Accents for Living

Our experience with Accents for Living was a nightmare from the start. Our designer was unresponsive, even after speaking personally to the owner to rectify the communication breakdown. Multiple unanswered texts (not late reply, simply not even acknowledged), and emails that were “sent” by the designer but I never received. This breakdown lead to a miscommunication regarding my design and ultimately product ordered in error. When the couches did arrive they were much yellower than the swatches appeared. While we were given a small discount and given some swatches of accent fabric to try out to see if we could make the couches appear less yellow, but no real guidance and we’re left on our own after I didn’t like any of the choices. Finally, a chandelier that was ordered for our project, I knew in my heart just wouldn’t fit the space. The owner refused to return it, even though it was completely unopened in the box and I offered to purchased a different light through her store to replace it. Completely unprofessional is the only way I can describe this transaction. There are many high end furniture stores in the GTA that have access to similar suppliers, I would bring my business there instead. I feel like I have wasted tens of thousands of dollars. I wonder if we had spent more of our experience would have been different? Clearly we weren’t an “Instagramable” client.

The ladies at Accents for Living are absolutely wonderful. The attention to detail is impeccable. Our home is beautiful and a joy to live in.

We found Accents for Living while researching potential decorators to help us re-furnish our new condo. We met Daniella Dolman at the Oakville store and, after an initial discussion, decided that we had found a good fit for us. Daniella spent time with us in both stores and at our condo getting to know us and understanding our design preferences, She did an outstanding job at selecting furniture, styles and fabrics for us to consider which made the final selection process stress free and streamlined. The order and delivery process was handled efficiently and Daniella kept us informed as the process went along. In summary, we are very pleased with the results and would not hesitate to recommend Accents for Living and particularly, Daniella, to others.
