Matthew Kay started out in the painting business, which led to construction. He started with a contractor doing large homes on the coast of Maine in the late 1990's, doing a lot of framing and exterior finishes. He moved to another contractor with a small crew and learned the cabinet, stair-work, and interior finish aspect of home building. Eventually Kay Construction began with a small three man crew, and in the past 8 years has been flooded with new construction projects. Creating high end products in beautiful Midcoast Maine, Kay Construction prides itself on teamwork as strength for success in building beautiful custom homes.
