I will help you love your home a little more! Interior design is my passion and windows are a critical element of any space, which is why I love styling them. I have 31 years of experience in the interior design industry, including having owned my own window covering business, and bring extensive knowledge and exceptional service to each new client and project I take on. I am trained in color consulting and my work has been published in Window and Wall Magazine. Nothing pleases me more than making my clients decorating dreams come true, which is why I stay current with interior trends by reading everything from Dwell and Traditional Home Magazines to participating in Houzz discussions and following designer friends on Pinterest. I have lived in Portland, Oregon for most of my life and am a member of the NE Community Center and the Window Coverings Association of America. Along with interior design, I love cooking, sewing, skiing, biking, traveling and spending time with my family.

I can't recommend Denise enough. This is her 3rd time assisting us in custom window coverings for our home. She is passionate about her job and is extremely knowledgeable about color schemes and how certain fabrics may not be an appropriate fit in overall design. Denise is also extremely personable and almost intuitively knows what I am looking for in terms of aesthetic. Every window she has helped customize is unique and fits the decor of each of our living spaces. I look forward to working with her again on some other future projects!

I have waited 1 month before writing this review because I hesitate to write negative reviews about a business person. I understand everyone makes mistakes. It's unclear to me why the reviews here are so polarizing but unfortunately I did not have a good experience with Denise. She was rude, condescending, and disrespectful. We just bought a new home and have had many of contractors, landscapers, designers, artists, etc providing bids and sharing their expertise. When I contacted Smith & Noble, they suggested an in-home designer could do exactly this. Somehow this was not communicated to Denise because she made it very clear from the beginning that she was put out. It was actually quite shocking to meet someone who was so comfortable insulting me in my own home. Such odd behavior! Hopefully she was just having another "off" day. For the price, I hope for a level of consistent professionalism.

I got estimates from 3 designers, and Denise was by far the most knowledable, communicative, and easiest to work with. The company was running a promotion, so she also had the lowest price for my project, and I was able to add to it as a result! Denise showed me lots of options and was great about working within my budget. The process couldn’t have been easier. She was recommended to me by a friend, and I have already recommended her to others.

Denise did a wonderful job walking me through the process of ordering window treatments. She was so easy to talk to and seemed to instinctively know what I was looking for. The process was stress free and enjoyable, all because of Denise. She is a professional with wonderful helpful ideas. I love the way my new house looks! I couldn't of accomplish this feeling of a polished and completed home with out her, highly recommend her expertise!

I can't recommend Denise highly enough. She listened to what I wanted to do, what my budget was, took detailed note of my (then) current decor, and what my goals for my windows were (darkening, security, etc), and we were able together to find just the right shades for my windows. My house is 90 years old, and often the windows are non-standard size. This was no problem for Denise and Smith & Noble. The shades arrived on time, installation was a snap, and Denise was there to oversee it all. A year later (!), I called Denise with a question about one of my windows. She came right over with her own set of tools and made an adjustment to my shade. What incredible customer service! Denise is a gem. I wouldn't hesitate to use her again!

Unfortunately I cannot recommend Denise. Not sure if it was an off day for her or if our personalities just didn't mesh, but my 2 hours with her were strained and unhelpful. I am not reviewing her talent or expertise with window treatments or design, just her demeanor. Suffice to say, we were not compatible.

We had a very positive experience with Design Consultant Denise Judge. She was personable, efficient, and very professional. She guided us carefully through the selection and payment process of purchasing our new Honeycomb blinds. We were impressed with her knowledge of all the available products, and her suggestions for which choices would work best for us. We are very happy with our new blinds, as they are not only beautiful, but have kept our home noticeably cooler during the recent heat wave. Thank you, Denise!
