Carolyn Johnson for Ethan Allen in Des Moines

I have worked with Carolyn Johnson both professionally ( the entire first floor of our sorority) and in my personal home. Her work at the Sigma Kappa sorority included complete design of the formal living room , the semi-informal living room, the dining room and the guest bath. In my personal home she chose some upholstered pieces and upholstery fabric to recover the dining room chairs. She has been delightful and easy to work with. She is respectful of others wishes and changes, yet her work continues to be professional and the results attractive. She definitely knows how to convey beauty, functionality and eye appeal. Her personality is “designed “ to work well with clients, she also handles problems graciously (0ur carpet was delivered in two different mill runs).I highly recommend Ms. Johnson.

Carolyn did a great job helping us with furnishing our sunroom and our dining room. She had good ideas on fabrics that would be low maintenance and wouldn't fade with being in a sunroom. On the dining table, we were working on a tight window and needed something that was offered as a quick ship item. She wasn't pushy on our purchases and gave us updates for shipping. Carolyn helped us transition to a new home. She worked with the pieces we wanted to keep, suggesting updates and different ways they could be used in the new space, and worked to find new pieces to complement the project. She was prepared for every meeting, very responsive, and always kept us informed about the progress of our order. She had many good ideas that were subtle but significant to the overall project. We are very pleased with the end result, and we highly recommend her.

Carolyn arrived promptly for the appointment. She brought several drapery fabrics to choose from. She had good ideas on fabric plus drapery and valance styles. The product arrived in a timely matter.
