Simply put: Rob is the best. By way of background, we have done many large projects including building an entire house from scratch. We have worked with many contractors and NONE have come close to the experience we had with Rob (and his team). He was always available, very insightful and his attention to detail and perfection is unmatched. We never had to worry about going over budget and Rob always made us feel that we were his top priority. We will never do any additional work to our house without Rob being involved.

Rob Knorr and Nordic Construction did the build out for our new kitchen and family room, which are attached. Our cabinetry was done by a kitchen design firm, but Nordic did all of the prep including plumbing, pre construction, electrical, etc. It was a big job. They did an excellent job. They worked very well with kitchen company. They did the work in a timely fashion. In addition, they found issues from previous construction that needed to be addressed, presented it to me, and fixed the problems. Rob's right hand man Tim is great. A true artisan, he can do anything. Recommend highly!

Over the years I have renovated several houses with several contractors, and Nordic was by far the best. It has excellent people on its staff, and retains the best specialists in the area for subcontracting work. Its president, Rob Knorr, with years of experience, has a great sense of what is needed and how to get it done efficiently. He and his staff were pleasant to deal with, and understood how to turn my general descriptions of what I wanted into reality. In situations where the right kind of detailing makes all the difference between a utilitarian "fix" and a first-class upgrade, Nordic turned this "renovation" into a "transformation." It always came in on time and at or below budget, and Knorr was a real stickler with the subcontractors. I give Nordic my highest recommendation.

Wadia Associates worked with Rob Knorr of Nordic Construction on an approximately 6 million dollar residence that we designed in Pound Ridge, New York. Throughout the project we found him to be an extremely skilled, thoughtful and hard working Construction Manager. He cared deeply about the quality of the project and went to great lengths to keep its costs within our Client's budget. He is very knowledgeable of all trades, keeps a close watch on the workmanship of his sub-contractors and is very pleasant and easy to work with.

I can't say enough about Rob Knorr and Nordic Construction. He's done many jobs for me from winterizing a porch to building a full 2 car garage w/ master bedroom suite addition, to fully renovating an 1870's Victorian. his work, his ideas and his suggestions are always incredible (I mean it!) and money saving. For one smaller job, removing exterior wooden stairs and replacing them with steel, he strongly suggested hiring an architect. It cost me $2000 and probably saved $10,000. And his pricing is what it costs to do the job right plus his markup. I don't bid anyone else. Jobs I did with rob ranged from $20,000 to $300,000 between 1993 and 2014. Feel free to contact me for photos, details, etc. Billy bigmaho@verizon.net Update, Rob just did another job for us, a total kitchen rebuild in the spring of 2016. Once again he did incredible work at a great price. And once again his suggestions were incredible. What I thought would be a refinish created an entirely new and improved space. A lot of the work was done whole we were out of state. He's the only guy I'd trust to rip apart my house and put it back together without me even being there !

Felhandler/ Steeneken Architects

Rob Knorr of Nordic Construction has been the General Contractor on a number of projects we have designed in Westchester County NY and the results have been wonderful in all cases. He's easy to work with and fair in his pricing which makes him an ideal contractor to partner with when building your custom home. He followed our drawings carefully and put in the extra effort required to fully realize our artistic vision. He really cares about and loves what he does. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

I've had the pleasure of knowing Rob on a personal & professional level for over 20 years, as we've done many projects together in that time. I can honestly say that Rob is one of the best builders I know, in more ways than one. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to construction, & makes the extra effort to research & be up to date on the latest materials & best practice issues. He is very personable & has a great rapport with clients, while also having a great design sense. He is a team player & I know my clients are in good hands when he's on board. There is more to being a good builder than just knowing how to build...it requires many different skills, & Rob possesses them all.
