Alicia is incredibly talented. Her artistry shines through in all that she does. She is able to see the details and how they all work together to form a whole but also knows when the detail begins to detract from the whole. She also challenges my instinct to have everything "match" and is able to use diverse styles and perspectives to come up with something new every time, while also remaining in line with my personal tastes.

Alicia and her team we amazing to work with. My wife and I were fortunate enough to have her work her magic on our dining room, foyer, and living room. From the initial consultation to the final touches, she exceeded our expectations in every way possible. The biggest compliment we can give Alicia is that as the project went along, it got easier and more enjoyable because she took the time to learn and understand our specific style, making our design choices a breeze. We have been working with Alicia of AKID on several projects since 2019. The first project Alicia worked on was a challenge because we were right in the middle of a master bedroom suite project. Completing a project that was started by someone else is no easy task. But, Alicia proved that she was a fully capable professional. She smoothly transitioned herself into the project and worked with the existing contractor and took over for a designer who no longer was available. The final results: She transformed a mundane master suite into an exquisitely designed master bedroom suite in spite of being thrown into the midst of the project. Every single detail was addressed which is the reason we continued to work with Alicia on every other room in this home. The results are phenomenal … a combination of our personal style and Alicia’s great interior recommendations…she truly contributed to our achieving a very unique and personal style. We continue to receive complements…it’s amazing how many people make positive comments. Alicia successfully combined our favorite existing pieces with unique distinctive pieces resulting in an Art Deco modern style. In 2020 we purchased a home in Cape Cod. We sent Alicia photos, floor plans and more not thinking that she could in fact continue to work with us on re-decorating this home; we just wanted to share the second home purchase with her. But, Alicia used our photos and real estate information on the house to start making suggestions. We realized that Alicia was fully capable of working on the home even though she never physically visited it. So we continued using Alicia on virtually all aspects of decorating the home. She managed to completely transform a typical beach styled home into a beautifully modern styled home with numerous distinctive pieces of furniture, chandeliers, rugs and accessories. She accomplished this, as stated, without setting foot on the property. We highly recommend hiring Alicia whether it be to work with a contractor or to re-decorate or re-style your home. Alicia has a special knack to select unique pieces of furniture that match individualized and personal style. Alicia is a fantastic designer and I highly recommend working with her. I was looking to design one room and ended up doing a second room immediately after because I was so happy. After moving from a small apartment we needed a lot of help with a larger space and all of the intricacies involved in lighting, painting, carpeting. I hired Alicia to help me with a full kitchen remodel. I wanted a new layout to optimize space and storage, but my kitchen was very tricky. Alicia designed several layout options and tailored them to my requests. In the end, she came up with the perfect layout for my kitchen. Alicia is fabulous. I had a wonderful experience working with her. She really listens and understands what you want, and then she shows you what you asked for as well as some other ideas that are even better. She is also great with budgets and there was great communication and no surprises. I'm loving my home and what she's designed for us.

We hired Alicia approximately one year ago for design services for the living and dining room for a new Tudor home. I am passionate about interior design and look at images all the time, so I consider myself to be a demanding client. We have spent approximately $90 - 100,000 to date and will continue with Alicia to work on the rest of the house. We could not be happier with Alicia's work. What has resonated most with me about Alicia's talent is her ability to use discipline and simplicity to elevate a space. Alicia has made our rooms glow through her sense of proportion, color and light. Some elements are old and some are new and Alicia encouraged us to select simple pieces that would let our more interesting pieces take precedence when appropriate, pushed me not to overcrowd and let the rooms breathe. The end result is bright, happy and interesting rooms. I wanted something different and we found really unique pieces make me smile every time I walk by them. I don't plan on doing this again any time soon so I wanted to an end result that is beautiful yet fun and will create a happy atmosphere for a long time to come. Because we mixed pieces from many styles and time periods, I do not think our home will feel too dated in years to come. I also do not think it reads too loudly that it has been "designed". It has a cohesive yet natural feeling to it that does not look like we tried to hard. Alicia is extremely easy to work with. She is very flexible about how to shape the process. I liked that I never felt pressured. Alicia let me push the envelope in terms of my own contributions so that I felt very much a part of the end result, and not that someone chose everything in my home for me. She did not push me to chose overly expensive items that were beyond our means . Alicia is extremely responsible with finances and definitely treated our money like she would treat her own. In short, I would highly recommend Alicia. You will not be disappointed with the result and she is a joy to work with!

Working with Alicia on the renovation of our Manhattan coop was such a pleasure. Being both very creative and practical, Alicia's experience helped us re-imagine the apartment. The final design works wonderfully and the colors and materials Alicia chose reflect us perfectly and are beautiful.
