Donjo Construction, LLC was founded in 2013 by Felipe A. Tobar. The company name was derived from Tobar’s late father, Jose, who was nicknamed the “Don”, which ultimately became Donjo. Jose was known in his town in Chile as a strong, trustworthy and reliable confidant in the community, many traits in which the company was founded. Felipe’s mission for the company is to continue his father’s legacy by providing reliable, trustworthy, honest – and most importantly – quality work. The company is founded on the principle that the customer comes first, and Donjo Construction provides a high standard of service and personal attention to each client. Our old deck was rotting and needed to be torn down and completely rebuilt. After getting three estimates Felipe stood out for his clear expertise and transparency. It was an easy decision to go with Donjo and we have not been disappointed. Felipe's crew is hard working, expert, all nice people and Felipe is easy to work with. Our deck is the best constructed and the nicest in the neighborhood. We could not have done better.

The Donjo team completely changed our house for the better! We had a steep and dangerous basement stairwell smack in the middle of our house between the kitchen and dining room, and of all the contractors we consulted Felipe really seemed to be able to best envision how much better the space could be. We are so glad we decided to work with him and his team. After moving the stairwell off to the side, it freed up the kitchen for a full remodel and it's just beautiful now. They were respectful of our space and our time. Bonus, they are great with pets! Mike guided our large dog back to bed when we forgot to lock him up before work one day, and everyone was accommodating when we needed to let him out and would even give him a little pat on the head. It might sound small but if you're a dog lover like us you'll get it :) Reynaldo was always pleasant and helpful. Special shout-out to Valerie who fielded our many emails and was patient with me while I changed my mind about 1000 times :) I hope they and everyone I didn't mention by name knows how much we appreciate them making our most used room in the house our favorite room in the house.

We absolutely loved Donjo, who just completed a renovation of our basement, master bedroom and bathroom that spanned about 3 months. Each worker, from Felipe on down, is highly skilled, professional, kind and dependable. Their office staff is friendly and promptly responded to our e-mails and helped us coordinate on the materials that we purchased for the project. Their craftsmanship is top-rate, and they pay close attention to details and finishes. From Day One, we knew that we were in good hands with Donjo, and they worked with us very closely to bring our dream to reality. We are THRILLED at how our project turned out, and we now feel like we are living in a fancy vacation suite instead of our old home. We will be using Donjo again - and again, and again.

Excellent experience! We used Donjo’s services to remove two walls and put up a load bearing beam. The floors drywall and new spacious room looks great! Pricing was very reasonable and work was top notch

Donjo construction is the real deal! From the quote through the completion of our project, communication was honest and quick. The crew was respectful of social distancing. Most important, they did a fantastic job and were so detail oriented. Right down to finding the right lightbulbs for our fixture!

Referred to Felipe for a plumbing problem, told he was the best. Didnt know he was a contractor with his own company Donjo! Asked about work for sewage damage to my kitchen. I was so impressed by his knowledge and suggestions that I hired him on the spot. He has been everything I could have hoped for. He is honest, kind, generous and just a good person. My work is finished now and its perfect. I will always recommend Felipe and Donjo to anyone interested in having work done. 15 stars out of 10!!!

After doing some research, we decided to choose Felipe and his team to renovate our kitchen. We are extremely happy with the results. Not only did the kitchen turn out exactly like we imagined, it was a pleasure to work with Felipe and his team. They worked with us to meet our needs and it was always very easy to get in contact with the team if we had questions. We did run in to a few unforeseen delays, but each was communicated with us clearly and the project finished on budget. I would recommend Donjo and would likely reach out to them for future projects.

Not only did Donjo get our kitchen and attached bath project going sooner than expected, they also went above and beyond during the project. They helped us with everything from flooring decisions to hanging towel rings. The team was extremely courteous in our home (they cleaned up each night before leaving) and were very responsive to all of my questions. Not to mention the project came out even more beautiful than we had hoped. We are looking forward to working with them again!

I hired DonJo to renovate my Parents’ townhome for sale. They took an old, worn, and in some areas crumbling interior and breathed new life into it. For an affordable price they brought the 70 year old home up to code, added modern efficiencies and aesthetics, and maximized the existing space by expertly opening the floor plan which increased usable are and storage. The addition of recessed lighting in rooms without overhead lighting brought the home into the modern age. The kitchen and bathroom redesigns were stunning and made the house feel special. The DonJo team was upfront and honest in pricing and kept me informed throughout the process. A team you can trust and I will be using them again in the near future.
