We hired Spexarth Design to do all the frame work for a 19' x 25' covered patio structure that is attached to the back of our house. My husband planned to do the project himself, but the size of the support columns & beams, the roof trusses, and his lack of time caused us to get estimates for the framing. On our first meeting, Roger was professional, advised us of pros and cons of our plans, causing us to make a few last minute changes. He said he could bring in his crew and have the frame work done in 2 days. He reviewed our material list, and found a very important error on the size of the micro-lam beams. After their first day of work I went out to clean up, and I had to hunt for anything to clean. On their second day, I didn't even bother trying to find something to clean. The work site was spotless. He & crew were kind and considerate. The job was done on time. We would highly recommend Spexarth Design.

Overall, we are extremely pleased with the outcome of our kitchen remodel that Spexarth Design completed. Designing the look we wanted and picking out the finishes was a simple process. The company and their team members were always very easy to get ahold of and helpful. Roger and his team did a great designing our kitchen working with our budget. The total remodel came in over budget because of some unforeseen expenses that were uncovered after demo. The timeline of the project took longer than expected, however Roger’s attention to detail made up for delayed completion. The work crew that came to our house for this project were always very courteous of our space and trustworthy. They also did a tremendous job of cleaning up the area each time they left to the best of their ability, so our house was still livable during this remodel. We will continue to recommend Spexarth Design to family and friends.

As a business they’re professional, respond to inquiries, and are extremely knowledgeable at their craft. From a personal standpoint Mandy and Roger are just good human beings, which in this day and age that’s very hard to find. Their honest and true to their word. What was really awesome is that they really make you feel like a part of their company and not just a customer. I’ve never demo’d anything before and They would give me tips on how to get it done properly. The job took them about a day and a half and we absolutely love our floors. I got home from work and the first words out of my mouth were, “holy S***.” It’s like we have a completely new house. Spexarth Design just gained a customer as long as I own a home in Wichita. I’m calling you guys for everything, and my parents will be reaching out about a couple of projects they have as well. I really have nothing but good things to say about them as a business and as a family. They made my first contractor experience a good one. Can’t wait on our next experience!

Spexarth Design was very professional and helpful in getting the job completed. The crew was very friendly and explained what they were doing. The clean up after the job was excellent and thorough. The quality of their work was excellent.

Spexarth Design recently completely remodeled our 1991 master bathroom to bring it into 2017. This included ceiling work to close off a skylight space (it was already closed off from new roofing prior), and installation of a brand new, south facing window. From the ceiling to the floor, everything was replaced and fitted with the latest materials and furnishings. They also painted, floored, and added new recessed lighting to our master bedroom. We obtained two proposals, one from Spexarth Design, and one from another contractor; both were very similar. I chose to go with Spexarth because of past reviews and photos, as well as Roger (owner) relaying a passion and energy for his work when we first met. All employees and sub contractors were respectful of our home, and to my husband and me. During the entirety of our project, several people did give their notice of resignation. It was something that can happen and it had to be navigated for both Spexarth and us. In the end, we did go over our budget by a fair amount, but it was due mostly to design materials and making the right decisions for the space collaboratively. We did not anticipate the length of the project to become as long as it became. This was my husband’s only negative. At times we experienced some miscommunication, but we could always reach out to the lead on our job, or Roger, and were gotten back to quickly where we could discuss things and come to an understanding. Towards the last few days of the project, extra time and energy were spent to ensure a speedy completion. We appreciated the little details that were taken care of; a brick on our front step was broken and they fixed it, or when replacing the door to our bedroom, it was noted to be sticking, so they sanded it down a bit. The clean up was very well done at the end. Lastly, several gratis’ were extended throughout the project that were not in the original proposal; a professional courtesy that shows good business and was recognized by us. We are very pleased with workmanship, design, look, and function of our new space.

Spexarth Design completely remodeled our entire first level of our home. Kitchen, dining room, living room, 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms entry, laundry, and added on an addition. The crew paid close attention to detail and quality. Our "New" home is beautiful.

We hired Spexarth Design for our Kitchen remodel after seeking bids from two other companies. Spexarth was by far the most personable of the companies we spoke with and they have a solid online reputation which led us to go with them for the remodel. The remodel consisted of our cabinets being painted with a conversion varnish (from brown wood color to grey), pendant light installation and ceiling scraped/painted, new white quartz countertop installation, new sink and faucet installation, and installation of a white subway tile backsplash. The only reason we gave Spexarth a 4 out of 5 star rating is because of one bump in the road during the renovation. We had originally planned to have white cabinets, but after Spexarth sprayed our cabinets the bright white color didn’t mix well with the style of our cabinets and some cracking was going to show over time. This was not something we noticed after they sprayed the cabinets, but Roger (the owner) knew that overtime we wouldn’t be happy with the end product. We appreciated his honesty and integrity, as many other companies may have just moved forward and not even told us. This ultimately caused some delays in the project, but we understand that finishing is one of the hardest things of a remodel and appreciated how Spexarth handled the issue and made it right. After changing direction a little bit on the design, we are extremely happy with the end product as you can see by the pictures! Work quality was fantastic and Spexarth stayed on budget.

Roger and his crew lowered and expanded our kitchen bar to make an island. They installed new granite counters and stone back splash. The fireplace tile was replaced to compliment the back splash. New lighting replaced the old box light and accent lighting was added. They made good suggestions and were easy to work with. We would definitely work with them again if the need arises.

Roger Spexarth of Spexarth Design completed my Master Bath and Bedroom in January 15 2015. I want to tell you it has been almost a year now and I LOVE it more then ever. He did a complete gut job from windows, new woodwork, ceiling, floor and bath design. We removed the Garden Tube and the walls of mirrors for the 80's. Everyone who see's it eww's and ahhh's Roger is master to details and requires that of his team. FINISH SUPERIOR and EVERLASTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would refer Roger to anyone.....................

Our remodel project has consisted of a kitchen and bath remodel as well as new flooring/countertops for the whole main floor. We are 90% complete. After interviewing multiple contractors, we selected Spexarth Design and have not been disappointed. It was important that we know who was coming and going from our house during the project. We hired Roger Spexarth because he is on the job site working with his own crew. This has made it easy to stay in touch, have questions answered as the job progressed and problem solve through unexpected roadblocks that sometimes arise during the remodeling process. Many frustrations and conflicts arise from different expectations from both parties. Roger minimizes this as he readily communicates his plan, quickly responds to questions and most importantly follows through with his commitments. If for some reason, he or his crew is unable to make it, he has never failed to communicate the changes. Roger understands that remolding is a stressful time for the homeowners even when everything goes as planned and he and his crew try to minimize the chaos by keeping the living space as clean and neat as possible. From the design and bid stage to the implementation stage, Roger not only has demonstrated his extensive knowledge, he has also exhibited a wonderful sense of style, design and an eye for the small details that adds the finishing touches that makes his company unique. Spexarth Desgin has been superb to work with and we already have plans to confirm him for Phase 2 of our remodel.

They built a wonderful new deck for us. Roger listened to our ideas and tweaked his design to include our visions for our new outdoor space. He stayed within the budget he gave us and there were no surprises. He was fairly busy with other projects while completing our deck so it did take longer than the initial timeline. Roger was also great about getting back to us in a timely manner any time we had questions.

Spexarth Design remodeled our bathroom, can't say enough good things about the quality of the work, timeliness and professionalism of Roger and his employees. I not only recommend Spexarth Design, but will call them again for future projects.
