We are phasing in a new facility in Windsor, CT. Zel was suggested to me by one of my colleagues at the facility. I am really glad we decided on Zel. Zel were (was?) ahead of the schedule and ahead of the curve every step of the way. I was also surprised by Zel's the "quiet professionalism". On a big project, there are a lot of egos, not on this one. GC's can have egos and projects can be very chaotic, not this one. I look forward to the next phases of the project. Zel will figure into all of my future projects in the area.

We hired Zel to do a major overhaul on our finished basement. They listened carefully to our vision for the space and then also suggested their ideas in order to bring it to a new level. They all have a talent for creatively coming up with fantastic solutions to every aspect of the project. The quality and workmanship of the built-ins, trim and beautiful bar area were all top notch. The finished product was beyond what we had envisioned! The Zel team will not disappoint you!

I give Zel my highest rating and recommendation. I chose to partner with Zel following a leak in my finished basement that snowballed into a complete gut job and new build-out. I've managed other big home improvement projects and have never been as happy with the contractors as I was with Zel. From start to finish, communication was clear and proactive (I was never surprised by anything), the job site was kept clean and tidy, the workmanship was unbelievably awesome and every single member of the Zel team at my house was professional and courteous at all times. It is hard to find a partner like Zel in the building and construction world. Zel is one of a kind. I HIGHLY recommend working with Zel.

They completely remodeled our kitchen, 2 bathrooms & our family room. A great team of workers spent time making sure every detail was addressed. Zel, Inc. vinyl sided my home and the results are outstanding. It originally had ceder clapboard siding and Pete suggested taking off the old material which at first I thought was a mistake - well I was wrong. It gave Pete's crew that ability to fix a few rotten areas and gave them a flat surface to apply the vinyl siding. They are a company that shows up when they say, stays on the project until completion and treats your project as if it were their own home.

The key element for me that sets Zelbuild apart from any other contractor I've dealt with is reliability. When Pete says he's going to get back to you at a certain time, you can count on it. There is NO waiting around, wondering when you're going to hear from him. Second, His knowledge and experience give him a firm grasp of any structural or financial limitations. Pete was very pleasant to work with; always willing to work with you to see what could be done to make what you want happen, but not afraid to tell you if it wasn't possible. His straight forward nature that is much appreciated. I had a lot of work done from a new roof and gutters to remodeling my bathroom and lots of things in between. Different groups of workers were assigned for their specialties and everything came out beautifully! If it wasn't for Pete's willingness to work with my budget and his proactive attitude, I wouldn't have been able to buy my house. Thank You! I highly recommend Zelbuild!

I contacted Zel to provide an estimate for repair work at my elderly Father's home. The project included tear down and rebuild of a first floor sunroom, re-siding the back half of the home and re-roofing the entire home. Peter was prompt and professional, estimates were clear and precise. The project started on time, the work site was always neat and the project was completed within the time estimated. I immediately hired Zel again to build a patio, reface and level the front stoop and walk and repair external chimney brick. I am very happy with all the work . I highly recommend Peter and Zel!

We started working with Zel on a house we purchased with a 203K loan. Zel had good experience with this type of loan which made the long and somewhat intimidating process much easier. They took our home, which in some areas was practically falling down, and remodeled it to a beautiful, brand-new state. They got everything done that we needed, worked with us for numerous in-project changes and adjustments, and still finished on time and in-budget. We have gone back to them several times for additional work, as well as for references for smaller projects.
