After we knock down walls and put new ones up, tear out old plumbing and install new, scrape off popcorn texture and add coffered ceilings, completely re-invent the lighting scemes in these homes, update to hi-efficiency appliances and eco-friendly windows and insulation, we return to the marketplace a home that a fraction of a comparable new-build, but delivers so much more than today's this-walled, cookie-cutter homes.
