Whalen Contracting is a father and son lead team of licensed and fully insured carpenters who take pride in the quality of their craft. Since it’s establishment in 1982, Whalen Contracting has done thousands of jobs at a fair price for their clients. Whalen Contracting believes in doing things the right way which is shown by their professionalism and attention to detail. Shawn and his entire crew were professional and got everything done super quick. The electronic payment method and invoicing is also a plus, nice to be able to pay with debit instead of waiting for a check to clear! They did lots of other repairs other than the door but the doors the most noticeable change and it's beautiful.

I own property on greensburg road, lower burrell , pa. on one of my buildings, the shingles were coming off from a recent wind storm. i contacted whalen construction about fixing the problem. they were very quick to respond to my phone call and went and fixed the shingles immediately. i highly recommend this company for any roofing issues or a new roof or any jobs you need done.

Michael J Whalen Construction Co built a first floor laundry room transforming a portion of the back porch into a clean bright room of off my kitchen in January. I was extremely impressed w the quality of their work, the efficiency of the workers, their willingness to “get things done the way I wanted” esp when I really wasn’t sure of what I wanted. Well done!

Whalen Contracting has remodeled my bathroom, my kitchen and has now put a new deck/porch on my house. They do extremely high quality work. I have more projects that need to be done and I will most certainly hire them again.

We needed to have our deck replaced and decided to include a screened-in porch. Mike and Sean Whalen have exceeded our expectations. The craftsmanship is stellar. They understand design and made suggestions to alter and improve even though it meant a change of direction and more work for them. Their crew was professional, courteous and respectful of our property. The value and quality is top-notch. I would use them again in a heartbeat!

We are so pleased with the entire roof and gutter replacement work performed by the Michael F. Whalen company. We have never met a company that was so focused on customer satisfaction. The Whalen Team’s patience, quality, customer support, and attention to detail was outstanding from the quoting process to the final clean up after the work was completed. The training and expertise of the Whalen team was first class which resulted in their flawless execution. Despite very challenging weather conditions (6 days of off and on rain) the job was executed to perfection. Our home looks brand new. We look forward to completing more home improvement projects with the Whalen team in the near future.

I actually hired Michael and his son, Shawn, on two occasions. They finished my basement at my townhouse at 7 Springs in 2015 and they did such a phenomenal job i hired them again to finish it again along with the first floor of my place in 2017 when it suffered severe water damage due to a broken ice maker in my refrigerator. And, i would hire them again if i need any other construction/contracting work done. They are nothing short of excellent in every respect. They are very easy to deal with, responsive, accommodating, extremely professional and do excellent work. The work they did at my place was extremely high end and immaculate in every respect. Highly recommend them.

Whalen Contracting did an outstanding job on my house. This was a large job which included the replacement of the roof, gutters and downspouts, soffit and fascia, and siding. Whalen's crew had an excellent work ethic. They were punctual, professional and very skilled. The pride that they showed in their work and their attention to detail was impressive. I recommend Whalen Contracting and would definitely hire them again in the future.

We hired Whalen Contracting for a new roof, windows and siding. We couldn't be happier. The work that they did is A+. The crew of men were excellent. The clean up each day was great. Things weren't lying around the yard each evening. We wanted a few different things done and they worked with us to give us exactly what we were looking for. I would recommend them for any type of home remodeling that you are looking for.

Whalen Contracting installed an extension to an existing deck during August, 2017 and did an excellent job. They assisted in the layout of the deck providing suggestions for the final layout and design. We needed the deck installed in a timely manner and they accommodated our schedule by moving already booked projects around and working overtime. Very minimal supervision needed; all staff are self motivators. Excellent contractor and we are extremely pleased with their work and approach to the work. We would use Whalen Contracting again and have no problem highly recommending them to others.

Michael F Whalen Contracting replaced our approx. 2,000 sq' of roofing in 3 days. Son, Shawn, and crew are very polite and professional. Roof looks good and everything cleaned up nicely. I would definitely consider them for future needs

We waited a long time before we were able to add a back porch to our house – it was worth the wait! In the design phase Whalen Contracting worked with us to achieve our vision while providing expert advise along the way. They kept us informed of the design and material ordering process. The quote provided was accurate and did not change at the end of the project. They were also spot on with their timing as far as when they could start the project and how long the project would take. At the start of the construction phase Shawn and his crew showed up on time (everyday), cleaned up at the end of the day, were very polite and worked with us on minor changes (both construction and material changes) that we made along the way. Once the project was completed the crew went to work on the clean-up phase. They did a great job cleaning up their work area. They also power washed the porch (twice) to ensure it was spotless. The finished product is everything we could have hoped for! We have had countless compliments from friends and neighbors…some saying it looks like something out of a magazine! Thanks Whalen Contracting!
