The company was founded based on 15+ years of construction experience, with the goal of serving commercial and home-improvement needs in the District, as well as the surrounding areas in Maryland & Virginia.

There aren't enough superlatives in the English language to describe the positive experience I had with Ali, Dominik, Joe & Larry- an exceptional process from start to finish. They completely remodeled my Bethesda home, ahead of schedule. Zero delays, major conflicts, dramatic nonsense from the men- just professionalism all around- from the business owners and every subcontractor that worked on the job.

I am delighted to discuss our recent experience working with Evcon. Bottom line is this: We would hire them again in a heartbeat. Indeed, I have recommended that some of our dearest friends hire them for their own projects. They’re that good.
Evcon and their subcontractors are exceptionally honest, ethical, and decent people – which is not always the norm in this industry. That was especially important to us. I have been home throughout the project. I have observed every stage and got to know each of the talented craftsmen and tradesmen who did such an exceptional job — marveling at the craftsmanship, professionalism, attention to detail, and most especially Evcon’s ability to come up with extraordinarily creative solutions to problems I feared could not be resolved. Despite the unprecedented nature of the pandemic, we were able to proceed with few interruptions (most of which were supply chain related but none of which proved to be a big deal). What really impressed us were the scores of little accommodations they made over the course of the project to ensure that both we and they could avoid putting us or them at risk. This included putting up a number of zip walls, always wearing masks indoors (long before that the norm!) and maintaining proper social distancing throughout.

Best company I've ever worked with, hands down. While we were initially considering just a kitchen/bathroom remodel for our ancient townhouse, after choosing EVCON (through Houzz!), we turned the project into a full-scale remodel, complete with rebuilding a sagging, leaky 2-story extension, conducting a full backyard patio and parking makeover, opening up the downstairs, and turning our kitchen and bathroom into a magazine-worthy space.
While EVCON excels in the quality and efficiency of their work (and some of the best painting and drywall work I've ever seen), what ultimately prompted me to use this company was the people. Ali, Dom, and Joe were a pleasure to interact with everyday; in fact, I almost miss the daily texts I would get. EVCON was always upfront, clear, and fast about price estimates and project progress, breaking all stereotypes about unresponsive construction companies!
All-in-all, I can't wait until my next housing project, as I'm sure I'll be using EVCON again!

EVCON constructed a two story addition to our home that included a new kitchen, and master bedroom with bath.
I could not have been happier with the work or the project managment. I received clear and frequent communication from the EVCON team, reasonable pricing for any change orders I requested, and flexibility when delays were encountered due to material selection/delivery issues that were my fault.
I feel fortunate to have worked with such a great team and would not hesitate to give EVCON my highest recommendation.

EVCON, Inc just finished up a project to renovate the wall of an office condo unit my company owns. It was a complex job because it was a 3rd story window, and the original construction was so shoddy that the wall had essentially rotted away. EVCON came in and did an assessment, figured out the right way to fix the issue, and had custom pieces fabricated to support the existing window system. Once we started the project, they were in and out in a week, far less than they had estimated, with minimal disruption to the occupants. These guys did a great job!

My husband, Lincoln, and I have worked with EVCON for well over a decade. They have painted our town house outside and in; totally done over the roof, rebuilt our deck, installed a modernized kitchenette, cleared out our gutters, and, as a result of unusually heavy rains in late May, assisted us in finding the source of water leakage that flooded our basement apartment and then restored the entire space to beautiful condition. We hired EVCON for a complete remodel of our 1890’s three story row home in Capitol Hill Washington, D.C. EVCON was one of three contractors that bid on our renovation project, however, as soon as we met the owners of the company – Ali and Dominick - we knew that they were the right fit for us. As homeowners, we wanted to be very involved in our remodel project and working with EVCON always felt like we were on the same team. From the start, communication with EVCON was excellent. They were always responsive immediately and willing to meet with us at times that were convenient for our work schedule to discuss the project. This aspect really set the foundation for the successful completion of our renovation. With any major home renovation there are always unexpected problems that present themselves. We always felt comfortable working through these problems with EVCON and our architect and there were never any issues when we wanted to get a second opinion which reinforced the team atmosphere. Furthermore, every employee working on our home was always kind, professional and respectful. EVCON was incredibly sensitive to the collateral effects that a project of this magnitude can have on neighbors/the neighborhood. Unlike other construction companies I’ve seen, they really went the extra mile to minimize the impact, for example, limiting the time there was a dumpster out in front our home and communicating with our neighbors prior to doing any extremely loud demolition/construction or painting which created fumes. These were just a few of the small things they did that made a big difference. Aside from our professional working experience, EVCON does wonderful work. We have received so many compliments on our home. It was truly a situation where they were able to bring our design and ideas to life. It has been about 6 months since the completion of our project and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. I would highly recommend hiring EVCON for your next residential project.

Our renovation project started out as a handful of pinpoint upgrades but doubled in scope as we kept tacking on “while-we’re-at-its“ as our vision of the end result evolved. EVCON did an outstanding job of rolling with the punches we were throwing at them and kept our job moving with minimal delays (which were all our fault). At the end they made sure were were happy with every last detail. They were very nice to work with and I would hire them again.

EVCON was professional in their work with our historic building in every way. The work was excellent, they were very responsive and they treated us with seriousness even though it was not a large job for them. I highly recommend using EVCON for any home maintenance or construction project. Even if EVCON is not the cheapest option, I would still hire EVCON based on the quality of the work and professionalism.

I would absolutely use them again for any home renovations needs. They were super professional, did a great and timely job - were clean and accommodating... we always have someone staying in our basement unit and did not want there to be too much noise during certain hours. Everything was accommodated. Pricing was also competitive, which in this area is incredibly important. Also, they had an architect at the ready and applied for all the respective permits within the first couple of weeks, so the work could begin soon thereafter. We had interior and exterior work done- a new back and front fence, a back deck, a water filtration system, a fireplace/mantel with new molding, transom, master bath shelving... we even had them do some electrical work. I can vouch for the tradesmen they work with as well- incredibly professional, showed up when they said they would, did good work.

We hired Evcon to remount a decorative door that had sagged on its hinges. Their employees found that the problem was that the stud behind the door frame had rotted. They quickly proposed a reasonable fix for the problem and had the entire job completed in one day. Even with the additional time and materials, we were more than satisfied with the quality of the work and the price. Their employees are professional, friendly, and easy to work with.

The most important thing I can say about Evon is: VALUE. This terrific team worked within my budget, were punctual and are meeting deadlines. They keep their promises and are terrific to work with. Evcon's knowledgeable, punctual and dedicated team is performing outstanding craftsmanship in a professional manner. Their people have excellent knowledge of their respective trade area (carpentry, project management, safety, etc.). Evcon is providing me with excellent, ongoing work as I upgrade my home. Recently they built a beautiful deck, adding value to the house, and providing a welcoming outdoor area where family and friends can relax. This is just steps from the dining area in my split-level home: perfect for barbecuing and bringing hot food directly to the table!
In addition to being at the top of their game professionally, they proactively obtained the appropriate permits, saving me time, and have made helpful recommendations. I also plan to contract with Evcon to re-do my kitchen. You will be very happy with Evcon's work!

Evcon painted our entire house as well as some minor touch-ups (replace doors, fix tiles, ect) prior to us selling and they did an amazing job. In fact our house ended up selling for $10 K over asking within 3 days of listing.

I hired Evcon to get my home ready for sale. The work included painting as well as repairs to a bathroom. Evcon re painted the entire 1 story house which previously had markings all over the walls. They also replaced the water damaged wooden bathroom floor with tile. A water damaged window in the bathroom was also replaced. They worked cleanly, professionally and quickly. The price was hard to beat and I would definitely hire them again

These guys painted my entire house. They were the most reasonable and professional from the few other estimates I got.
