Información profesional:

Jenny & Deirdre both trained as an interior designers 15 plus years ago. Deirdre in London's KLC at Chelsea Harbour Design Centre and Jenny at the Dublin Institute of Design DID. They're paths crossed in 2015 where they were both lecturing in Interior Architecture in DID. Their respective routes to that point however were quite different. Early in her career, Jenny was the Interior Design Team Lead on the Dundrum Shopping Centre Fit-out for Architects BKD. While at the same time Deirdre was working for high-end Residential Design Studio in London's Notting Hill (Jill Scholes Interior Design) before setting up her own Studio in 2007. Together they have a vast experience and repertoire of trusted trades and suppliers both in Ireland and in the UK.

Robswall, Malahide I engaged Collab to help turn our new apartment into a home. We were downsizing and moving from a family house with tonnes of character to a lovely, but ‘blank' apartment. Our brief to them was to give us storage, furniture, texture and colour - to create a space we would be happy to spend time and proud to have family and friends visit. They more than delivered - and advised us well on where we should spend the bulk of our budget to get most impact. We trusted them to use colours, materials, and design features that we would never have selected ourselves. We are really delighted with the result and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Deirdre took our tired 20+ year old apartment and transformed it into a modern, contemporary space. She listened clearly to our wants and needs and maximized our available space. In addition to the design, she managed the project expertly and found a contractor that we were very happy with. We would definitely use her again.

We engaged with Deirdre and Collab Design Studio earlier this year to do space planning, interior design, color palette selection and general design ideas for our new home. We had been struggling with the lack of space utilisation and it was compounded by the fact that there were recent furniture and fixture purchases which we didn't want to throw away. After talking to almost 15 designers and firms we decided to go ahead with Deirdre for two reasons - one the excellent follow up and structured approach which she took right from the start of discussion and second, the level of details on the design deliverables which she showcased that would get delivered to us. I am pleased to say that not only Collab Design was competitive in the quote for services, Deirdre was a pleasure to deal with and went over and above to get the design, colours and accessories right for us. Her design concept are at great level of detail and has already helped us to transform our 3 bedrooms in phase 1 of the work. We are looking forward to phase 2 which will complete the living and kitchen areas in the new year. Would highly recommend Deirdre and Collab Design Studio to anyone looking for a superb interior designer!

I contacted Deirdre and Jenny to help with interior design and internal finishing of our ground floor extension which included a kitchen, study, main sitting room and small den / TV room. Collab came up with an overal design look and feel that took account of our visual aesthetic and the way our family wanted to engage the enhanced space in our home. Collab Design supported us through selecting all furnishings, fittings, kitchen design, paint colours, flooring, lighting etc. They had wonderful ideas, listened to our preferences and were a pleasure to work with. As a result we really enjoyed the entire process and as a family we are over the moon with the results of the project. The Collab Design Studio team have a talent for using colour and textiles in each room which gives each space unique character but links each room in the house into a cohesive comfortable interior. I can't recommend them highly enough and will definitely work with them again. A huge thank you to both Jenny and Deirdre.

I contacted Deirdre to help me pick paint colours for our newly renovated home. I was living abroad so needed someone I had total trust in. From the first moment I spoke to Deirdre we had a connection and we talked through exactly what I was looking for. She did an amazing job I was extremely happy with the results and she guided me to be more adventures and I am so happy she did. Our home flows from one room to another and friends always ask if they can have my colour chart to use in their homes. I would highly recommend Deirdre you wont be disappointed. Patricia

We worked with Deirdre on a downstairs remodelling of our 1930s semi-detached house. As novice renovators, we found her expertise invaluable. Our space was limited and our demands high! She gave us the confidence to pursue a design which was not immediately obvious and we could not be happier with the outcome. We gained a downstairs loo and a beautiful open plan kitchen/diner with acres of storage. The lighting and electrical plans made our space eminently practical and crucially we avoided the typical lines of recessed lighting that afflicts many new builds and renovations which can make a space feel cold and un-thought out. What we have instead is a definite ‘wow’. We found Deirdre to be a highly creative designer with a methodical and professional approach which sets her apart in the industry.

I cannot recommend Deirdre Coleman more highly. We have a very old house and this year we completed our second project with Deirdre. We are thrilled with the result. Deirdre listens and has an amazing ability to introduce contemporary while keeping true to the spirit of the old house. Deirdre’s ability to source fabrics and fittings to suit is commendable. Her team of tradespersons, such as curtain makers and carpet fitters, all worked seamlessly with the builders. By the way , the first job Deirdre did with us is still perfect- withstanding the test of time in a busy household. Hilary. County Wicklow

My husband and myself hired Deirdre to help us during the build of our new home. We required advice and guidance with the design of some of our interior features such as bathrooms, flooring, some joinery and electrical plans. While Deirdre has some desirable qualities that are useful to anybody that may be unaccustomed to working with builders and tradespeople, we did run into various issues of which we felt Deirdre handled very poorly, all of which could have been avoided with a little extra care. The rectification of these issues amounted to a considerably high, additional cost to us - paying this, created much upset and stress for us. You would be well advised to do your own homework as regards suppliers recommended to you and the quantities of materials required to complete jobs with clarification of all of this in writing as beyond this, any culpability on Deirdres behalf will be non-existent. It is possible for anybody to learn to speak fluidly about any subject matter. We would not recommend Deirdre at all, to anybody.

I used them initially in a space planning capacity in helping me fine tune the layout the architect had presented a slight re-jig on the ground floor allowed us to achieve a useful pantry area just off our kitchen. (That if I’m honest is one of my favourite parts of the house. )They helped me maximise space and allow for the best layout of washrooms and bedrooms. I then hired them to help with the interior design (initially wasn’t sure the budget would allow this) and wished I’d hired them sooner the savings they helped me achieve with their suppliers were amazing especially given the look of them. They suggested bold colours that initially might of seem daunting but i trusted they knew what they were doing and was not disappointed. The compliments we have received are incredible even down to trades people working on the house who initially thought the ideas were bonkers have changed their tune. I’d definitely recommend Deirdre and Jenny.

Last year we just moved into a new house that was an empty shell, expecting a baby very soon after. We needed to make this house a home, fast! Deirdre was very easy to work with, very dedicated and quick to respond and helped us with some great ideas while keeping within our budget, and giving us just the right amount of options to choose from. I would absolutely recommend working with Deirdre!!

Deirdre did a full makeover of my bathroom and did a superb job. The room was small with a very high ceiling and needed some real creative genius to bring it all together and make it bathroom that we wanted to use and enjoy. Deidre was first of all an absolute pleasure to deal with and my standards are high. She was professional, followed up when she said she would, produced really clear visuals of what she was pressing to do and her attention to detail and follow up was second to none. But most of all I loved her creativity and obvious talent for the work she does. The end result was better than I could have imagined ! I could not recommend Deirdre more highly. Clodagh Hughes

Our house is relatively small and subject to several extensions over the years. Deirdre provided several very clever options for maximising use of space and giving the old place a new and contemporary look. Very happy with the service and well worth getting the professional advice from someone with an eye for interiors.
