Renovating during a pandemic is no small challenge, and no renovation is ever perfect, however our experience with Grenor Homes was one of the best we've ever had with a contractor. After a bit of a slow start, Greg and his team came to us with a solid plan, expert advice, and a very reasonable timeline, laid out in a proper schedule that we could all see and was easily accessable via an app. We were very fortunate to have few shipping delays on materials and Grenor Homes' tradespeople were always on time and all of them were excellent to work with. Positives - Grenor Homes has their own tradespeople to draw from, so there is no issue with tradespeople just not showing up one day. If they are on the schedule, they will show up (within reason, of course. They show up on the right day, but the times can be random!) Greg is accessable - he was usually very quick to respond to our questions and would often come oversee work that was being done. He was honest and clear with us about the process from the start. He sets and manages expectations really well. He helped us omit a few things that were going to be very expensive and offered alternatives to other design choices that made more practical sense. You only get that from someone who really knows what they're doing. The construction work is really top-notch. The plumbers and electical contractors were wonderful to work with. Something else that was outstaanding was Greg organising for us to meet with some of the suppliers directly. We were able to go to some warehouses and see our countertops before they were cut, and we were given a full tour of where our cabinets would be made. Being able to see these things may not seem like a big deal, but we got a first-hand view of the quality products we were going to have in our home, and it's impressive that Grenor Homes wants to share that with their clients. Things that could use a bit of work - while for the most part, communication was great, there were a couple of instances of "radio silence" that were a bit scary. While we completely understand that managing a busy business with multiple projects, a family, and all the other aspects of life can be challenging, those moments where we really needed someone to advise us on project statuses and little finishing peices got a bit scary when the contractor wasn't available. This didn't happen often, but at the time, it felt like critcal moments. Like any relationship, you have to learn each other's patterns along the way. Eventually we figured each other out and it made communication easy. Overall, Greg and the folks at Grenor homes are amazing people who do amazing work. We cannot express how thankful we are that we got to work with Greg and his team to get our place to this level. We've been living in our new space for a few months now and it still feels like it isn't ours - it's so above and beyone what we expected. If you can get Grenor Homes for your project, you'll be in great hands.

When we decided to renovate our home, our designer SGDI/ Top Shelf Design, recommended Grenor Homes to complete the construction. Greg and Dan were wonderful to work with. They were honest, hardworking, professional, knowledgeable and very organized. The site was cleaned every day and the trades were respectful of our schedule ( we lived in the house during the reno). Any questions or concerns were addressed promptly. We met regularly to discuss where we were in the construction timeline and budget, and they were very accommodating when we added to the scope of the project. How do I even begin to tell you how GREAT it was to have Grenor Home (Daniel in particular) renovate our ensuite bathroom for us after a shower leak made it necessary?!! From our first meeting, I trusted him implicitly and even gave him access to our house when we were away. He was so conscientious that when he was not completely happy with a design, he suggested and built something even better! He always consulted me before any change was made, kept me informed as the project went along, was friendly and "real" and the work was excellent! He ALWAYS had the room and area clean for us on our return home, which was a real feat and so kind as we continued to live in the bedroom while the work was being done! I really felt he went out of his way to do extra for us because he CARED, even though it was a "small" project in relation to other work he usually does. They also helped us tremendously with the paperwork for the insurance company, which covered almost the whole project! He will certainly be the person I call for any future work and I WILL be recommending him to anyone who needs reno work or construction done!

Greg and Grenor Homes have created a home office that I and my family can really enjoy. I gave Greg my wish list for a solution in a problem area and the result has greatly exceeded expectations. They built this within my time frame, with a professional presentation and execution and within a fair budget. I have had more than my share of experience with contractors over almost 40 years of home ownership and I can honestly say this was the best by far and I will be hiring them again!

We had a great experience with Grenor Homes who did our entire main floor renovation, removing a wall to create an open concept, new kitchen with a large island which very quickly has become the focal point for family and friends to meet. In addition three bathrooms were remodelled, the electrical and plumbing were updated and with a fresh coat of paint throughout our home is absolutely beautiful. Dan and Greg are professional, highly skilled, friendly, provided good advice from the start, including a referral to an experienced design firm SGDI with whom they had an established working relationship. Listening to our needs and vision, drawings were made, budgets and time frames were established and adhered to through our project. We had a great rapport with them and are extremely pleased with the quality of their work and overall finished products exceeded our expectations. I cannot speak highly enough of Greg, his team and the consultative approach they took with our townhome renovation project. When I began researching companies to work with for this project, I was quickly met with unprofessional and at times rude contractors that would either tell me things were not possible, or out of scope for our budgetary needs. Greg kindly gave me a call after I submitted my info here on Houzz. He stood out because there was not one element of negativity in his approach. We quickly set up a consultation to scope the project together, and encouraged us to put together some lookbooks here on the platform to get an idea of our design preferences. We were presented with a wide array of options when it came to materials selections, each within a different pricing bracket. This helped up considerably, as we were able to select materials to add value to certain aspects of the home, whilst simplifying and saving in other areas. Greg and Dan were happy to negotiate price when the time came to it and we got underway with the project quickly. Overall we estimated the renovations taking around 3-4 months and the team stuck within that schedule. There were a few finishing issues and small things upon completion. These however, were rectified at no extra cost and extremely quickly which only furthered our satisfaction with the overall project! My pictures will not do it justice, hoping Greg will upload his soon enough as the transformation was exceptional.

When we started looking for a contractor to re-do our bathroom, we brought 3 contractors. All of which we found here on Houzz. First off, Grenor came in and did the best job in explaining to us their approach, any constraints they foresaw, the timing and suggestions for improvement. It was by far the most thoughtful consultation of the three and that was why they were picked. When it came to the work, they did what they said they were going to do. On time, very prompt. And managed all the moving parts (sub contractors) very well. The project was a success. Even after we saw a few small things post-project, they came in right away to resolve. I can say that I would give them the biggest praise: I would definitely use them again for my next project.
