I had the pleasure of engaging Anita a few months before COVID-19 hit. She had been highly referred to me. As a professional business owner myself, I found her to be communicative/collaborative/timely/ and a CLASS ACT. Her taste is impeccable. She worked with me during the first months of the pandemic and our project was completed on time, on budget, and installed with care and perfection. Anita has been a pleasure to work with. She made my fiancé and I feel very comfortable in helping us manage many of our decisions with various aspects of our new construction townhouse. She offers a hands on approach that is not only professional but personal. She has a great eye and was able to provide a solid organizational style to help us outline a detailed schedule to follow during our home building process. She was able to provide us with a preferred vendor list (many who work with her on a regular basis) and offered suggestions on how to work within our budget based on the allowances given by the builder and where she thought best to allocate any overage or additional funds. We have very much enjoyed our overall experience with Anita and look forward to working with her again in the future.

She updated my kitchen and mudroom. New appliances, painted existing cabinets, new counter tops, back splash. Anita accomplished a nice comfortable up to date look within my budget. My husband and I are thrilled with the results. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Anita.

Anita Clark, Salem, MA interior designer, was a total pleasure to work with. She was extremely helpful as she assisted us in our move from our home of 51 years into a newly built 2-bedroom condo with open space and streetscape. With a great sense of style, Anita had suggestions as to what furniture and pictures would fit in our new smaller quarters and what we would need to make us feel like we were still “home”. Anita’s first suggestion in the new condo was window treatments--natural woven shades- matching throughout. This then, set the tone for combining old and new. She was able to answer all questions concerning selection of fabric, recovering favorite pieces of furniture, providing new bedding and placement of accessories. We left the selection of rugs completely to Anita and her choices fit our style beautifully. Each of her suggestions has contributed to the upbeat feeling achieved in our new space. Anita made what could have been a challenging and emotional experience into a fun and exciting new home.

I worked with Anita Clark on a major home renovation that took two and a half years to complete. I could never have done this project without her expertise. Anita is incredibly knowledgable, creative, resourceful and mindful of expenses. She is extremely organized and efficient. We were continually provided with detailed information on materials and expenses which was particularly helpful given the length of time of our project. On a personal note, Anita was a pleasure to work with; a great and willing collaborator. She was instrumental in making what could easily have been a stressful endeavor into an exciting and satisfying experience. My home is remarkable thanks to Anita Clark.

Since October 2009, Anita Clark of Anita Clark Design has been helping us to restoring our 1900 home to its original eleglance. We have completed on time and within budget major renovations to our home including a library with extensive mill work, three bathrooms, laundry room, summer room, master bedroom including rebuilding a mantel and fireplace as well as working on a complete renovation of investment property. What I enjoy and respect most of Anita's work, is she allows me to create my home the way I want it, but founds us the most reliable and talented "subs" around and guides us with her outstanding flair for color and materials.

I worked with Anita on a project to completely renovate my newly purchased 100 year old oceanfront home. The project included: the complete redesign of kitchen and 1st floor powder room, creation of an en suite master bedroom (additional bathroom, office with built-ins, and closet) and finishing the 3rd floor (2 additional bedrooms, bathroom, and sitting room.) Anita’s design fully exceeded my expectations. In addition, at the very start of the renovation, I was asked to take a full year work assignment in Switzerland. Without Anita, I honestly am not sure how I would have managed through the project. Anita was completely flexible to meet with me when I was in the states, no matter what day or time. And for each meeting she was fully prepared with agenda and plan for the next items to be decided. She provided me with excellent choices for all the details: hardware, lighting, paint color, etc. and all within my budget. She was the ultimate professional, guiding me through the process at every stage. And she advocated for me with all contractors in my absence. I recommend Anita without hesitation and have done so many times-- to all those that have seen the remarkable transformation of my home and wanted to work with the master designer behind it.

From early construction until the final picture was hung I “worked” with Anita Clark on my new condominium. I put “worked” in quotes because to me, it certainly never felt like work. It was more like an exciting and joyful journey with someone who knew the destination, and the best way to get there. Anita is very knowledgeable about layout design, the best places to find furniture, fabrics, lighting,, and anything else needed to make a house a home. She is focused, organized, creative, and great fun to work with. I came to Anita with my own ideas and image of what I wanted in my new space. Anita was respectful of my thoughts and plans, while as the same time leading me to think about other options, never settling for “It’s OK”, always ready to seek “I love it”. Now our “work” is done. I highly recommend Anita as a designer/ decorator extraordinaire. Enjoy the journey.
