Jason and his team just completed our beautiful custom home in the Galleria area and we couldn't be happier. Jason took a lot of time to help us understand our options (with foundations, plans, engineering firms, etc) before we ever signed a contract with him and was extremely responsive throughout the process. Coming off two consecutive floods and one terrible remodel experience, we were pretty nervous to commit to such a large investment. We didn't need to worry when working with Jason! He is a professional who takes great pride in the work his company does. It didn't take long to develop a good relationship with our construction manager. We established effective communication and felt we understood what was happening on the project and knew what to expect. Overall, I think we worked really well with Ray. We felt we could talk to him about concerns we had throughout the project. He never got defensive or gave us any push back if we didn't like something or were worried about things getting done. He never made excuses. If something didn't happen when we thought it should have, he let us know. He definitely went to bat for us with the subs to get the work done. This is the first house we have ever built but after working with Jason and Ray, we are already planning house 2.0 and would definitely work with them again. Saying that, we expected to have some issues along the way and there were a couple of bumps along the road. The pace of work was so fast sometimes that work was done that had to be changed once we saw it and explained our preferences. When that happened, Jason and Ray worked hard to get things resolved to our satisfaction. Jason was very clear to tell us at an early meeting that owners must be ready and willing to make decisions in a timely manner. What was really helpful, was that he provided high quality documentation to guide the decision making process. We made most of our decisions (plumbing, lighting, doors, windows) before our first home was even demolished and were available to be on site to walk through and answer questions for the contractors when they needed us. My husband put in a lot of hours to make sure he and Ray were on the same page. Ray got to know us and our style and understood what we were trying to achieve with the house. The open communication between Ray and my husband and our ability to be available and make decisions allowed us to move in the week after our initial completion date (despite Harvey hitting in the middle of the project). We are very proud of our new home and feel grateful to have been able to work with a team of experienced, hard-working and responsive professionals. We would (and have) recommended Legion to others who have been affected by flooding or are interested in building a custom home in Houston.

I really love the new property that I recently bought from Legion. I looked through a number of properties at the price of ~$300,000, and Legion's property was outstanding in both design and quality. Also, Legion was very reasonable (even generous) in discussing correction items.

My family and I are extremely happy with our new home. The quality of work was above what we expected. Very accommodating to our request and made a very difficult process as seamless as possible. We loved that we were able to use any vendor and not just the ones they usually use. We didn't have to bring pictures to try to get close to what we wanted. We got what we wanted. As a first-time homebuyer, it was a great experience working with Jason and Legion Builders. He took the time to meet with us and explain certain aspects of how the house was built. When we felt one of the closets could have used some more space behind walls that were already built, he worked with us and had the closet reconstructed to maximize the space. Jason has also been a great help to us in assisting with any repairs to the house after we moved in.

We purchased our home through a developer and were impressed with the details of the construction. Our inspectors observed that the home was above-average for new construction in Houston and we have found that to be true. We did experience some serious water intrusion issues with the stucco about a year after we moved in, but Mr. Guyer and his field personnel worked very hard to correct the issues and were extremely responsive and cooperative with us in fixing the problems. We have been very satisfied with the repairs and his willingness to stand behind his work product. He and his staff went above and beyond to make everything right.

We are very happy with our home building experience. We did a complete new build of a 5000 square foot home. We finished on schedule in just 9 months. We also stayed on budget. This was our first home building experience and Jason was excellent guiding us through it. He was on site nearly every day and was immediately responsive to us. I would highly recommend Legion Builders to anyone who is in the market to build a new home. Legion Builders made the home building experience stress free. The Project Manager was always available to answer our questions, he was very knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the entire building process. If he didn't answer his phone when we initially called, he would always call us back within a 24 hour time frame. Legion Builders meet our deadlines, and stayed within our budget. Legion Builders tore down an old garage and rebuilt a new garage with 600 square feet second floor quarters. The end product was terrific and had nice touches. The final product was a top quality product and am happy with the new structure. There was a 3 month delay in pouring the foundation but it was related to the fact in 2014 it rained every week consecutively for months.

Jason was an excellent partner for my be build in the Heights. He was patient and provided excellent guidance throughout the duration of my build. He reigned me in when he thought I was going overboard, and ultimately helped me build an excellent house that I am proud to call my home. I highly recommend Jason for your build.

I would highly recommend this builder. He's professional, honest and great to work with. Jason did build my house on Hawthorne Street. When we sold the house, the buyer had hired two professional companies to inspect the house and paid over $900 to do it. Both inspection reports came excellent and only minor details were there. Jason came to the final walk through and took care of all the concerns the buyer had and went beyond to make them happy.

We don't usually provide reviews, but you won't often encounter a businesses like Legion Builders. Buying a home to be built was very scary for us at first, but Legion Builders (LB) was able to remove all that scary part out of the home buying equation thanks to their: # Knowledge: LB is highly competent in the construction of houses and will not hesitate to share what they know in order to bring light on any questions or concerns you may have. They took the time to explain the technicalities on house building but also helped in understanding the overall building process. # Professionalism: LB is by far the best business interaction we've had for years!! Not only were they able to understand and clear out our concerns, they were always trying their best to respond quickly and efficiently with the highest quality they could deliver. #Honesty: Finally a business which value honesty as part of their foundation! All along the construction process, LB was honest and realistic about what we should expect to be delivered, what can or can't be done, easy of difficult, pricey or inexpensive.. This approach was for us a great plus in gaining confidence in the overall process. #Quality: It has been more than a year now that our house got finished and we moved-in, and we couldn't be happier about it. Overall LB made this experience an awesome and amazing one!! We can't be more thankful to have had the chance to work with them and we would definitely work with them again in the future. Mr. Jason Guyer, President of Legion Builders, has been excellent and most professional with my project of building two homes in the Houston museum district. He could not have been more patient with all the obstacles that we faced in the beginning of project, e.g. drainage, sewer, permitting, and he gladly helped to successfully resolve these troubles. Jason and his team are very knowledgeable with their work. Project started in Dec 2014. As of May 2015, we have completed fire sprinklers, rough-ins including electrical, plumbing, HvAC, and now ready for sheetrock. , I could not be happier that I have found Mr Guyer and Legion Homes to be my builder.
