At Coastal Maine Interiors, Kim will work with you on all of aspects of any project, from selecting the perfect piece of furniture, a single window treatment, a custom slipcover, a unique area rug, to furnishing a whole room. Kim has helped me choose colors for much of the open concept part of my condo, and more recently for a master suite project. She has also helped with pulling the whole design together. In both cases she has given me valuable input. The results are stunning.

Kim Connell turned my ho-hum 70's cape into a welcoming place with personality. My somewhat timid mention of red ignited her creativity and we were off. She unobtrusively and, ever so patiently, offered suggestions of design and complimentary colors. Kim's attention to quality and details is superior, and she listens and works with each client with personalized care. My now beautiful blue (remember I mentioned red) kitchen with stainless appliances and granite counters is bordered by the dining area accented with bold red and blue wallpaper. The same print in the wallpaper is carried into the living room's fabulous window treatments, which were made by Kim. A new couch and two chairs in complimentary colors finish the room. The transformation is amazing! Kim has done other outstanding work for me as well. I highly recommend her. I have two bathrooms to update and Kim will be consulted first. Betsy Lane Yarmouth, maine

Whenever clients have color questions I immediately recommend Kim. She is a good listener, works with the client to reach their objectives and is not pushy. Time and again customers give me feedback on how talented and insightful she is. Another helpful ingredient is that she is very reasonably priced. Kim can stretch a budget to meet everyone's needs. I have worked with her on $200 K homes and $5 M homes. I have seen her transform simple little apartments and condos on real tight budgets. Not to mention stunning makeovers on million dollar homes. I was recently asked by a realtor what I thought was the missing ingredient in a house selling. I asked the realtor if she minded if I was blunt with her. She said no, so I told her to hire Kim as the stager and do everything she recommends. She followed the advice and amazingly the house was under contract in 2 or 3 weeks and recently sold! I always look forward to working on projects with Kim and have been doing so for 8 years. She recently had me paint some kitchen cabinets for a client and take out a wall that was blocking a good view. The results were great, and it was a fraction of the cost of all new cabinets! I know Kim enjoys house calls, but, having her own showroom is an added bonus. It is worth the visit if you have not stopped in before. Kim Connell of Coastal Maine Interiors is a skilled designer who offers a wide variety of services. I used Kim to help pick out paint colors for my home which had white walls for 20 years. She was recommended by our painter who knew I was hesitant to use color.. Not only are the colors perfect for the house, I had no idea how much color can influence the "feeling" of your home. The BEST thing about working with Kim, however, is that she is there to help you express YOUR tastes in design, Not hers! Before she suggested anything, she took 20 minutes to walk all through my home to get a sense of MY tastes and style. We are currently renovating our dining room. She helped determine the correct proportions and style for the chair rail and panels below and helped pick out and supply the wallpaper for above. She also "supplied" the person who will install the wallpaper.. Additionally, she will be helping rehang our custom made drapes (cornice boards, swags, jabots and sheers) which were sent to the cleaners during the renovation. We will be starting a complete bathroom renovation in 2 weeks and Kim already helped with opinions about the new tile, solid surfaces and sinks. I will use her services again to help choose colors/wallpaper.

Kim, owner of Coastal Maine Interiors, has been helpful to the max with all of our decorating wants and needs which have spanned two homes and one RV. She has been spot-on with her recommendations for furniture, fabrics and window treatments and has never wasted our time with frivolous ideas. Kim has excellent taste. She has superior customer service skills and will not lead you where you do not want to go. All of the products, vendors and tradespeople she has recommended and/or used have been excellent. When we have needed after-sale assistance, she has been able to access her accurate files and has provided the information immediately.
