Carmit is amazing! Her sense of style is incredible but beyond that she is wonderful to work with! Carmit did most of our home furnishing and decorating project remotely. Before we interviewed Carmit, I was a little worried about how remote design would work. Within 5 minutes of our first video call, I was no longer worried. Carmit grasped the layout of our house immediately and got right to work. Carmit is super responsive. I don’t think I ever waited more than a day to hear back from her. Carmit was always happy to schedule a quick meeting and our meetings were always incredibly productive — she would bring our designs to life in her design software right on the call. She is super accommodating and whenever we discussed changes she always came back with another great option that incorporated our requests. Carmit was always honest and direct with us and didn’t hesitate to tell us the upsides and drawbacks of different options. We love all of the pieces Carmit picked for us; it’s clear she really understood our style. I’m so glad we trusted her to furnish our house, our house feels like our home now. We would work with Carmit again in a heartbeat!

Carmit came in on a huge project (a 3-story 4-bedroom new build) after it had already started and did a fantastic job. She selected paint, tiles, hardware, lighting, and made sure everything worked together stylishly but also not garishly. Many of her unique ideas are the most attractive parts of the house. She was always flexible and easy to work with and helped us through innumerable issues both small and large. The house is very near completion, and she's currently helping select furniture as well - I'd work with her again any time and recommend her unreservedly.

Carmit has helped us design two of our homes. For our current home, Carmit designed interior of the entire house from scratch. We and everyone who visits is floored by the outcome. What we appreciate most is Carmit was able to achieve the desired aesthetic without compromising function. The character of current house called for a slightly rustic (rustic modern) feel compared to previous home which was very modern. Carmit was able to deliver efficiently on both ends. She of course took into consideration our needs, our likings and overall feel of the house. But I’m so glad we went with Carmit’s vision for the house and did not influence the design with what we saw in every other house or all over internet. Doing so has given us a beautiful unique interior which now my friends are talking about replicating in their homes!

Carmit and her team are simply one of a kind and the best in their field. We are so pleased with the results of our remodel. We bought a 1950s home with great bones, but the outdated original bathrooms had to go. The entryway also needed a refresh. I was a fan of Carmit’s work on Houzz and IG for over a year and loved every project. I am happy to say that she surpassed all of my expectations. Together with her team, she transformed our dark & outdated house into the home of our dreams. She helped modernize and reconfigure our master and guest baths, and created a mudroom in our entryway. She guided us through where to spend and save in order to get more bang for our buck. She suggested vaulting and adding shiplap to the ceilings of both our master bath and entry way, which made a remarkable difference. Because of these elements, our small house now feels spacious, bright and luxurious. The project was not only completed within the promised time frame over the holidays (!) but also within budget. My husband and I were extremely lucky to work with Carmit and her team. We highly recommend her.

We are first time home owner. The kitchen in the house we bought was from 1957, so we knew we can't move in before we build a new kitchen. For many years we have been following Carmit Oron Interior Design and we knew she is our designer. That was the best decision we made. We love her taste, ideas and her vision. Carmit came to our house as many times as needed to rethink new ideas. She gave us more then 1 plan and was very welcoming to brain storming. We hired Carmit to remodel the two bathrooms in our 1925 craftsman home. She did a great job and we couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome of both. Carmit is great at designing spaces that are true to the character of the house and yet she brought in new, modern ideas. She’s really good with color and the overall look and feel of a space. Carmit was very responsive whenever we had questions or concerns and she worked very closely with our contractor. If and when we plan our next remodeling project, we’ll definitely contact her again!

Carmit helped us with the remodeling of our new house. Being first-time homeowners it was important for us to work with someone who could help us understand what should be done, connect us with the best professionals and make sure that everything goes as smoothly as possible. Carmit was definitely a perfect choice to deliver all the above. She helped us plan the changes, choose the materials, lighting fixtures, colors, and some of the new furniture for the house with endless patience and a smile (beneath the mask, since it was all during the COVID-19 pandemic..). The team that worked on this project did an excellent job (contractor, tiles, cabinet maker, landscaping, A/C, painting, and a few others) - and many of them have been working with her for a while and you can tell they enjoy it as well. We highly recommend working with Carmit!

We hired Carmit to update and add character to our entire house. She was able to work within a tight time-frame and help us make quick and smart decisions which has resulted in a beautiful and functional final design. She was mindful of our time and budget, and used a mix of custom and more affordable items. She was able to add more character (and function) to our house through the use of beautiful custom built-ins, casing, trim, wallpaper, paint color, flooring, custom stair rails, and interesting furniture and art choices. While the end result is beautiful and unique, my husband and I are especially happy that she figured out how to balance our different styles (classic/timeless vs. more modern), and lead us to the best design choices. She is to the point and not shy about giving an honest opinion, which we appreciate.

We really enjoyed working with Carmit and love what she had done with all of our bathrooms (2.5) as well as our den (built in library shelves). She is really good at generating ideas and building upon them; she listens well to understand taste and priorities. Carmit can really see the potential in every space and her designs are especially fresh and modern without being complicated. She’s also efficient at narrowing down options, creating designs, and executing the project and that was worth every cent. I have a few other projects in mind and will definitely hire Carmit to do them even if I have to wait a few months.

My partner and I are about to move home after 9 months of transforming a 1000 square ft. 60's ranch into a modern 2100 square ft. beauty. From the first meeting with Carmit, we knew we had found a talented and dedicated professional. She has been absolutely invaluable in a major project. She is organized, honest, efficient, diplomatic, patient, and creative. Carmit has taken our ideas and refined them into a stunning home, completely within our original budget and time frame. Carmit did a great job designing our family room. She also helped us to choose flooring, curtains, rug, sofa...Carmit is hard-working, very responsive, always replies in a timely manner even on the weekends and late nights. We moved into a new house with very little furniture. Carmit helped us completely furnish and decorate our living & dining room, as well as create and install a custom storage/TV wall unit. She is a very good listener. We struggled to imagine how pieces would look together, so she created not only vision boards but also 3D renderings. We wanted to buy from stores we could see the items in person. Carmit gave us recommendations for items within our style and helped us think through trade-offs of budget/quality from a variety of stores like RH, West Elm, Serena & Lily. She also passed on her designer discount where possible to us. She connected us with contractors who were competitive in their pricing. She also brought in finishing touches like plants and vases for final staging for a photo shoot, and we kept/paid for items we liked. We had strong opinions about how things should look, but we trust Carmit to not only bring in her own perspective but also listen to our feedback. The only area of improvement: including her subcontractors into our discussions earlier so we could avoid miscommunications about what is and isn't possible. We spent some cycles and had to fix some issues due to contractors telling carmit something, but us not being in the loop.

Carmit is super talented and has a great eye and understanding of space, style and budget and can think outside of the box. Our living room and dining area had transformed in a way we couldn't have imagined and we love the new look. Thank you.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Carmit and the result was stunning. When we approached our project we knew we must find a designer that can design the house to our taste and needs but more importantly can lead the project from start to finish. From the first moment and until the very end of the project, Carmit was simply awesome and a delight to work with. Everything in the project went exactly as we hoped it will. Carmit was there to lead the project, solve the problems, make adjustments as needed, come up with great ideas on the fly and somehow always with a smile on her face. As part of a huge home remodel, we worked with Carmit to design a completely new kitchen as well as new fireplace/shelving for our family room. We could not be happier with the results. We didn't really know what we wanted and Carmit effortlessly guided us to designs that suited us perfectly. She was very, very responsive, a key factor for us. She even followed up with the (less responsive) general contractor when we expressed frustration with them, even though that was not her responsibility. My husband and are just finishing a huge top-to-bottom home renovation with Carmit as our designer. It was a big project from the very beginning but it got bigger and bigger as we added more areas of the house we wanted to update. My husband and I have very different tastes but Carmit was instrumental in helping us find a happy medium and give us a final look we were both extremely satisfied with. We knew we wanted to get rid of walls on the main level and change the configuration of our master bathroom. Even though Carmit is not a general contractor from the first meeting she had an eye for accurately figuring out what was possible in term of structural changes. She was always easy to reach and a pleasure to work with.

Carmit did a great job designing our house remodel. Remodeling can be hard since there are existing house limitations we have to work with. Carmit had amazing ideas on how to turn limitations into a beautiful and stylish design. Carmit - thank you so much for your talent! I know that I was not easy to work with, thank you for your patience all this time! We wake up every morning enjoying each and every detail: the mustard doors, the black hinges, the dark accent shelves, the chalk doors, the huge skylight, the oriental tile, the books organized by color (!), the grey and dusty blush colors scheme, the beautiful Carrera tile in the kitchen, the concrete like countertop and many many more! We LOVE and appreciate every single detail! The only thing I'm sorry about is that I haven't listened to all your recommendations :-) Thank you again!

Carmit was our designer and managed our house remodeling project for over 5 months. Carmit is amazingly creative, and has a lot of great ideas. Carmit was the best part of my kitchen remodel! She has a great sense of design and really has an eye for what looks good together. On top of that, she is so sweet and patient! I was so overwhelmed by all the choices out there. Carmit took me shopping many times. Each time, I would find an inspiration piece and she would pull together coordinating pieces that all looked amazing. I had a hard time deciding which way I wanted to go with my kitchen and Carmit was so patient with me. She also had to make sure to incorporate my husband's taste which wasn't easy. She also saw to all the details of the installation like which direction the tiles would flow and how the seam between different flooring types should be done. At the time, I had no idea how important these little details were. thank goodness we had Carmit looking out for us. I came to really depend on and trust Carmit. If she said something would look good together, I believed her. I LOVE my kitchen and Carmit was a key player in making it all happen!

I worked with Carmit for a few months on our new office project. From the first moment, Carmit came with great ideas and of the box thinking, which eventually made our office to be unique and most importantly a great workspace for our employees.from budget perspective , Carmit presented us a few options. Together we built the most suitable plan. I recently completed a ~$350,000 project working with Carmit that comprised the renovation of my kitchen, three bathrooms, and the construction of a kitchenette to service my patio. My house is a 1920s era Mediterranean style house in the Forest Hill neighborhood of San Francisco. I had not undertaken a project of this scale before (really, any residential renovations) and I count myself luck to have found her. We spent a good deal of time talking through the concept in addition to an in-person walk through. I wanted to retain the original, characteristic elements of the house while giving it a tasteful update. Carmit had some diagrams of the spaces that were done by the engineer and she subsequently corrected them as she found errors. We talked though the initial design concept multiple times and she provided me with well thought through choices. Carmit came on to my project late in the game and worked incredibly hard to get us up to speed with all the requisite decisions. I did not know the first thing about choosing plumbing fittings/fixtures, where to place light switches, or any of the technical choices I would otherwise have been left choosing for myself. Beyond that, she gave me some remarkable (*daydreaming* of magazine covers) design ideas. Once we started making some choices and she got a sense for my aesthetic – we were totally in sync. I feel like I was lucky. If you have to explain what you’re going for after conversations and initial choices – you’re in trouble. While this may sound contrived, I came to really look forward to my appointments and conversations with Carmit. If you are considering a project, I welcome you reaching out to me personally. I’m happy to speak in detail about the scope of my project, budget expectations, and my experience working with her. I am someone who gets blinded by the choices of showrooms, and Carmit, highlighted the areas of my project where we could economize while still keeping a cohesive design scheme without prompting. Without her guidance, I would have found myself way over budget and at a loss for where to make sensible cuts. She is highly budget conscious and will deliver based on your requirements. Where you will find the most benefit from Carmit’s expertise is actually in the execution of the design. I asked her to work hand-in-hand with my contractor. She was present for each of the critical meetings and was willing to trade e-mails or have conversations based on my schedule. With her precise eye and understanding of our objectives she managed the job. I spent… I would say 25% of the time and effort I might otherwise have expended. Never underestimate the value of a translator if you’re not intimately familiar with renovation/construction work. I suspect this is her least favorite part of the engagement ---which is probably why it will be the most valuable to you. If I can offer no other advise it’s this: find a designer who understands you, but hire them to see the work through in partnership with your contractor. It will save you time, aggravation, and mistakes…a lot of the hell people normally complain about. It is an investment. Also, while I believe Carmit is the best, meet with several designers and see for yourself before you get underway.

Carmit is a very professional designer, her ideas are both creative and beautiful and at the same time practical. In addition, it was important for Carmit to understand our personal taste and our needs. She is very kind and it was a joy to work with her!

Hiring Carmit Oron as the designer for the first house our company built from ground up was absolutely worth it. Carmit did an outstanding job not only in the design but also in assisting us with the project management and coordination. As a designer she completely understood our vision, she's got a good eye for colors and managed to create a design that is both tasteful, elegant and cost efficient to us as her client. Carmit has been absolutely perfect for us and our taste. Couldn't ask for more and I'll keep coming back to her! We bought our house - it was in good condition but somewhat dark/old fashion taste. We had such a great time designing our kitchen with Carmit and there is not one thing I would change, we love our kitchen so much! Carmit guided us right from the start, she spent a lot of time with us looking at designs and understanding what we like and then helped us think a little more out of the box. We would never have chosen a blue island and had a chalkboard wall but it is stunning! We had a tight budget and Carmit made sure that we kept to that. I was most grateful to her for narrowing down all the overwhelming options for materials. We went on an initial shopping trip with her so she could work out what we liked and explain materials and costs to us, which was so helpful and really helped us own our project. She then continued to send us links to things we might like and was relentless until we all agreed. She was incredibly patient, available, knowledgeable and hardworking, we had complete confidence in her. She was as passionate about creating our new kitchen as we were and her enthusiasm kept us going as we microwaved our frozen meals. I can’t wait to get her back to do our other projects, she has real vision and talent and knows how to design something that is both functional and beautiful!
