The Bassett Furniture Design Studio is a full service Interior Design firm located in Des Moines Iowa. We are involved in all aspects of design from online consultation to turn key projects around the country. Our current location 'The Design Studio' at 10300 Douglas Ave, Urbandale, Iowa is our furniture showroom. In our showroom you can see custom furniture, custom window treatments, blinds, shades and a variety of custom interior products. We will also be happy to assist you in selecting fabrics from our extensive fabric library. Our unique looks extend to lighting, flooring, art and accessories which gives our clients a one of a kind end product.
Come and browse the showroom for lamps, framed art, pillows, flower arrangements, upholstered furniture, tables, chairs and rugs.
In addition we can provide: Space planning, Color consultation and Painting services. We sell
Blinds, Shades, Plantation Shutters, Hunter Douglas, wood blinds, honeycomb blinds, pleated shades, honeycomb shades, screen shades and roman shades.
We also can do custom window treatments, drapery panels, cornice boards, tab top draperies, valances, top treatments, drapery hardware and drapery rods
We have custom furniture, sofas, chairs, upholstered chairs, leather sofas, leather chairs, dining chairs, dining tables, consoles, buffets, end tables, coffee tables, cocktail tables, ottomans, side tables, swivel chairs, storage ottomans, chests, chest of drawers, dressers, beds, nightstands, bureaus, gentleman's chests, glass top tables, and copper top tables.
We consult for kitchen design, bathroom design, counter tops, back-splashes, custom cabinetry, cabinet hardware, custom mantles, faucets and sinks.
We sell wallpaper, rugs, accessories, pillows, throws and throw pillows.
We source lighting, lamps, pendant lights, sconce lights, tourchieres, chandeliers, ceiling fans, floor lamps, table lamps and outdoor lights.

If you want a job done in a timely fashion with no lengthy delays, then Scott's Creative Home is the company for you. I couldn't be more pleased with the work and finished bathroom. Scott took the time to find out exactly what I was looking for and worked with me all the way. The remodel took more than anticipated, yet the initial estimate was true to the finished price. The craftsmen were easy to work with and always left a spotless work area. They did an excellent job. I recommend Scott's Creative Home without reservation.

We purchased an office building in 2008 occupied by Scott's Creative Home that Scott had renovated into a beautiful facility. Every room has a unique element of characterization created by Scott and his staff. The exterior colors, curved handrail at the front entry, a metal staircase to the second floor and hanging pocket door with an external track are just a few details that grab the attention of our visitors. It truly is a showcase of Scott's work and we are honored to have such a charming piece of Valley Junction.

Scott was not only fun to work with but I loved his ideas. It started off with a sofa and we ended up with a complete living room, including carpet. Scott also helped me with pictures, lamps, window treatments and some accent pieces.
I highly recommend Scott for his integrity and ability to create a space that is easy to live in and beautiful. You won't be disappointed with the results.

Scott is fantastic!!! We purchased a 1925 Stucco Red Tile beauty and he is helping us reclaim her glory.
The light for the dinning room he found for us is perfect!!!
It matches the house and decor exactly. He knew what she needed and found the perfect light fixture. Pictures to follow.

We are very pleased with the finished product and service we received from Scott's Creative Homes. They recently completed a partial kitchen remodel that has us enjoying our kitchen space as one of the best entertainment areas of our home.
We found Scott to be thoughtful, thorough, and very knowledgeable of design options. He took time to learn about how we live in our home, then took time to offer thoughts, and develop the plan. He was very responsive to our questions and completed all aspects of the project on time. His knowledge of the design business offered us the top product options throughout the process. If something needed adjusting, Scott was there to make it right.
We are totally pleased with his work and will not hesitate to have him oversee our future projects.

Scott helped turn our dated family room into a stylish, yet functional, family space with a WOW factor. He and his wonderful team designed and created a fireplace and tv wall combining wood and stone elements that gave the room a well-needed focal point. They also built a wood countertop for a room-length cabinet that matches the wood surround of the fireplace and mantel. It truly transformed the room! Scott patiently navigated us through design options as we balanced our wants/needs with our budget constraints. His team was easy to have in our home: friendly, orderly, on time, detail-oriented, and highly skilled. We will definitely request their services for future projects!

This project was a test of perspective. While we wanted to keep the fireplace low with an inset mantle, we wanted the TV as low as possible. By using a trim pattern on top of the TV we achieved the function while maintaing our form.

Scott is a great listener. My husband is fussy, and Scott understood the parameters of the project. Even though this was a small project, I always felt like it was important to Scott and Steve (his master craftsman). I would highly recommend Scott's Creative Home.
