Jeff is amazing. I live in a home Jeff built back in 1995. We moved in about three years ago and decided we were going to do some extensive remodeling, and after some research I was able to get in touch with him. Not only did he meet me at the city to look at plans and make sure we were doing our renovation safely, he helped me understand the full scope of renovation in its entirety! Pacific Crest Builders did a nice job on my project. They removed a load-bearing wall in my house and came up with a solution to open up the space as much as possible. The contractors were polite, clean, and helpful.

We purchased a home constructed by Pacific Crest Builders and moved in May 2018. The home is very solid, well built, has many smart thoughtful add-ons. We would be remiss in not mentioning the fine attention to detail in the finish work. Most impressively, we did not purchase the home directly from the builder, rather, we purchased from another owner. Jeff still has spent time with us to discuss key attributes of the house and even helped out when we were out of town. In our experience, this type of care and interest by a builder is very rare and an added bonus of buying a Pacific Crest home.

We initially contacted Jeff Randolph of Pacific Crest Builders with an inquiry regarding a potential remodel of our Walnut Creek home. Ultimately, that discussion developed into plans to demolish our home, split our lot, and build a new home from the ground up. It was a lengthy and complex project, and we have been very fortunate to have Jeff and PCB working on our behalf. A number of factors consistently stood out in our dealings with PCB. Jeff’s extensive background and ability to execute a myriad of project details, as well as the level of energy, dedication, and persistence with which he managed our project were truly impressive and significant factors in successful completion. In addition, both Jeff and his team were incredibly responsive, always returning messages on a timely basis. We especially appreciated Jeff’s ability to navigate the complex process of executing the split of our lot. Jeff worked diligently to ensure that the broad range of regulatory requirements was met and potential pitfalls avoided. The effort and experience he brought to this process were outstanding. When actual design and construction began, we again appreciated Jeff’s skill in executing our project. PCB has a strong group of subcontractors with whom they work, and bids were also solicited from additional subs as well to help ensure that we had the best combination of cost and quality. The visibility provided to the bid process enabled us to make decisions on how our construction budget could be spent most effectively. Throughout the process, Jeff provided suggestions for improvement, and actively managed and communicated with us regarding issues that arose. The finished construction reflects excellent design, quality and attention to detail. We were not expecting an undertaking of this scope to be easy, and indeed it wasn’t, but Jeff Randolph and PCB skillfully guided our project to completion. We are thrilled with our beautiful new home and are very fortunate to have had PCB as our partner. We highly recommend Jeff and Pacific Crest Builders to anyone considering a home construction project.

We hired Pacific Crest Builders Inc. to rebuild our house in Alameda that was destroyed by fire in October 2015. We found the company to be very professional in all areas of construction performance and contract adherence and warranty. PCB also worked as our advocate with our insurance company and with city and county offices as necessary. The company provided regular and thorough reports of status on their construction plan. The personnel we interacted with were professional and courteous and timely responded to any questions. Pacific Crest was thorough in ensuring all work was satisfactory and in accordance with plans and contract. We had one significant correction needed after our move in and the company president, Jeff Randolph, personally was involved in problem identification and resolution. We would gladly recommend and use Pacific Crest Builders Inc. for any future project.

Pacific Crest Builders transformed our property by demolishing the existing old and outdated structures and building a new modern duplex in its place. Jeff and his team (especially Jim Criscione and Charles Curtis) are incredibly organized and responsive. They made sure to keep everyone up to date with regular updates, as well as on-site meetings when they thought it would be more helpful than meeting in the office. They also were able to navigate a difficult permitting process, given a number of bureaucratic challenges. They used a number of subcontractors, most of which were outstanding, both in terms of quality and cost. A few that stood out were CBD Appliances, Woodline Cabinets, and Elite Builder Services (flooring, counters, backsplash). Given the length of the project, there were a number of weather challenges as well. Even during the rainy season, they kept the site safe and dry. Jim and his team would stop by to make sure everything was properly covered and protected when needed, and would proceed when appropriate. Jeff and his tem didn’t just walk away when the build was completed. They have been available to answer questions, come fix minor issues (which are common with a job this size), and to even coordinate with subsequent contractors, including the landscaping team, to ensure things went smoothly. Overall, we have been quite pleased with the work. We have been living in our new home for about 6 months now. We 100% recommend Pacific Crest Builders to anyone wanting to renovate or build their home.
