I live in Ohio and hired John Marzulli and Emerald Contractors to do handicap improvements for my parents in their home in Tarpon Springs. John came highly recommended. What made this job particularly difficult was that all the work had to be planned and completed before my parents arrived for the winter. The project included installing a half step and pull bar in a doorway, installation of a comfort height toilet and a carpeted wheelchair ramp. The ramp had to be designed from scratch because of the curved tile steps it have to cover. John and I worked strictly by phone and email. A total leap of faith for both of us. After several conversations with John, I knew I was working with a man of integrity and compassion. He visited the home, sent me a budget and we made a downpayment. He kept me totally informed of the progress by sending pictures as things were completed. The work was completed by the agreed upon due date, which as we know is not the norm in the home improvement business! All the work and cleanup was completed without supervision. Through our many conversations, John was even kind enough to provide other professionals and their contact information for services that may help my parents in the future. Emerald Contractors Inc. has just completed a project for me that involved extensive repairs and interior remodeling. I found John Marzulli (owner) by happenstance when the first contractor failed to show up for a couple of meetings and that was my lucky day. Emerald is a gem of a contractor and a rarity in Florida construction. John’s professionalism, responsiveness (yes, he returns calls and shows up on time!), excellent subs, management, expertise and quality standards are the best I have encountered in my 20 years in Florida (which includes many projects including remodeling, water repairs, an addition on one home and construction of a new home). Through his supervision, my job was completed on a timely basis and within my budget parameters. John was very conscious of the bottom line and always had alternatives for the more expensive pieces of the project, with a recommendation when, and when not to, use an alternative repair approach while at the same time never letting quality slide. John is my first call when I need any construction work done and I highly recommend him to anyone.

Our family has used Emerald Contracting from relatively minor jobs (installing new front doors and custom storm doors) to large (at least to us!) projects. Emerald did a bathroom remodel, replacement of a front porch/deck/staircase, and, most recently, helped us repair a roof/skylight leak which turned into a major repair. When you are dealing with Emerald Contracting you are dealing with an honest, up-front, and "stands-behind-their-work" company. They are always responsive, especially in an emergency situation (which our roof repair was). Emerald has many, many contacts in the contracting business so, even if the job you need done is not one of general contracting, Emerald can help you find a qualified, respected and honest contractor. Everyone at Emerald was personable, up front, honest, on time, creative, and well versed in the field of construction. Thanks to their diligence, our kitchen was finished on time, under budget, and has gotten nothing but RAVE reviews ever since. We appreciated John Marzulli's (owner) willingness to discuss multiple price points along the way and discuss the real bottom line - value for the money! We felt like we had such a great experience, we also had our master bathroom redone, lighting in our living room, and a series of smaller projects... all of which turned out beautifully.
