Avoid. Save your money. Hire someone else. Paid 100k to GC (Todd (Sensitive Information Hidden)) for a 350 sq ft addition and 300 sq ft deck. Sliding doors were not paid. Roof is not paid. Framer did not receive money for work performed. Window installer was not paid. Electrician was not paid. And this is the only sub contractors that I'm aware of that have reached out to me. All work had to be done 2-3 times to meet any kind of quality or standard. Have had water leaks from new roof installed and mold has formed on drywall, everything needed to be ripped out. He has used the wrong materials just to cut costs at every corner of the project. Concrete slab was poured incorrectly with no footers, and not enough support beams and now I have foundation issues. I have had to be hands on with framing and decking. So I have put in a lot of work and effort; on top of paying Todd (Sensitive Information Hidden) 100k and he has just sent a letter to terminate contract. Not one aspect of the project is complete. I will have to pay for all new contractors to come behind to fix and repair for the entire project. He will take your money, cut corners, do cheap and shoddy work, and then leave the job without finishing or paying any of his workers. Avoid at all costs.

Todd came and built some shelves at my house. They looked great and he listened to what we wanted and built into those specifications. Unfortunately, a few weeks after the projects was done the top shelf started to come out and angle downwards. I contacted Todd multiple times to fix the shelf as I was nervous about things falling off and putting too much weight on it. He was initially responsive but he canceled multiple times and never ended up coming through to fix the shelves. I've still tried to connect with him multiple times and he's now become unresponsive

We recently had Todd and crew re build a deck for us. We were very happy with the result, and the working relationship. Todd was quick to respond with any questions or problems we had. We had some issues with the stairs as they were being built, and he came out right away and had them remedied. We would absolutely work with Todd again!

I am very pleased with the work provided by REVEAL BUILD STUDIO/Hummel Custom Carpentry/Todd Hummel. I needed to bring the kitchen, master bath and flooring up to date. We had the 2 tiered laminate kitchen island leveled and replaced with new quartz counter top, new sink & fixtures and added built-in drawer microwave. Remaining counter tops replace with quartz, new backsplash, new vent hood over stove, added under cabinet lighting and built-in wine/beverage cooler. The honey oak cabinet doors & drawers were primed/painted to bring up-to-date. Todd also did a custom build wine rack for a bookcase that turned out perfect. In the master bath we replaced the same honey oak vanity with a new vanity and counter top & fixtures. There was mold behind the old vanity which required additional demolition and drywall replacement and adjustments to the plumbing on that side. The walls on inside/outside/attic were inspected to confirm the moisture was local to that 1 fixture. Removed the wall vanity mirror and horrendous bulb fixture lighting and replaced with 2 new fixtures and mirrors. Added a tile accent as a vanity backsplash to match the new tile around the shower. The shower pan and tile from shower & tub surround was removed and re-tiled, new glass door, new fixtures, toliet and completely repainted. Re-oriented electrical fixtures, new LVP flooring and replaced towel accessories. Very bright and up-to-date. The big impact was covering 1100 sq ft with new LVP and new baseboards. This covered the old, cracked 12inch tile. It appeared to be very labor intensive and turned out great and pulls all the new features together. Todd’s cost estimate for the renovation was inline with 2 other estimates and he was able to start sooner. Todd’s crews arrived timely and worked through each day. The renovation time estimate of 4-5 weeks was met. Important to note that the majority of the newly installed material are purchased by the buyer and were made available for timely install. Todd was also able to pick-up materials from the stores. We are completely happy with the final product and love our home and would recommend Todd to anyone looking to have their kitchen or bath remodeled.

I worked with Todd at RBS and was thrilled with the outcome (and my wife was too!). We built out an indoor fireplace and cabinetry along with shelving, lighting and shiplap for the surrounding wall. From the start of the project till it was complete, Todd was overly communicative, timely and took our vision and brought it to life. We even had them build our custom shelving and mantel, which we love! Really appreciated the professionalism and transparency. Will definitely work with them again on future projects.

I contracted with Hummel to replace my front door. The price came in at twice what my friends in the industry said I should have paid, but because of inflation I decided to agree. Todd arranged to deliver the door from the retailer and set a date to install. He installed the door and repaired adjacent drywall and door jamb over two days. The initial installation was defective: the doorknob was upside down and the door stuck so badly it wouldn't open. He returned to fix the doorknob but failed to fix the sticking door. I contacted him to schedule for the repair as per our contract, And we set a date. In the lead up to the date, he stopped answering my messages and would not take my phone calls. Now I will have to find another contractor to fix the job that he did. Best avoided.

I reached out to Todd to help me convert our 1 stall garage into interior living space. We have a 2 bedroom 1 bath 800 square foot house and we both work from home now, we needed the elbow room! He came by, looked at the space, took some measurements and listened to my wish list. A few days later, he provided me with a comprehensive estimate with cost of supplies, labor, etc. listed as line items. Todd was very communicative and if ever there was something to discuss, he would come to me immediately and we would figure out a fix or a tweak as needed. He is a fast worker and a hard worker. We had a couple delays due to the electrician, but all in all the project was completed to my satisfaction. Since he finished creating the "shell" of a room I requested, I have finished it out with paint and cabinetry and furniture. I am thrilled with my new space!

I was extremely pleased with my decision to hire Hummel for my custom carpentry needs. They were professional, fair, and did an outstanding job on my project. I would recommend them to anyone.

I hired Todd and his team to completely restore the bottom floor of my house after it flooded. The restoration included demolition, drywall repair, painting, completely restoring kitchen, completely restoring a bathroom, flooring installation, and more. He and his team were able to start work within a week of signing the contract and finished the entire restoration in a month. The finished project looks great and the entire process was stress free. I would highly recommend Hummel Custom Carpentry to anyone who needs work done on their property and plan to use them for any work I need done in the future.

Looking at the previous reviews, we got Todd on an off time. He did not show up on the agreed day and did not text until I contacted him an hour later. He came the second day for an hour and a half to demo the bathroom vanity and cut the water line. I had to call a plumber who told him what tubing and glue to use. (He was baffled that the water lines were on the floor) When he removed the 87 inch double sink and vanity top he stood it against the wall for three days. He didn't have any help to assist him in bringing in the 84 inch vanity cabinet. He did a very good job filling in tile that he replaced. He left on the third day in a huff saying he didn't feel comfortable installing the faucets and drains. When he returned Friday he installed the faucets and broke down the 87 inch double sink and vanity top in three parts and loaded it and all the trash in a trailer. This was a very stressful experience.

We hired to Todd to build a custom deck around our swim spa. He did an excellent job with a rather "specific" plan (not a normal deck!) and had some great ideas for some of our more difficult areas. He was professional and takes pride in his work. We will definitely look to Todd again for any future carpentry needs.

Todd Hummel and his team were great to work with. We made multiple changes to the design throughout the process and they could not have been more accommodating. The work is top notch and Todd's flexibility and professionalism is a step above. I could not recommend him more, and cant wait to enjoy our beautiful deck for years to come.
