically start over - given the new living spaces that our old furniture / decor just didn’t fit anymore. I couldn’t be happier with the very collaborative way that Colleen worked with me to find the perfect pieces that made our new house a home. She was also incredibly responsive with any slight issues that arose. She is a dedicated professional and proved this over and over during our time working together. So grateful to have been able to work with her. Highly recommend!

Colleen is a joy to work with! She has helped me with 2 complete houses and updates on several other homes. She pays close attention to detail and listens to the clients thoughts for the end result. We visited many furniture businesses until finalizing at Ethan Allen in Auburn Hills, Michigan.... we were lucky enough to have met “Colleen Gahry-Robb, .... Colleen came to our home, gave us different ideas, and helped us finalize our decision... we purchased a dining room table with chairs, and a buffet.. we also purchased a couch and love seat... Colleen is a very knowledgeable in her business.....she is also sincere and sweet..... We are very happy with our new furniture, and should we want to add pieces, we will definitely visit Ethan Allen and request Colleen Garry-Robb..... she is a true professional.....

We've purchased a lot of furniture from Ethan Allen in past years, but this was the first time doing so from the Auburn Hills store. Colleen was our designer and sales person, and our experience working with her was excellent! She has a great sense of style, and was very attuned to understanding what we wanted and finding furniture that was well suited to our home and decorating goals. We'd happily work with Colleen for our future projects, and highly recommend her.

Colleen was absolutely wonderful to work with. She visited the muddy construction site of our new home to measure for a design plan for our great room. Colleen listened to our ideas and she created exactly what we had envisioned, only better. She took into account all of the finishes we were using in the house and included some of our existing pieces into her design as well. She nudged us towards a patterned fabric on the ottomans and we are so glad she did, they’re stunning. The result of her work is a beautiful, stylish, comfortable room. We look forward to working with Colleen again.

AN EYE FOR COLOR AND DESIGN! Colleen has been a blessing to me on two very big house projects, a new build and a make-over to an older home. She has problem solved in areas the painter and builder have failed, she has chosen correct size furniture for tricky spaces, and does not waste any time. She is a tried and true professional who has experience to draw from. I would not consider using anyone else. I have been working with Colleen for years and would recommend her to the fussiest of clients! Why? because I am one!!
