We are a professional custom draperies and bedding workroom open to both the design trade and the public, serving all of Central Texas and the continental United States. For over fifteen years we have been creating one of a kind distinctive designs and treatments for your interior. Our quality craftsmanship and attention to detail speaks for itself.
Lisa LaChance started Something Sew Unique over ten years ago in Horseshoe Bay, Texas. While there she had the opportunity to create unique window treatments and bedding in every style, texture and fabric imaginable – from rustic country to shabby chic to sleek contemporary style. She was afforded the opportunity to attend market in Paris, France, which further sparked her interest in all things fabric for the home.
Whether your look is modern and streamlined, boho chic or formal and traditional, we can help to bring the look you desire to your rooms through the perfect draperies, shades and/or bedding. You may just want to add a pop of color or change the entire look of a room. Let our experience and expertise help you make that vision a reality.

I contacted Lisa for some drapes in my family room after consulting with several other drapery designers; all of which who told me my options were limited. Lisa on the other hand knew exactly what I was looking for. I had a specific fabric I wanted to use. She came through with flying colors! The drapes are beautiful and cost less than the other so called designers. She also modified some of my existing drapes which also came out beautiful. She is professional and does beautiful work. I highly recommend her. She's wonderful to work with.

Lisa with Something Sew Unique helped us put drapes on our back patio 15ft tall. We needed something functional and that looked great. She was very prompt, professional and knowledgable. We got exactly what we wanted! We would hire Lisa again.

Lisa’s work is excellent! She is very responsive, knowledgeable, professional and prompt. She helped me select the best blinds for my home, took perfect measurements and had them installed very quickly. I was very impressed and pleased. I love my blinds!!

I phoned Lisa LaChance from a recommendation on our neighborhood website (River Chase)and called to interview her regarding custom window coverings for my home. We setup an appointment and once she determined my general preferences, she brought many ideas and fabric samples to discuss with me. Lisa was prompt, prepared, professional and extremely helpful during the process of me selecting a style that met my expectations in fabric, color and design. She completed my custom valances earlier than anticipated and scheduled an installation day at my convenience. They are amazing and beautiful...exactly what I envisioned! I would work with Lisa again and highly recommend her talents as a decorator and her services.

Lisa is knowledgeable and wonderful to work with. Her work is exceptional and prices reasonable. She installed wood blinds in our bedrooms and made two very large cushions for my kitchen banquet. I cannot wait to have another opportunity to work with her again.

Lisa designed a large cushion for our window seat and our son's complimenting bedding. After reviewing a substantial choice of fabric, she outlined the project and we chose a durable yet beautiful/soft material. The finished product was just beatiful and Lisa's completetion time was on the spot. She met all my expectations and we will continue to use her services for more designs in the future. Lisa LaChance was absolutely fabulous! She is wonderful person and does exceptional work. Lisa is very prompt and helpful when needing advice or assisting in decision making. My need was, taking existing curtains from another home and making them work where I currently live, which involved quite a lot and she did it with ease. I would recommend her highly for any of your sewing needs.

We needed some custom drapes for a huge floor to ceiling window. We made an appointment to meet with Lisa, at which time we picked out our fabric and explained exactly what we wanted. She was so helpful and very professional. She explained everything told us when we could expect them to be done and installed. It ended up that they were done earlier than expected, which was great. She came personally with her team to install them and they too were very nice and professional. They look beautiful and we highly recommend Lisa and Something Sew Unique for all your window treatment needs. Her quality of work is impeccable!

We were told about Lisa and Something Sew Unique on our neighborhood blog. Several people recommended her. We made an appointment with her to come do measurements in three rooms. She made sure that we were fully aware of what our odd sized windows would look like with coverings and the different options and worked within our budget. She came to install them several weeks later. We are so happy with them. They are exactly what we asked for. Great person/company to work with. We definitely recommend her and will use her again.
